I could puke for them seriouslyTough to not feel bad for the owners and trainer who've never won it. Such a tough beat.

You're going to get some that say yes and some that say no. I've been a racing fan for 20 yrs.I'll ask those that know the sport better than me- was the dq the right call?
Nor at Garden State. Not once - and I went there weekly. This is absurd.Don't think I ever saw a jock's objection changing the outcome at Hollywood Park. Stewards inquiry many times but not a jock's objection.
Assumed they were booing the gov of Kentucky?Fans were booing winners circle.
Tbh....these decisions go like catches in the NFL sometimes. You just don't how what they're gonna doI'll ask those that know the sport better than me- was the dq the right call?
nope, awful call.I'll ask those that know the sport better than me- was the dq the right call?
I thought the objection was from the 20.Anyone know which jockey filed the objection?
Tough call especially given weather but he did move across several lanes.
I’m biased because I had $ on the 7 but in those conditions and that size field I would have let them playI'll ask those that know the sport better than me- was the dq the right call?
the dude who won filed the objectionAnyone know which jockey filed the objection?
Tough call especially given weather but he did move across several lanes.
It was the rider of the 1. That’s what makes it worse IMOAnyone know which jockey filed the objection?

Best post in this thread so far.Assumed they were booing the gov of Kentucky?
the owner of #20 looked sick when they interviewed him. Could tell he didn't want to win that way.It was the rider of the 1. That’s what makes it worse IMO
Might be a good day for a trash collector. Can't wait to hear about the guy who had a winning ticket country house he threw out minutes after the race.
If that race is not the derby I think they make the same dq call. Of course the derby is only race with 20 horses. Tough call and I sure as #### wouldn’t want to be steward there.I’m biased because I had $ on the 7 but in those conditions and that size field I would have let them play
If it was rider of 1 I have less of problem. If new winner objected that is a BS. That horse was barely impacted. It was the rider of the 1. That’s what makes it worse IMO
naw. they can go on the interview circuit now. nobody cared about the Stewards until today. This is their moment to shine. If that race is not the derby I think they make the same dq call. It was. I'd like to here from 1s jockI thought the objection was from the 20.
1 objected not 20 that’s why 7 was placed 8th instead of 2ndIt was. I'd like to here from 1s jock
I think it’s going to do the opposite and drive people away. The Belmont, in all likelihood, just became irrelevant for this year. I was likely going to host a Preakness party, but am second guessing as of now.nope, awful call.
Half think that they want controversy to get people into horse racing....
its a joke
It will make headlines but won’t attract any fringe fans. Degenerates like me will complain but we’ll move on, so I doubt it moves the needle for viewershipI think it’s going to do the opposite and drive people away. Hmm, I was pretty sure flavien (20) objected but I been drinking all day so maybe not1 objected not 20 that’s why 7 was placed 8th instead of 2nd
Chart shows winner dropped to 17th, behind the 18 horse.Hmm, I was pretty sure flavien (20) objected but I been drinking all day so maybe not
Yeah they moved even further backChart shows winner dropped to 17th, behind the 18 horse.

True, and that's why he was placed behind the 18.Should have been #18 that objected. His horse was running in that five-wide melee in front and when #7 took his right hand turn #18 got pinched between the #1 and the #20. Ended up dropping like 10 spots after he basically stopped his horse.
Glad somebody won todayi want to thank Dan Lambskin. His tips on early races gave me a free roll..and then some on derby bets. Lost my derby bets but still came out on top overall.
GB you Mr Lamb.
Jesus xxxx, I read this and momentarily got the 7 confused with the 11 because of you know the convenience store and almost had a heart attack.
BS! I saw the blonde woman reviewing the tape and knew I was screwed. You don’t make that call. That’s like calling pass interference on a hail marry. The # 7 would have won in any scenario not involving a BS call.I applaud the steward. Takes balls of steel to make that call on the highest stage. To make the right call. That was a reckless maneuver that not only enabled a victory but was inches from creating a tragedy
Not so sure. This is worse than boxing. That call cost millions to betters all going to the house. It will make headlines but won’t attract any fringe fans. Degenerates like me will complain but we’ll move on, so I doubt it moves the needle for viewership
Wrong. That’s like a review calling PI on the Rams in NFCC.BS! I saw the blonde woman reviewing the tape and knew I was screwed. You don’t make that call. That’s like calling pass interference on a hail marry. The # 7 would have won in any scenario not involving a BS call.
I’m not sure you understand how parimutuel wagering worksNot so sure. This is worse than boxing. That call cost millions to betters all going to the house.
Unlike the Rams the #20 had no chance. Let’s not use review to punish winners.Wrong. That’s like a review calling PI on the Rams in NFCC.
I know. It’s still BS. Lots of once (or 3 times) a year betters were on the favorite. How many were on #20? ####ty result for the sport.I’m not sure you understand how parimutuel wagering works
I didn’t care for the result either, but the house won the same amount either way, or at least the legit outs did. Mileage may have varieties for Offshore books.I know. It’s still BS. Lots of once (or 3 times) a year betters were on the favorite. How many were on #20? ####ty result for the sport.
offshore books had to make a killing on the DQ.I didn’t care for the result either, but the house won the same amount either way, or at least the legit outs did. Mileage may have varieties for Offshore books.
Everyone taking futures right?offshore books had to make a killing on the DQ.
yup. pretty much. tons of people probably had big futures bets on MAX. country not so much, or if they did tiny onesEveryone taking futures right?
