2021 PGA Tour - (1 Viewer)

Fowler going to miss the cut unless it moves back this afternoon because he whiffed on a 5 inch putt and tapped the ball.

Familiar story...JT comes out hot...course looks gettable. Tiger looks loose.

I enjoyed Phil in the booth, he and Faldo don’t seem to get along :lmao:
I kept thinking, as Phil kept talking and Nick did not, that Nick is dammed lucky Phil still wants to play.  Otherwise Faldo would be doing ESPN+ commentary next year and Phil would be clinking champagne glasses with Nantz every weekend.  He's the Romo of PGA.

Nick was well aware of that, at the last shot just before Phil left.  Was obvious.  "This effer is coming for my job!"

I'm sure you're right, but to be fair he mostly commented on the guys playing, gave honest commentary on their games, and rooted for them.

He also tried to predict makes/good shots and was wrong, which was fun. :D
I didn't hear it, but believe he could be good. I still don't much care for the guy but admit he can be mildly amusing with his hitting bombs, calves, and coffee is for wellness schtick.

This leaderboard is crazy

Tomorrow going to be nuts.
It’s been great so far. Looking at the top 12 (-6 or better), 4-5 young guys playing well, seasoned guys - Day, DJ, Rose - looking for their second, smug Koepka looming. Casey might not ever get another chance this good. There’s like 10-11 great stories in there. Except Bryson, sheesh, please, no mas.

Brooks said the thing we’re all thinking out loud.

“I like my chances. When I've been in this position before, I've capitalized. I don't know, he's only won one.”

Feel bad for Li. He was handling it very well, then the trees ate his ball. I’ve done that (palm instead of cypress), it’s like hitw does that happen.

Pulling for Finau & Morikawa today but should be entertaining regardless.

I think there are others who don't care for Phil's all about Phil routine.
I think it would be like Bill Murray at Pebble.  Entertaining for one week but the shtick will get old on a weekly basis.

Like putting googly eyes on your stapler.

Most Consecutive Seasons w/ PGA Tour Win
17 Jack Nicklaus 1962-78

17 Arnold Palmer 1955-71

16 Billy Casper 1956-71

14 Lee Trevino 1968-81

14 Tiger Woods 1996-2009

13 Dustin Johnson 2008-20

10 Phil Mickelson 2004-13

(even more bonkers - Jack won at least two 17 straight seasons. Tiger’s longest streak was 5 [twice.])

Morikawa snuck up into the 2nd to last group...good experience for the you g stud, although he avoids DJ and Koepka.

Wolff is going to post a score that the leaders will have to win it on the back...perfect set up.
