I thought the announcer was jinxing the kicker.
The way this game has gone, I would kick the kickoff ball out of bounce.

OSU fg to win would be nice for a variety of reasons for this CFB fan.
@wilnerhotline: Pac-12 finishes 0-5 in bowl games (plus UCLA cancellation) and has not won a bowl game since the 2019 season

Hope that kid, with that attitude, balls out tonight. Heck of a leader.
And a first round QB in April at that. Hope he is okay for CombineNever good when the starting QB goes down.
Looks like Kiffin realized he needs to play smash mouth with backup QB
The fan in me would like to agree with Herby but reality is, the upper tier guys need to protect their futures. I love it when a guy chooses to play but don’t blame him for sitting out a bowl game.ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit criticized players who opt out of bowl games to prep for the NFL draft and thinks "this era of player just doesn't love football.” All but 1 of this year’s bowl games is an ESPN production. It has a vested interest in stars playing.

Then you have not seen much Ohio State football this year...Ohio State`s defense is a hot mess! Was shocked at how Utes went up and down the field on them until their QB got hurt.

Need some updates from @Capella cousin.
I'm very perceptive. I always know when somebody is uncomfortable at a party.
Just jumping back in here for this. My new favorite thing, the crazy cousin. Might eclipse the genius subtitles.

Have you guys heard why Baylor discourages their students from having premarital sex?
It might lead to dancing.
Also according to Reddit you can't wear 69 as a player there
He is on morning radio locally here in Birmingham, he's really good there too.I will say again: McElroy is a money analyst. Really a bummer he's saddled with fake-enthusiasm-Tessitore as his pbp guy.
I wish it were earlier in the season so I can keep ya filled in. He has takes all year. I’ll keep updating as he goes along.

I actually pretty much agree with Herbstreit.
If you're so concerned about your NFL future, there are two options:
1. You need to play well against a good team to bump your stock
2. You probably should opt out after like 4 or 5 games so there's tape out there and then you're protected
And you can get insurance if you're actually a guy who's pretty locked in to a high pick.
The real answer is to pay them. The NIL deals for now I think technically don't allow paying based on performance, but I wonder if "per game played" would get around it somehow.
People making ridiculous amounts of money off of these kids are always the loudest complaining when they make an actual business decision for themselves.ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit criticized players who opt out of bowl games to prep for the NFL draft and thinks "this era of player just doesn't love football.” All but 1 of this year’s bowl games is an ESPN production. Likely first-round quarterback senior Matt Corral for Ole Miss is getting carted off the field with a major injury in the Sugar Bowl this is why a lot of players opt out of these bowl games.
Easy to say, but I don't think it's the reality. If you're a projected 1-10 pick scheduled to play in a non-playoff bowl, the GM would probably advise you not to play.If I were a GM setting up my draft board, I think I might consider which players chose to literally quit on their team.
Jamar Chase and Jevon Holland as well. CMC and Deebo both skipped bowl games too just off the top of my head.WDIK2 said:Easy to say, but I don't think it's the reality. I don't think the Dallas Cowboys are regretting picking Micah Parsons after he sat out a whole season.
Then you’d be out of a job pretty quick. If I were a GM setting up my draft board, I think I might consider which players chose to literally quit on their team.
Just for thinking about maybe considering? Tough business to be in I guess. Then you’d be out of a job pretty quick.
Why? He's parroting non-sense that should have been out of fashion years and years ago. I agree with your larger point though.I actually pretty much agree with Herbstreit.
If I were a GM setting up my draft board, I think I might consider which players chose to take on such unnecessary risks (injury, loss of money) for absolutely nothing (a non-playoff bowl game). If I were a GM setting up my draft board, I think I might consider which players chose to literally quit on their team.
At least your team would have correctly selected Chris Chambers and TJ Watt when available.if i were a GM i'd only draft guys who played at Wisconsin. but only if they also grew up in Wisconsin. and also only in the 1st round. i'd trade all my picks to get more 1st round picks so i could draft Wisconsin guys and pay them big money. because they're good guys and they deserve it for being loyal to Wisconsin.
and also i'd only be GM of the Packers.
