So Tyrod Taylor. Anything to see there? I know some people who are quite high on him. Say he's very athletic but also throws a real nice ball. Only knock on him was that he's smaller.

I'm pleased that we now have at least one QB on our roster who has not yet developed a record of proven mediocrity or worse on the field. So Tyrod Taylor. Anything to see there? I know some people who are quite high on him. Say he's very athletic but also throws a real nice ball. Only knock on him was that he's smaller.
That's far from the only knock on him, but the more lottery tickets they get at the position, the better. So Tyrod Taylor. Anything to see there? I know some people who are quite high on him. Say he's very athletic but also throws a real nice ball. Only knock on him was that he's smaller.
The NFL.com draft profile says that he has erratic accuracy, makes too many questionable decisions, and may have problems reading defenses. So basically a shorter EJ Manuel. That's far from the only knock on him, but the more lottery tickets they get at the position, the better. So Tyrod Taylor. Anything to see there? Do the Bills have any more Ducks or Sooners to offer?Eagles trying to trade Evan Mathis apparently. I wonder if he could be had cheap. Cap hit isn't crazy. He'll look real good next to Glenn on the left side.
I think McCoy is a much more special RB than Murray. Yeah, Murray had a great year last year, but that O-line was responsible for a huge portion of that. He also has a major injury history that needs to be taken into account. Last year was the first year he managed to stay healthy all year and he has not only had more touches than McCoy over the last 3 years, he's older as well.So maybe the Bills could've signed Murray for the same money as McCoy and kept Alonso. Or, even better, spend those millions of dollars on a more important position.
OK that's my last whine on the subject.
Was there really that much of a dfference in the OLs?I think McCoy is a much more special RB than Murray. My bet is that last year was the anomaly for both RBs and that the Bills bought low on McCoy and the Eagles bought high on Murray.

Nathan Jahnke @PFF_NateJahnke 3m3 minutes agoHuh? McCoy has more touches in the last 3 years than Murray, and while Murray is a whopping 5 months older, he has been in the league for 2 fewer years.I think McCoy is a much more special RB than Murray. This isn't the end of the world. They can still get good value with Gresham or Cameron if it comes to that.Ugh, now Miami is negotiating a long term extension with Clay.
Having watched a large number of Eagles games last year, I think PFF is way off on their offensive line rankings and numbers. They were not very good all year. Was there really that much of a dfference in the OLs?I think McCoy is a much more special RB than Murray. In 2014 DeMarco Murray and LeSean McCoy both had 2.15 yards before contact/attempt. Murray averaged 2.53 after contact while McCoy just 2.06
This. Not too concerned about missing out on Clay. This isn't the end of the world. They can still get good value with Gresham or Cameron if it comes to that.Ugh, now Miami is negotiating a long term extension with Clay.
Agreed. I really wasn't digging the rumored $7-8M a year for Charles Clay. $3-4M maybe, but not $7-8M.This. Not too concerned about missing out on Clay. This isn't the end of the world. The Bills wanted Fasano in addition to Clay.Agreed. I really wasn't digging the rumored $7-8M a year for Charles Clay. $3-4M maybe, but not $7-8M.This. Rumor seems to be that they are interested in Fasano now.
Seems to me they're valuing blocking over pass catching for their TE.

His tender would pay him $7M this year- $3-$4M was never on anyone's radar.GroveDiesel said:Agreed. I agree. Not only has this Bills offseason been crazy, but the entire NFL offseason has been as well.
This has been one of the weirdest free agency periods ever.
Yup. Totally insane offseason. If you're a Bills fan or Eagles fan, your head has been spinning for a week now.

I believe one of the beat writers reported that yesterday.GroveDiesel said:That seemed like pure speculation to me.OC Zed said:The Bills wanted Fasano in addition to Clay.GroveDiesel said:Agreed. he's a fan of The League?
I'm not sure the Dolphins signed who they think they signed:

How does your official Twitter account screw up a major FA signing's name?!
Oof.I can't even imagine how awful Browns fans feel right now. Their big moves have been Josh McCown, Brian Hartline, and Thad Lewis.
I'm not sure how Harvin is supposed to fit our offense either, other than as a gadget/return guy. I'd rather have Woods at #2.Where would Harvin fit in? He doesn't want to be a gadget player and focus on WR. He's obviously not close to Sammy, but would he overtake Woods as number 2? Slide into slot as number 3?
He or Woods could be a slot receiver. Either way I like it.I'm not sure how Harvin is supposed to fit our offense either, other than as a gadget/return guy. He's guaranteed to catch at least one game-winning TD against us next year. You can write the script now.So the Bills don't want Chandler but the Pats do.
Yup. When the Pats acquire a player from a former AFC East team, you can be sure that other team screwed up.He's guaranteed to catch at least one game-winning TD against us next year. You can write the script now.So the Bills don't want Chandler but the Pats do.
Yes. You're very perceptive. I'd still be happier in a hypothetical scenario if they signed a good OG rather than Harvin. The point being he's a rather superfluous signing. It's not either/or. They already chose to spend big on RB and pass on Iupati/Franklin/Boling. A 1yr Harvin deal has nothing to do w/ that.
I agree the money would have been better spent on Barksdale, Wisniewski, or Blalock. RT or Guard are needs imo. Kouandjio may be moved to guard plus I think it's more likely they choose a Guard at pick 50.Yes. You're very perceptive. Happier now?
