ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky calls BS on Giants’ Joe Judge’s ‘Timmy Tough Nuts style’

https://www.nj.com/giants/2022/01/espns-dan-orlovsky-calls-bs-on-giants-joe-judges-timmy-tough-nuts-style.html

Judge is an embarrassment !!! As bad as Gettleman has been (and he has been real bad) Giants are underperforming given the talent that they have !!! The Lions, The Texans, The Jets and Jacksonville are much more competitive than the Giants!!!

They are easily the worst team in the NFL right now and they shouldnt be !!!

I really hope the Giants change their minds about keeping Judge because he is as much a problem as anyone else in this organization

The #Giants have released OT Isaiah Wilson, the former #Titans first-round pick, from the practice squad.

I've seen some bad Giants teams in my time,I'm old enough to have seen Fran Tarkenton in a Giants uniform.

This is the worst team I have ever witnessed.

Tear it down.
You go back a little further than me ... my early Giants years were middish 70s.

I agree 100% this is the worst Giants team that I can remeber.

The sad part is ...It's far from the least talented Giants team that I have ever seen

TE Chris Myarick waived.

god forbid the team has a TE that can get in the end zone.    Tim McDonell's (mara's family) bestie Kyle Rudolph got a nice contract for nothing...........

Perhaps the most damning part from the article

Worse still, because of Gettleman’s frequent restructuring of lucrative contracts — in order to create short-term salary cap space — the Giants are in cap hell, with about $2 million to spare for 2022, according to overthecap.com’s estimate.

“For you to be in this situation where you do not have cap and your team is this bad and you had all those high draft picks, it just signals how badly you constructed this roster,” said Brad Spielberger, PFF’s salary cap analyst. “You don’t have talent still — and you have these really expensive players. It’s not a good situation to be in.”

Just in case anyone is wondering if Judge has lost the lockerroom

Devontae Booker on Joe Judge’s postgame rant: "To be honest I didn’t hear it. I know some players were talking about it today. I didn’t bother honing in on it to see what he had to say.” #Giants

we don't have guy's throwing punches at each other.     but maybe we should.    judge could be the 1st 13 loss coach in our history.

1) we need football people not family     john mara getting heckled by a fan in the last game of the year.

2) glazer said judge wasn't safe.

3) Solder will earn $1mm incentive for hard to believe reason.   link

"Although it may be extremely hard to believe, Solder will earn a $1 million incentive due in equal parts to playing time and offensive line improvement, reports Dan Duggan of The Athletic......

If that’s not the most 2021 Giants thing ever, we don’t know what is.

The offensive line has been horrendous but somehow was just good enough in one area that it earned Solder an extra $1 million the cash-strapped Giants didn’t really have to part with."

Kevin Abrams, our cap guy and the GM John Mara wants,  lol.

@DDuggan21

Dave Gettleman just walked past a group of reporters on his way to the locker room. Gettleman didn’t break stride when asked if he had anything to say.

Kenny Golladay not endearing himself to Giant fans with his T-rex arms and his going out of bounds instead of going for the extra 2-3 years (glad the announcer pointed this out).

I hope the Giants don't trade the farm for a QB.  I don't care who the QB is, he won't go anywhere with this O-line.  Use the picks and get 2 O-lineman and an edge rusher.

Schwartz: growing sense NYG moving on from Judge

"General manager Dave Gettleman will announce his retirement Monday, ending his failed four-year run. And then comes the big decision looming over the entire organization:

Does Judge stay or go? There is a growing sense the Giants will move on from him.

Around Christmas, Giants ownership was feeling good about bringing Judge back for a third year. The one caveat: The team could not devolve into a laughingstock down the stretch of the season. Since then, nothing has gone right for Judge, as his team lost its last six games by a combined score of 163-56 to close out a 4-13 season by often not putting a competitive product on the field...."

i'd fire the guy over that double QB sneak, that was p*ssy football. sorry if I offend anyone.    not a guy i want coaching this team.

Everyone, including Abrams, has to go.  Abrams is one of the main culprits for the team being in cap hell.

there are so many holes in this team it's surprising.     i legitimately think a random poster could have done a better roster.

if this clown show drafts qb this year, oof.    a 4-13 team with no cap space.    what more do the results say then goodbye all involved.

My buddy called me after the game and that was the first thing we discussed.  The first one was forgivable in that it was at the one yard line (even though they have nothing to lose).  The second one was just a poor decision.  A week ago he is saying how the team is developing and they are not giving up.  You don't quarterback sneak a second time if you are trying to show you are supportive of positive team chemistry.  You're 100% right though - although why did you put the "*" in possy.  LOL

Dolphins fired Flores ... Giants should be all over that !!!

Dolphins were a great coached team from what I could see ... They did a whole lot more than the Giants with a hole lot less talent

Mike Gesicki, is set to become an unrestricted free agent so Flores can bring him along

Steve Tisch in announcement of Gettleman's retirement: "It is an understatement to say John and I are disappointed by the lack of success we have had on the field. We are united in commitment to find a GM who will provide the direction necessary for us to achieve the on-field performance and results we all expect."

Mara just has no clue.  He doesn't do anything right, even fan appreciation day which should be as simple as it gets.  Mara even turned that into a joke by offering that free medium soda to show how much he "appreciates" the fans.

I appreciate you...but not THAT much.

Daniel Jones has to go before I give up on Judge, but Judge has only one year of 'goodwill' left. There are FAR MORE pressing concerns at GM/Front Office than the coach.

Giants Wire - Giants expected to interview these six GM candidates

I'd LOVE to see the Giants tab Louis Riddick as the new GM. Dude isn't a Yes man and would tear down the FO.
Disagree with that ... I dont know how anyone could say that Judge isnt a problem. This team has gotten progressively worse to the point that they are easily the worst team in the NFL ... Jets, Jags, Texans and Lions would very likely beat the Giants by double digits if they played right now.

Jones under Shurmer as a rookie was on a per 16 game pace of 4000 yds 32 TD 16 INT ... under Judge 3437 yds 13 TD 11 Int

Sounds hard to believe but you can make a very strong argument that Judge has had better Oline talent than Shurmer had when Jones and Saquan were putting up epic rookie numbers.

Judge has unquestionably had more Defensive talent than Shurmer had to work with.

To the next GM of the Giants, whomever you may be.

The offensive line is the biggest problem on this team, you have two very high 1st round picks and very little (if any) salary cap room for free agency. Address the offensive line before you even THINK about other positions.

I appreciate you...but not THAT much.
The biggest cut of all was the free medium soda was just for the account holder for the tickets and not every ticket. So if you owned four season tickets, you got one free medium soda, if you owned eight season tickets, you got one free medium soda.

Reminds me of the line from trading places when the Dukes give their butler his Christmas bonus: "Five dollars....maybe I will go to the movies....by myself"

Looks like the Giants are finally casting a wide net. I haven't looked into the background for all these guys but I do know that Wilson is a fellow NC State alum so I guess I'll root for him.

I really hope whoever they hire can fix this mess

if i recall we interviewed 4 people and ended with gettleman.      i was actually surprised to see how Wilson had advanced so quickly, seems like he was just on the field.       my guess is judge stays 1 year, even though i think he should be gone.   daniel jones has 1 year before the option, think he is gone after that.   DJ/JJ prove it or lose it and the next GM get's his coach and qb in 2023.

edit: 5 picks in the top 80.    they need to nail this draft.

Judge has been let go
Good ... he was a disaster and the only reason he even made it this far is because he is an incredibly good bull ####ter.

I think he actually had us all fooled !! I know I was fooled up until about 5-6 weeks!!

INCREDIBLY Good talker and bull####ter ... hard to believe how bad and unproductive he was as a coach !!!

Better late than never, but I wonder what changed from yesterday.
the giant way...give the worst GM we've had a retirement day.

edit: no link but hearing Schoen wouldn't even take an interview if judge was still there.      think that's who they want.
