2017 World Series Thread: Cosjobs washes his shirt & dooms the Astros to a game 7 (1 Viewer)

It's crazy that MLB hasn't done everything to make J. Altuve a household name.

The advantage MLB has over any sport is you can be any shape or size and still be the best.  That should be their whole marketing campaign.

How are we not annoyed by a Judge/Altuve commercial?

Guys who will also get Astros WS rings:  Tony Sipp, Tyler Clippard, Jordan Jankowski Norichika Aoki, Teoscar Hernandez, Max Stassi

Celebrated by taking a lime sparkling water outside, shaking it up and opening it and spraying it all over the place.

Then I poured it out. Because, lime sparkling water.  :X

I told my wife I'd wake her up by spraying champagne all over her in the bed if we won. Probably not the best idea I've ever had.

I couldn't decide on watching live or not watching at all, so I gave it an hour and a half tape delay and fast forwarded dead time to catch up.
Dude I'm just looking forward to some stress free evenings. This has been nerve racking.

Remember when Charlie Morton was lined up for game 7 of the ALCS and everyone was talking about how many dozens of runs he was going to give up?

It's one of the stranger late career turnarounds in recent memory.  He's been a fixture on fantasy league waiver wires since the Clinton administration

NO floods and the Saints win a ring.

Houston floods and the Astros win a ring.

Im fully expencting a Browns fan terrorist to drop a suitcase nuke in a Lake Erie any day now.

The amazing thing about the Astros and all those years of futility when they had three consecutive No. 1 picks, and two of them -- Appel and Aiken -- made absolutely no contribution to this.

I guess Correa makes up for it, though. (And Bregman, who went No. 2 overall the following year.)

Congrats. Astros fans! Very likeable and enjoyable team to watch.

Astros have a lot of likeable players. I didn't particularly care who won but seeing Altuve/Correa/Springer/Bregman do their thing is great and big fan of Verlander/Keuchel.

Also please everyone continue ignoring the awful post a few up from this.

I think this series  post-season has done more for the sport than anything since the strike.

*as compensation for not signing Aiken, they got the Bregman pick.

Cool seeing the local stations catch Biggio and Bagwell on the field after the game, seeing that they got to be there and experience this.  Wish they'd been able to get one as players.
