2017 World Series Thread: Cosjobs washes his shirt & dooms the Astros to a game 7 (1 Viewer)

Congrats ‘Stros fans.  I would have started Wood and come in with Kershaw, but we’re stuck with this overmanaging stats whore.

I think you have to start Darvish.  He had two good starts in the playoffs before game 3.  You ride the horse that brung you.

The two runs in the first were helped by Bellinger's error but they're still two runs on the board.  Roberts and Honeycutt should have gotten somebody up as soon as Yu walked McCann to lead off the second.  The problem with bringing in starters is that they usually take longer to warm up (unless they're Tim Lincecum) but the Dodgers had other options to get the three outs.  It was the bottom of the order coming up and I'm sure Roberts thought Darvish could pitch out of it but the game was lost before Morrow was ready.

Congrats Astro's fans. Love watching that team play, and Hinch did a good job mixing the new analytics and also managing with his gut. Love that he trusts his guys to perform. A long time wait for you guys.

The Dodgers had 13 at-bats with RISP.  Clayton Kershaw had a good outing.  Kenley Jansen locked down an inning.  Alex Wood looked money.  Lance McCullers Jr hit FOUR BATTERS

The Dodgers were not victorious.  :lmao:

Great series. Enjoyed watching it. Springer is awesome, and I was cheering because he's a UConn guy. Played on the team with Matt Barnes and another guy that went high in the draft. I don't believe that team made the CWS.

Anyway, congrats to the Astros fans on the board and feeling Dodger blue pain on the other side. I've been there.

I believe he totally mismanaged game 4 and panicked in taking Morton out when he was still dominating. Cost them the win imo.

Whenever I think we've reached peak stupidity, someone is always out to prove me wrong.

I don't have a problem with this. No mention of a wife or family and based on that article there probably never will be, so if the Astros are the number one thing in his life, he's just decided to sacrifice future entertainment spending for what could be a once in a lifetime chance.

You know what, you're right... Prob didn't cost him more than $10k all in.

:lmao: at the guy that will be lucky to get $.50 on the dollar when its time to hock those watches questioning how others spend their money.

Licensed Sales have been strong. The total event was forecasted to be 15-20% less than ‘15 but better than ‘11-‘14...but the first 24 hours have been good enough to possibly catch ‘15.  Don’t think that would’ve been the case with LA, although it wouldn’t have been far behind.

Is what fishing?   I'm shuked here.
He can't believe you would consider going to a comic-book movie over a World Series parade. Me, I don't judge.
I didn't say what I was going to do.  I said crap as I realized they were at the same time.  Which I realized as I was typing the first sentence.

But yes I'm going to the movie.  Would have watched the parade on TV anyway.
