2018 NHL Thread: Cappy is happy while the rest of us pray to the ping pong gods for Tuesday night (2 Viewers)

Just a total guess on my part,  but i think the Flyers pull the trigger on a trade by the weekend. Thursday night they play 3rd game in 4 nights so i think Friday is the day.

Season has gone from bad to worse and selling should begin.

Not sure if Simmonds is first to go but he's the biggest "prize". Maybe they start with a smaller deal first like Dale Wiese for a ham sammich or Raffl for a sammich and chips.
Let’s go all in and go for It. Trade anything remotely close to valuable and get those png pong balls. #loseforhughes

From nhl twitter

This marks the first time in the expansion era and just the eighth time in NHL history that a team has led by at least 12 points in the overall standings at the mid-way point of their season. #NHLStats

The last team to do it was 1960 Montreal

Anyone been to the hockey hall of fame?  I'm going next weekend.
yes. It is nice. Its a little off the beaten path. You have to go to this mall and then head downstairs.

It has some really cool interactive stuff that they video for you and you can email it to yourself. My kids had a lot of fun

It really is weird finding it. It looks like the entrance to a Macy’s.

It's better for kids than adults, in my opinion. I've been at least a dozen times but only once in the past ten years. It doesn't really change much, they could do a much better job at updating and rotating exhibits, like MLB does.

It's definitely a neat place to visit if you've never been before. Yes it's dumb that you can't enter off of Yonge Street. It's in such a nice beautiful old building.

C'est What is probably my favorite winter pub in Toronto and is just up the road.

I recall entering off the street and exiting into the mall.  That was so weird exiting into the mall. We had a great time.   They had a live trivia contest. Can't remember if it was against 5 or 9 others. I absolutely destroyed it and had a great time telling all the hosers that they just got destroyed by a kid from So Cal.   This was Aug 2001.

BREAKING NEWS: Michael Neuvirth is injured. Shocking i know. And in an upset, Brian Elliott is still hurt too.

Flyers signed journeyman Michael McKenna rather than call up Lyon.

Nice job by the US boys...playing for gold.

#24 for the Ruskies needs to pull himself together...he's the captain?  That was a disappointing lack of sportsmanship on his part.  Understand the emotion, but you're the captain..act like it.

If the Blues want to not suck, they have to ride Binnington. Yes I know how dumb that sounds but the alternative is Jake Allen.

Also, Delia may be the future for Chicago.

Also, also, I don't see Bobrovsky finishing the year in Columbus after today's suspension... Philly?

Why do goalies have to be such fragile, unpredictable souls?

Enjoy my hometown! Like others, I think it's well done with a lot of great history and interactive things to do. I remember when it was located in Exhibition Stadium, but it is now housed in a former Bank of Montreal building -- an actually fairly historic facade in terms of building in that area of downtown TO -- but agree the entrance was a little weird. I guess they thought the original bank entrance wasn't big enough to handle traffic or ticketing? Either way, a great feature is the trophy room, which is in the main hall of the old bank and I believe they store the original cup in the old bank vault.

I also hope you find the time to watch the Bruins/Leafs game - city should be pretty pumped for it. Bruins has been the Buds' modern nemesis, and will be fantastic to shake the mental edge the Bruins seem to always have on us with a solid -- and more importantly, a gritty physical -- W.

Has anyone heard what he did?  The only speculation I read was he left for the locker room after being pulled and didn't remain on the bench.

That sounds like something Torts would have a problem with,

Flyers send Jordan Weal to Arizona  for a 6th.  Coyotes also send a career minor league D back since they're at 50 contract limit.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: TB trades Slater Koekkoek to CHI for Jan Rutta. There’s also a swap of late-round draft picks.

Koekoek for Rutta

I suddenly want some Cocoa Puffs.

I don't understand this at all.  I hope TB aint on the hook for any of Rutta 2.25 cap hit.

I get it now from all the Canes pre game.  A great centerman makes him.  I don't understand how he won ROY or was an all star.  How did Eichels winger do last year?  Must been 40 goals at this point since Skinner isnt that good.  Fu waddell.
