2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (2 Viewers)

ouch

@ESPNRittenberg: Hawai'i defensive back Michael Graham is in the transfer portal. He's the son of Hawai'i coach Todd Graham and the brother of offensive coordinator Bo Graham.

There's been mutiny on that ship for awhile now.  It's all Todd Graham.  I read a couple of articles about it after their season with multiple players talking about how toxic the culture is there, how Graham has taken the fun out of the game, how he leads by fear/intimidation, stuff like that.  Players were going through the motions, quitting or transferring, etc.

There were multiple accounts and it wasn't just one writer that was coming out with it -- that's why I even bothered to read more, the whole thing was interesting.  Todd Graham has got to be gone, somehow, maybe Hawaii can't afford the firing or is digging for cause, first, I don't know.

That stadium was condemned, not even sure where they're playing or what the plans are.  Too bad, always thought Hawaii was / would be a cool place to play and to have a good program, but they are as low as it gets right now.  Their late Saturday games were fun to watch (and bet) back in the day at like midnight.

Sucks, because Hawaiians LOVE football and many are damn good at it.

That’s a nice momentum builder going into next year though. The extra practices are huge. Everyone at OU loves Beamer, I’m glad Rattler and Stogner ended up there and hope Beamer has a lot of success. I think he’s going to be a good one.
Not to mention that we battle for plenty of recruits with UNC on a yearly basis and a win over them can't hurt in that area.

This kid has no chance of kicking this FG

He would've if the Vols had any decent play-calling at the end there.  The horse-collar made it EASY to get into FG range, and they were running easily on a gassed D.  Just horrible play-calling. Had all 3 TO's to call anything in the middle too.  Run, crossing pattern, draw, etc.

But no, let's go DEEP, not once, but TWICE, and try a kick we have no chance at making.  How ####### dumb can you be?

I used to love Bowl games - especially under the old Bowl tie-in system before playoffs and before BCS.  Now, with bowl games starting mid December and running through mid January, its just so watered down I really don't care. There is no meaning anymore to the concept of the Rose, Cotton, Sugar and Orange - the four crown jewels of New Year's Day.  Keith Jackson is dead and Brent Mussberger is long gone when it comes to Jan 1. I'm a dusty old fart, and the magic of these games is completely gone for me.

Sorry you can't enjoy the stupid splendor of the Music City Bowl

Yeah that was bad. One of the orange Reids was super pissed on the sidelines.

after there fans threw crap all over the field during the regular season the weight of karma just landed on tennesee take that to the sec bank brohans

Refs ruined the end to that game. Sad

And Stinkin Ref will be in here shortly to claim how you have no idea what you're talking about, how difficult the job is, all the training involved (up there with Phd's), and on and on...because mistakes aren't possible at that level and when they do happen, you would've done much worse.

There are all kinds of idiots, and biased and crooked as well, in that business.

Some of those kids will never play another down again.  Played their hearts out for 4 hours (and months for that matter, at least).  Only to have some D-bag not only blow his whistle for no reason (hello REPLAY) and to also claim forward progress was stopped, while right on the goal line (HELLO AGAIN, REPLAY), is just awful and inexcusable.

These guys should be fired or sent down or held way more accountable than they are.  What a joke.

And NO, I had no money or rooting interest here, just hate seeing inept, biased old men decide games.

What struck me most on the final play is how far away 10 of the 11 defensive players were from the ball carrier on the goal line.
