2021 New York football Giants (4 Viewers)

yeah, Toney looks like he will be out a bit also.    Very little to be excited about this team.

edit: i couldn't even pick a player that I'd spend $ on a jersey.
I think they should bring up Isaiah Wilson and throw hime into the fire at RT. What have they got to lose ? Solder sux and none of the other Tackles on the roster other than Peart have potential or a future.

Saints just signed Forrest Lamp to their practice Squad ...

I can't believe the Giants didn't sign him but have guys like Wes Martin and Korey Cunningham on their active roster ... Unbelievable how dumb Gettlepuke is !!!!!

Cunningham was in there in the 4th when the game was well past an L, with DJ still in.       it was surprising to me that Judge kept Jones in there.

With the fit he had about Philly pulling their starters in week 17 last season, I don't think Judge would ever pull his.

i know.   with that offensive line that was playing in the 4th.  and that receiving group that was left.   you still want Jones in there?
Honestly yeah, kinda. That's likely a lot of the group he'll be playing with this week, unless Barkley or Slayton are back. He may as well get some time with them, the Rams had their defensive backups in there, so might as well get some useable reps.

fair enough.  i mean we are looking at 1-8 at the bye.    might as well leave them all in.

I've had a couple of concussions and both were serious where I was wobbly like Jones afterwards, maybe worse for me since I was knocked out on one of them.  No way was I ready to go about my normal activities without issues after just one week.  Not even after a couple of weeks.  I think bringing Jones back so quickly was idiotic and I agree with some of you guys - keeping him in behind a practice squad quality o-line is setting him up for more injuries.  I would rather sit him at least one game and let him rest.  Those o-line players aren't long term starters but we still need Jones to develop into one.  I don't think it will help his development by leaving him in when he clearly isn't right yet.

Quite frankly, I'm done with the front office and coaches for this team.  I would like total changes after this season.

I think you are going to get that ... This has been a complete disaster!

TE Evan Engram (calf) did not practice Thursday.

Also WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and CB Sam Beal (hamstring) were new additions to the injury report. They were limited.

My brother, who is a huge Giants fan, was apoplectic that they left Jones in behind a patchwork line after his concussion the week before. Just livid.

Wants the whole show gone. Just to move on and start over fresh.

I was a little surprised Jones even played last week. I have to admit that I tuned out and started focusing more on the redzone channel in the 2nd half so I didn't really notice that Jones was still in the game late.  They should have taken him out though.

Friday injury report.    ugh

RB Saquon Barkley (ankle – out)
WR Kenny Golladay (knee – out)
WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring – questionable)
WR Kadarius Toney (ankle – out)
WR Darius Slayton (hamstring – questionable)
WR John Ross (hamstring – questionable)
TE Evan Engram (calf – questionable)
TE Kaden Smith (knee – probable)
OG Ben Bredeson (hand – probable)
NT Danny Shelton (pectoral – doubtful)
CB Sam Beal (hamstring – probable)

Just a few days after the team signed him to their practice squad, the #Giants are elevating veteran LB Benardrick McKinney to their game day roster and he’ll play Sunday, source said. LB Tae Crowder (thigh) was just added to injury report.

I would like to see a stat that shows which teams had the most injuries over the past “x” amount of years and I would be floored if the giants did not have the most by a wide margin. It’s incredible. Every year.

Top WRs are Darius Slayton, John Ross III, Dante Pettis, and Colin Johnson.

oh, and PRO BOWLER Evan Engram a.k.a Droppy McButterfingers.

Go get em, Danny!

He did! Jones is reall good ! Thomas down , Saquan down,  Peart went down mid game, no running game ... Jones was great today.

Imagine if Jones had Thomas at LT, Saquan, Galloway, Yung Joka, Shep, and Slayton ??? C'mon they get healthy and jones is putting up 300 yds per week with 2-3 tds

I gotta admit, it sure is fun to root against the Bears each week.

edit: the panthers looked bad but we haven't won a home game by 22+ since 2012.

Defense finally played well. They got a little help from the Panthers WR’s with all their drops but the defense showed up with 6 sacks, 1 turnover and the safety also held the Panthers to just 3 points.

I'm so glad Gettleman negotiated against himself in order to sign an injured player to a contract that wasn't remotely close to what any other team was offering him.  I like Golladay as a player, but it was never considered a good signing.

He absolutely was a good signing as the best WR on the market. The Giants just overpaid for some mysterious reason.

I don't mind that they signed him in general, but as I said, the contract and the negotiation process were embarrassingly bad.  I'll be surprised if he plays out the contract.  He's not at all worth that much money.

Oh I think he absolutely was worth the contract if the market was bullish on WRs like we all expected. Once the WR market cratered, Giants had a great chance to sign in for like 13-14 million (the "awww we're nice" offer was like 15 maybe) and Giants ... well Gettleman gonna Gettleman. The bigger issue is Daniel Jones completely ignoring him because he doesn't like throwing in the tight contested windows that Golladay thrives in. Instead of a Diggs-Allen situation where the WR carries the QB forward with his play, you have the reverse with the QB dragging down the WR because he hasn't progressed as a QB enough.

Not what i've seen or read regarding DJ. Jones has progressed very well ... He's had one bad game this season in which he probably shouldn't have been playing with a concussion and lost his LT and only WR in the the 1st quarter. Jones has actually carried this team so far this season and we would be 4-3 if it werent for the defense.  An offside and dropped INT cost them 2 games

Golladay did not play well at all the first couple of games after missing most of preseason and then got injured. On top of that the Giants redzone offense is offensive.

Despite that Golladay was still on pace for about 68 receptions and 1128 yards when he got injured ... both would be just under his career bests  ...70 (2018) and 1190 (2019)

As expected the Giants ruled out RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), WR Kenny Golladay (knee), LB Lorenzo Carter (ankle), LB Carter Coughlin (ankle) and S Nate Ebner (ankle).

WR Kadarius Toney (ankle), WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and TE Kaden Smith (knee) are questionable.

Expect Toney and Shepard to play. Concern with them is finishing the game. Toney left the game two weeks ago after re-aggravating his ankle. Smith is one to keep an eye on, wasn’t at practice today.

He's gotten a little better since the TNF game, but it's a little deceptive because Giants are using Golladay on shorter routes where he's actually getting more separation than he tends to get. You watch Stafford throw balls to Golladay and it's night and day, but then again it's Matt Stafford vs. Daniel Jones here.

Bears lose :pickle:
Bears only have 2-3 potential wins on their remaining schedule Lions, Giants, 1 of 2 vs Vikings

Pretty sure loses = Steelers, Ravens, Cardinals, Packers and Seahawks

So mark your calenders for January 2nd. Giants @ Bears. Our future will be at stake ( If Gettleman gets fired)

####ed again by untimely questionable ref calls ... same #### that happened vs WTF!

Just because a player moves doesn't make him offsides ... Ball was moving,  WR to his left was moving ... If it's that close and it doesnt impact the play ...  dont call it.  Facemask call was BS, Taunting call on Penny BS,  Crowder gets his helmet ripped off of his head and gets called for a personal foul.    Cmon cut the #### refs and stop taking the game away from the players !

Giants should trade out of their High this year, punt them to 2022 and give judge and jones more year.  And then we can really wash our hands of all this lot.  Their ceiling is mediocrity.  Get rid of all of them

Tankathon has the giants currently holding the #5 and #11 picks.     Eagles at #3, #8, #9.
In addition to  1.05 & 1.11, the NYGs also have 2.06, 3.03 (from MIA) and 3.05. That's enough to get Watson. Do you throw in Jones?
