What happened to his putter?Spieth starts off the day with a missed 3-footer.
USGA setup is a completely different animal. This event will be a grindThe legendary Dave Portnoy shot 4 under from the championship tees here a couple weeks ago. The pros should be just fine breaking par if he can do it.
Mine keeps going back to the "The US Open coverage will continue in a bit........"Any good streams for this? The one on the US Open website is garbage.
FS1 is the best way to stream now that TV coverage has begun.Mine keeps going back to the "The US Open coverage will continue in a bit........"
Nothing new inside 10 feet...now he's just not making long ones to make up for it. He was SO great for a period, that it was never sustainable. What happened to his putter?
I watched a shot of the grandstands for two minutes while the other boxes "loaded." Never saw one golf shot.Mine keeps going back to the "The US Open coverage will continue in a bit........"
Phil hits a long iron. "No! Break! Oh man, darn it! Oh? Hey, nice. That works."Amazing what a little wind can do.
Exactly what the Players missed dearly.Amazing what a little wind can do. Exactly what the USGA wanted and a shame they didn't get any at Erin Hills last year. McIlroy, Day, Speith, Phil, Bubba all struggling.
Big opp here for Tiger...he's hitting his irons well, and no one is making putts.
Laying 4, still not on the greenBig opp here for Tiger...he's hitting his irons well, and no one is making putts.
If I had that many people looking for my ball every time I hit it in the crap I'd be a scratch golfer.DJ is going to be really tough to beat.
Don't forget about the grandstands lining greens. If I had that many people looking for my ball every time I hit it in the crap I'd be a scratch golfer.
And all the innocent bystanders lining the fairways. It's like bowling with bumpers.Don't forget about the grandstands lining greens.
Henley just hit a sweet ### shot....no wait....it missed by a 6 inches or so and now its down the slope on the back....kinda crazy in my mind....got to give it to the guys that were able to maybe run it up and keep it on....anything that hits the green in the air on some of these shots has no chance....”fringe” must now be a no no for some freakin reason.....what used to be the fringe is like cut shorter then the greens...The run off on the back of all these greens is absolutely crazy.....we now have false fronts and false backs....these guys are having to hit a postage stamp to keep it on the green....saw one shot that damn near went in on the fly with a short iron, checked, and then still fed all the way back and down a huge lope...think it was Sergio...and I hate Sergio..
Dude completely changed the game and made it cool...gonna see every shot of every tournament he is in....nothing new...The one thing I didn't miss about Tiger being away from the game was actually seeing other players besides him hit shots.
USGA likes + signs. The run off on the back of all these greens is absolutely crazy.....we now have false fronts and false backs....these guys are having to hit a postage stamp to keep it on the green....saw one shot that damn near went in on the fly with a short iron, checked, and then still fed all the way back and down a huge lope...think it was Sergio...and I hate Sergio..
Get your moneys worth....I would love to shoot 18 there today and film all 150 shots.
Original design was smaller greens...Crenshaw and the other guy who renovated the course a few years ago enlarged the greens, but accentuated the run offs.Henley just hit a sweet ### shot....no wait....it missed by a 6 inches or so and now its down the slope on the back....kinda crazy in my mind....got to give it to the guys that were able to maybe run it up and keep it on....anything that hits the green in the air on some of these shots has no chance....”fringe” must now be a no no for some freakin reason.....what used to be the fringe is like cut shorter then the greens...
