2021 Philadelphia Eagles - Queued up a playlist of our greatest zits throughout the season for final game (1 Viewer)

Now remember, the higher numbers are better. I feel good slotting McCarthy at 13 ahead of Reich.

I disagree here. McCarthy is a nobody without Rodgers. Ask any Packers fan out there and they will tell you McCarthy road Rodgers coattails. Without Rodgers McCarthy was exposed constantly. I hope Dal keeps McCarthy for yrs honestly he's that bad of a coach who's been bailed out by some good to great players in his coaching career. He was so bad his last 2 1/2 yrs Rodgers went rogue with the offense and still had success.

Your response is that I’m a troll and supplied nothing factual. You’re Djax on steroids and have the audacity to tag me in a separate thread and say something I never even said? Wow. I knew you were unhinged but this is a new low even for you. You’re officially blocked.

I've had him blocked for awhile now. I'm not surprised. Dude will turn anything into an argument for the sake of making an argument. It's been a lot better for me since I put him on ignore. I'm shocked he actually tagged you because he usually just makes subliminal remarks in another thread mentioning someone without tagging them.

Not at all.  I just called you out for your irrational hate of Parsons, and inability to go 1 day without mentioning Ben Simmons and you didn't like it.  And no, I'll always tag if I bring you up.

Would be interesting to rest Hurts and let Minshew get another chance to shine.

And it would nice to lock it up, because I dont think Dallas is resting anyone next week if it matters to us. Especially after a loss, they'll want to go into the playoffs hyped with a win.

well FWIW once DJax comes in here with his Wentz/Reich love he'll have more posts then both of you combined....

The only few issues with Arians I have is he's definitely an older coach who's stuck in his ways in terms of being innovative. So in that regard I'd take Reich who's more openminded and a bit younger

2- He was 1-2 in the playoffs loosing 2 straight NFCC title games before the run with TB last year going 4-0 and winning. TB really should've lost their game to WFT but the refs handed them the game too.

3. Besides SEA he beat up on a pretty avg NFC West division for yrs and now plays in a questionable NFC South with no Brees and a declining NO, a mediocre CAR and ATL teams.

Is Arians a good coach? Sure in terms of record and all. But I think if you want more open minded coaching and believe in younger coaches Reich is your guy

Assuming GB wins tonight:

- An Eagles win next week has 16 potential outcomes for playoff opponent (depending on what other teams do, too); 14 of them end with us @TB, 1 @LAR, 1 @ARI

- An Eagles loss drops the TB scenarios to 8 (of the 16), 4 @LAR, 2 @ARI, 2 @DAL

Given the fact that the chances are 75% we will play TB, win or loss, I think we rest starters and let the chips fall where they may.

I'd like a rematch with TB now with our running game. Provided Gannon actually tries to get some pressure on Brady.

Always fun to play spoiler against Tommy Boy. Will have to slip in the Philly Special.

Eagles are 2 mins away from going to the playoffs. Who'd have thought that in the preseason.
Not many, including myself. Even Vegas had us at 6.5 wins coming into this season. It’s crazy to me how most thought Dallas would be resting their starters in the final week, and I think it was Noid who introduced it to us that it actually could be us and here we are. So crazy!

So not "Amazing", but "very very good".

Got it.

I know digging up old posts is fun, I imagine we are allowed to change our options on coaches over time slightly? I'm downgrading very very good, to good. But thanks? End of the day, he's had a pretty healthy roster and beaten one legit good team (Bills), was swept by the Titans, and beat some ok teams.  He's a good coach, without question. I dont think he sucks.

I take it back. Saints get in with a win and niners loss. They'd have a better conference record.

Correct, the Eagles game itself doesn't matter at all for their seeding. My "how is this possible" was rhetorical and more about how on earth did this team get to this point after the start they had.

Ya you can definitely change your opinion, but seems like you're doing so only for arguments sake.  The Colts are 6-2 since you called him "very very good" (With 1 close loss to the World Champion Bucs, and today's bad loss).

Beat some "ok" teams?  Bills, Patriots, Cardinals are better than "ok", cmon man.

Is this really that important?

Is this really that important?
No but calling the Bills, Patriots, and Cardinals "just okay" just to try to prove some point is silly.  Look I'm cheering hard against Indy too.  Getting a higher pick for us is more important than "being right" and I hope they lose to the Jags next week.

I just think it's ridiculous to not give Reich credit where it's due.  Bigboy literally went on a tangent about how he's not a top 13 coach in the league and then started saying that he meant "in his career" lol.  I believe the majority of fans would think Reich is a great coach and one of the best in the league.I want Reich to suck, I want Dallas to suck, I want Dak and Parsons to suck, but I can at least admit when they are good/very good/great/amazing/outstanding/whatever you want to call it.

Do the Eagles make the playoffs this year with Doug Pederson?
Nope. We’d still have Press Taylor, Duce, Jason Peters, Alshon god knows who else. We needed a breath of fresh air with a new staff. The schedule assisted too but I can’t see Doug being this flexible like Sirianni and getting this many wins.

but Doug won a super bowl so he's one of the best coaches in the league 🤣

Didn't Arians win coach of the year twice in his career already (at least that's what I'm seeing in Wiki)?  Also, coach of the year in 2018 was Matt Nagy!
Again, talking about who the top coaches in the league are right now.  If you own a team right now, would you pick Frank or Bruce to be your head coach?

Deamon out Djaxing Djax.
Djax will never be out Djax'd.

Again, I mentioned he was a top 5 coach in the league.  THen Bigboy went on a rant about ranking the careers of other coaches and said he was done then came back over and over quoting himself hours later.

I know you're not a Reich fan, but he's a great coach, even if he sucked today.  At least we can all agree that we will cheer against him next week.

Clicking through a ton of different scenarios, it really seems like Dallas or Arizona is unlikely.  Rams could happen, but almost all of the realistic outcomes of those games points to us playing Tampa round 1.  We haven't beaten Tampa in 8 years which doesn't bode well.
But we did beat Brady in the playoffs 4 years ago. But it wasn't a very important game lol.

Deamon out Djaxing Djax.
Yeah, I’m sure at this stage he realizes he made an ### of himself. Who am I kidding? No he doesn’t. People like that just dig deeper. Hell eventually convince himself that I was “switching it up hahahaha troll” even though I :

1. Quoted career stats at LEAST 3-4 times.

2. On that same list I have Tomlin (7-7-1), Payton (8-8), Harbaugh (8-8) and Carroll who is 6-10

Both career stats and those names are in my FIRST post. There’s times here when signals get crossed and points are missed but this is simple math. That’s before you get to the point that the one he went after wasn’t the 6-10 coach I added, but the one that JUST won a SB and is 12-4.

The second ANY person sees those two bullets and doesn’t figure that someone is talking active coaches in their careers they’re idiots. Either the “smart guy” couldn’t figure out 2 plus 2 or the challenged guy couldn’t see that a 6-10 coach on a list may mean career. Who in their right mind thinks someone is pitching a 6-10 coach as coach of the year?! I don’t care which edge of the sword he grabs.

It’s clear as day. He raged out, made an ### of himself, and is now trying to convince himself he was right.

**ETA**

This is my last post on the subject and I apologize in advance for the 10-20 replies he’ll have after it. Just tell him he was correct, that’s all he’s hoping for

I honestly LOVE that we may be playing against TB.  No Fournette, no Godwin, no AB, hobbled Evans.  The drama surrounding Brown only hurts (though admittedly, probably not a ton).  We lost by 6 last time when they were at full strength and our defense was giving up an average of 33 point per game.  These are both much different team than they were in week 6.

Either way, its freaking amazing that we are talking playoff scenarios in January.

Draft pick rooting guide for Week 18:

  • Dolphins lose and Browns, Falcons, Broncos, Vikings win = Dolphins pick is #11
  • Jaguars and Chargers win = Colts will have no better than #18

And for the record I think Reich is a good coach. Not amazing or very, very good but good and that’s a good thing lol. He’s not an elite or amazing coach yet but still has plenty of time to hit those levels.

Absolutely amazing!

I look at it like we’re playing with house money. After we get a week to rest guys we are as dangerous in a one game scenario as anyone IMO.

I know Gannon gets a lot of crap and I know the schedule has helped but still:

The Eagles defense has allowed 4.8 yards per play since Week 8.

That’s 2nd in the NFL

Did anyone catch the graphic, during the second half, that showed the streak our defense has been on? It was something like 5-6 games of less than 300 yards passing and under 20 points or something like that

How does Reich have the 2nd highest odds for COY.  Their preseason over/under was 9 wins and they are 9-7 with 1 game to go.  The Eagles were at 6.5 wins and have the same record .
