2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (2 Viewers)

Awesome finish in Vermillion as South Dakota beats instate rival SDSU on a 57 yard Hail Mary on the last play of the game. Coyotes snapped the ball with one second left, down 17-20.

Small rumor online circulating that Jack Coan might be out tonight for ND with an undisclosed injury. If so, really curious to see how Kelly/Rees manage Buchner vs. Pyne. Pyne was outstanding in relief of Coan vs. Wisconsin earlier in the year, but hasn't been seen since. Buchner is the future, but this could be the changing of the guard moment.

ND, while I think this would be bad for them and still is very highly unlikely, still has a very outside shot at the playoffs this year with some of the assured destruction for others in the coming weeks and ND with a soft schedule the rest of the way.

Texas is a 30.5 point favorite. I’ve been telling local friends the farm bet was on Kansas to cover. Hilarious how defiant they were then and how equally silent they are now.

Nothing in my being likes Ole Miss, but I raised my kids in this God-tolerated locale, and thusly my son is a huge Ole Miss fan. By the trasitive property of WTF, I kind of cheer for them now.  Wish Katy Perry had been there this morning to justify my feelings.

5-7 with a win over Miami and Florida…a decent end to the year and a positive step…the uniqueness of College Football!
Watched the end of it from my seats at the Bolts game. Bunch of people crowding around behind me lol

This is a Longhorns team that has no answers. For Kansas. Given the amount of money spent, the only explanation is incompetence.

Sark was awful at UW. Then he failed again at USC. People assumed two years as an assistant under Saban would undo 7 years of previous poor head coaching? LOL.

Its going to get really expensive really fast for Texas to undo this mess.

I mean people like to joke about Jimbo's contract but they've already paid out Jimbo's full contract since firing Mack.  And then some.  There is at some point an upper limit to what boosters will cough up.

Ole Miss had 400 yards offense in the 1st half, and 40 yards offense thru 20 min of the 2nd half…not sure I’ve ever seen that.

But why?

I know Mississippi is not a dream destination, but neither is Tuscaloosa, AL.   I assume Ole Miss can match money.  Seems to me that The Grove represents a cushy job in the heart of a recruiting hotbed.
Ya with Florida comes unrealistic pressure too. Seems like he has it made at Oxford. Guy has coached in the nfl, UT and USC, he certainly doesn’t have to job chase now.
