2021 Philadelphia Eagles - Queued up a playlist of our greatest zits throughout the season for final game (4 Viewers)

Oh my.... Do you realize Dak has been in the league SIX YEARS now?!?!šŸ˜‚ You still think he sucks because of some opinion you formed in COLLEGE? He was drafted in the back of the fourth round, after 9 other QBs who he has SMOKED in the NFL (including your golden boy Wentz.)Jeez your crazy opinions never seize to amaze me. Always good for comic relief. šŸ˜‚

All I said was DAK couldn't win the big one in college, and still hasn't won anything yet in the NFL, but glad to see you guys still get your panties in a bunch out of any criticism of the team.Ā

It’s not that, it’s totally ok to hate on Dallas, after all it’s Dallas (America’s Team). But I instead of saying ā€œI hate Dak because he’s a Cowboyā€ you go on about some irrelevant BS to justify it. It’s hilariousšŸ˜‚. If tomorrow Philly traded for either Dak or Micah (you know, the guy you say sucks but is currently in the running for DROY) you would flip over night on their jockstraps. Dude, it’s ok to hate on EVERY COWBOY. Just own it instead of putting up bogus narratives to justify it. Cowboy fans hated Reggie White, but we would be an idiot to talk about the bust he was because he used to fart in class, therefore he wasn’t good. 😁 Heaven forbid Dak becomes a WWE Ā ā€œrasslerā€ and loved by all. You would have an aneurysm.

I wanted Parsons this draft. But I am happy with Devonta

Devonte is a stud. I HATE HIM BECAUSE HES AN EAGLE, but he’s good and getting better. Nice pick.Ā
I tried to come up with a reason to say he’s bad because in the 6th grade he couldn’t catch the ball with one hand, so therefore he’s a bust now, but that would be oh so DJax10 esque.🤣

Yeah you can keep the guy who tried choking out his teammate in College/ with Sexual assault allegations on same teammate and the coaches protected him. Perfect character fit for you guys.Ā

Eagles staff is apparently letting Jeff Stoutland talent as a run play designer and scheming to it weekly to teach the players to use it. One of the reasons Eagles run game has been so good is Sirianni and company are apparently relying on Stoutland and his run designs more.Ā

I think DJax is contractually required to hate Dak because he was so invested in the Dak vs Wentz discussion way back when, and he is head over heels in love with Wentz. He has carried over that same scorn for Hurts...it's not a 'Dallas' thing for him, it's 'anyone that could be compared to Wentz' thing.

Quote form Faust in the Hurts thread. This is very interesting.

Jalen Hurts has joined Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, and Robert Griffin III as the only quarterbacks with more than 2,000 passing yards, more than 500 rushing yards, and five rushing touchdowns in his team's first ten games.Ā

Hurts through ten games has exceeded the expectations of his most ardent backers. In the Eagles' Week 10 win over Denver, Hurts threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns, tacking on 53 yards on the ground. He's now fantasy's QB3 behind Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, and has a decent shot to finish the year as the top-scoring quarterback in fantasy this season. His 547 rushing yards through Week 10 ranks second only to Lamar Jackson, and his five rushing touchdowns are tied for the most among QBs. Hurts is a prime example of the power ofĀ fantasy football's Konami Code. He'll once again be an elite option in Week 11 against the Saints.Ā

This solidifies some of my thinking when I mentioned I hope we don't trade for Watson or Wilson. We truly haven't even seen Hurts ceiling yet. If we invested in Hurts and continued to iron out his weaknesses I do believe we have a winner here. Is he franchise guy? Who knows but I would rather give Hurts and Sirianni another season as long as we don't draft a QB early and go all in on Hurts.Ā

So the Saints lead the league in fewest rushing yards per attempt (3.1) through 10 weeks. While I think the Eagle's defense has a good shot to play well against Trevor Siemian, I worry that the offense will get bogged down because they can't run the ball effectively. I am very skeptical of us winning this game.

This will be a big test for Siriani on how dedicated he is to his new philosophy. Will he back down if he gets stuffed a couple of times on opening drives or will he keep pounding. Saints defense can be exploited through the air too. So we'll see what Hurts has for an encore.Ā

Hurts and devonta need to have a big day.Ā  Ā Goedart should be back right?

At least our state doesn't hate Women equality Ā and we didn't egg on another fan to literally execute an opposing fan at point blank range

Also at least we show up to our Games. Denver fans sure made Jurrah World Denver SouthĀ

Not at all I was bringing up a solid issue with Prescott in the fact he could never win the big one in College. In the NFL he hasn't had many chances to really show he's over that. He's 1-2 in his playoff career as well. I'm by no means saying Prescott sucks and is terrible he's a good player. I'd just like to see him in a few more big game settings because one of his biggest knocks in college wasn't being able to win the big oneĀ

Being a good fantasy QB doesn't mean you are also a great in reality. Lamar has always been a great Fantasy QB because he can put up pts with his legs and sometimes has carried his fantasy totals on that when he looks awful passing. However thats fantasy. Hurts has played Det, LAC and Den defenses. One is pretty awful, Chargers aren't terrible but they are mediocre and this isn't the Den defense from Yrs ago. Lamar is a great fantasy QB but MIA greatly exposed Lamar's biggest weaknesses similar to ones Vick has.Ā

Has Hurts looked good at times? Yes he has. However he's still fairly inaccurate and looks to run and doesn't progress through his reads. He takes care of the ball? Sure to an extent but he's been more lucky then good. His fumbling issues haven't been there like last year but he's been lucky on a couple would be INTs. Den dropped one and Smith made a great play on a ball that'd make our old Jimmy Johnson Secondary guys proud to keep a 2nd one off.Ā

My biggest concerns with Hurts are still there and one is still there because we really haven't seen it in action. Thats can he carry the team if everything isn't going his way? Is he going to be able to keep the team afloat till guys get back healthy or lead a bunch of guys to the playoffs like Wentz did in '18? or are we always gonna need to rely on having a top 10 defense (Doesn't look great future wise right now there) and very good Run game?Ā

My 2nd concern is he's really inconsistent. He looks great but then looks like he can't even start for an NFL team. He'll either have a great first or second half then disappear in the other half. That's just not something I want from my QB.Ā

Maybe it's a certain type of QB I prefer compared to others. I'd rather have a QB I know I can rely on that could carry the team on his back for long stretches and win us some games then a streaky guy who maybe might steal a game but could also lose you a lot of games too because the things around him aren't going his way. I think the Eagles are really doing a disservice to their track star receivers not having a QB who can throw a consistent long ball and be a threat for it all the time. Doesn't need to bomb it out every play but the threat of it being there and happening anytime.Ā

Yeah I apologize I just find it funny how Dallas fans react if you aren't glad handing their guys. I simple stated a knock on one of the players coming out of college and they act like I attacked their mother.Ā

Announced on the Foundation Facebook page Carson Wentz won't miss the birth of his Child. Carson's older Brother Zach and his wife just had a baby themselves over the weekend.Ā

And that’s another one for Team Wentz and @ao1foundation!

Yeah, I finally gave up trying to talk sense into him. This year, he's talked more trash about Hurts (yes, some of it deserved, but still) than he ever did about Dak. It's not an anti-Cowboys thing, it's a I'm-never-changing-my-mind thing.Ā

I'm not there yet.....but I could come around. He has 7 more games to get me there.

Was much happier with his overall play this week.

If we can get one of them for a single first round pick I would do it.Ā

Im done buying into the stats though. This was the same exact thing with Wentz and look how it turned out. He was the ā€œfirst to do this and that and top 5 all time in blah blahā€. I’m not feeding into it at all anymore. With that said I’m good with him for another year as long as they attack defense in the draft heavily and get back to building the lines.Ā

Eagles penalties:
- Week 1-5: 50 penalties, most in NFL (2nd most had 40)
- Week 6-10: 20 penalties, 5th fewest in NFL
- Barnett leads the team in penalties (shocker), and is responsible for 8.6 % of all their penalties.

Another big deal:

3rd down conversion:
- 2020: 37 % (28th)
- 2021: 44 % (6th)

RedZone scoring:
- 2020: 60 % (13th)
- 2021: 68.5 % (6th)

Points per play:
- 2020: 0.31 (28th)
- 2021: 0.43 (9th)

The coaching staff is young and raw but they are learning quick. I'm excited a bit again. Don't think we're making the playoffs but I like what I'm seeing.Ā

I see Hurts as a potential Dak. Raw potential coming out of college. Not highly touted but worked hard and kept improving every year. If we can get a top 12 calibur QB out of Hurts, we obviously need to keep him. But I would also go the Dak route of franchising him until we find out.Ā

Eagles: 3 straight games of 200+ yards rushing

Saints: Only once in the last 93 games have they allowed 200+ yards rushing (to the Eagles, last year)

Either we're going to see that 200+ yards rushing streak come to an end, or we're going to make a case for "owning" the Saints D.Ā

Just got tix for the game. Super excited-first game since the year before COVID. Ā Hope the defense gobbles up Simian (likely) and can get some miles on this vaunted rush defense (less likely). Ā Either way I’ll be screaming my as off one way or another.

I'm concerned with his consistency for the most part. Hurts has been very inconsistent. We all remember some guy named Bobby Hoying right?Ā

If the team still feels he's not the guy but decide to stay with him one more year because they don't like whats out there then fine. At the very least we can see if he's consistent or not. He still has to do a lot to change my mind though. The teams the 3 week stretch we've gone up against aren't world beaters and teams we should be beating. I'm with you I'm ok with it as long as they go defense heavy and fix the lines.Ā

This is exactly where I stand. I couldn't bring the torch to burn it all down this week. It *seems* like some sort of lightbulb went off and a lot of things progressed all at the same time:

More run plays

Less penalties

Smarter Playcalling

Getting the right players on the field

I AM excited more now than I was 4 weeks back, thats for sure. I just hope we can keep up the momentum and hopefully get Miles to see that one hole and cut instead of busting out his best dance moves. This is working right now. Keep it going.Ā

The #Eagles and TE Dallas Goedert reached agreement on a four-year contract extension, sources say. The deal ranks top three amongst tight ends on an average-per-year basis.

Goedert, who was slated to be a free agent after the season, is now under contract in Philly thru 2025.

Per Scheftar

Compensation update: Eagles gave Dallas Goedert a four-year, $59 million extension that includes $35.7 million guaranteed, per source.

Its a nice deal. and I like it over Hurst or Smith's deals they've gotten the last 2 seasons.Ā

Yeah if some smart moves are made we could be a very interesting team next season.

That said it's prob gonna take more than 1 year
Definitely. This coming off season is gigantic though. Have to get some quality FA’s and nail the draft. If that happens we are in good shape.Ā

NO is without both Tackles and Kamara on Sunday. Their offense isn't the same without Winston at QB who honestly can be very hot or cold. However they have a really good run D and bad pass D.Ā

4 yrs 32.5 with 13 guaranteed to Avonte Maddox. The Bromance continues for the roommates both signed within 24 hrs of one anotherĀ

Totally winnable game
My problem is which team do we get and which QB. The last 3 weeks or the team from the 1st half? Also I fear if Miles plays they won't run as much either as they should. I think they get too cute like the TB game and try to pass on this bad secondary and abandon the runĀ
