this is the most odd and weakest comeback I think I have ever heard after someone has just been burned so badly they could pass for Wile E. Coyote after a TNT encounter.
I figured you knew he was hot pre-injury and loves this course. Point was I think, like DJ at the PGA, he controls his discomfort. I could’ve worded it better originally ;)

Went with Spieth large. Could have had great odds if I bet when I wanted before the Valero but whatever. He’s won several majors. Week before each he was 2nd, 2nd, 3rd. More dangerous than most to repeat good performances coming into a major. And he’s won green jackets so doesn’t have the pressure to do that for a first time like Thomas, DeChambeau, Rahm and others. He’s making birdies from all over the yard and his short game is ridiculous right now. We’ll see....
I expect for Spieth to come out hot the first several rounds as he has the past several tournaments. If he is in the hunt in the final round, it may come down to how he handles #12 again when under pressure.

Yea, i don't think he wins or even finishes top 5...but I'm definitely interested in him in a format i play where we count the days best 4 scores on your team.

Streaming the practice round (ESPN) - GB working from home with my home PC monitor off to the side from the work one

no Par 3 this year :kicksrock:

bummer

one of my favorite parts of the week

used to have a golf simulator (Links 2K3) which had a fairly complicated architect program. guy from Maryland did a magnificent recreation after taking about a thousand pictures during a practice round / par 3 tournament. super fun course.

Like an actual simulator? I remember playing LINKS as a PC game years ago, but I think they also built it to run on the simulators where you actually swing the clubs.

sorry I meant the PC game

but a buddy of mine who also designed 2K3 courses (& a PGA teaching pro) was working on matching up his RL designs to a golf simulator that uses clubs. he was doing some pretty good work doing renderings for Greg Norman’s design group when he was approached by a software developer group. I know it was in beta testing a few years back but I lost track of they ever got it launched.

As said before I went with Spieth big.  Agree with Chamblee that if he can drive it anywhere close to 60% in the fairway he'll be tough to beat.  Only issue is he's been closer to 50% lately.  His iron play, short game and putting have been out of this world good, and he loves Augusta National.

My saver bets are on JT, Patrick Reed, Morikawa and Cantlay.  Those are break even or win a little bit.  If Spieth wins there will be a party at Judge's house.

Picked most of the safe peeps in my 2 leagues. Have shares of JT / Rahm / Cameron Smith / Tony F / Jordan / Scheffler / Paul Casey and longer shots Billy Horschel / Jason Day / Corey Conners

I rarely double up on one guy but Spieth was too much value to pass up the in the format we use.

Always been a fan and hope he does have it all back.

With the amount of Spieth going around out there, not including him might end up a winning strategy.  He'll knock out quite a few in those grouping pools if he lays an egg.

I don't watch a lot of #1...I know it's a tough hole, but combined with Thursday nerves it's looking really tough today.  Hovland learned a lesson.

Garcia (+3 thru 7), Poulter (+5 thru 12), and Westwood (+3 thru 6) were all considered pretty safe sleeper picks.  All good ball strikers, in recent form, with good Masters history.  Not looking so good at the moment.

Pretty cool coverage at masters.com. I like the leaderboard when you focus on a specific player, lots of options to see what's going on.

Also, considering the Masters always gives the worst TV coverage of any tournament there are quite a few free streaming live options.

Had I known his idiot kid replaced his gf on the bag this week I would not have included Westy in any of my pool plays.

Terrible decision.  He's been playing so well with her.   Bring your kid some other year when you're off your game.

So I've been sitting here watching on my chromebook waiting until 3 to watch on my projector.  Completely forgot I have a usbc to hdmi cable :lmao:

Not 100% tv quality but at least giant screen now

Hideki with a nice up n down at 12 and IDKHTF he made birdie from down in that bank at 13, disappointing par at 15 but rock solid so far (playing 17, -4).

Really thought he’d have a major by now. He’s never been close though, his lone runner up was 4 shots back at Erin Hills (Koepka 2016.)

Rose is on quite the run since the 8th.  Eagle, birdie, birdie, par save on 11 from the straw, great tee shot on 12.

ETA:  And he holes the putt on 12.
