Like Brogdon, but guy can't stay healthy and he doesn't seem like a good fit for the Celtics.
You don't seem like a good fit.Like Brogdon, but guy can't stay healthy and he doesn't seem like a good fit for the Celtics.
They have Gallo now. They’re fine.I mean nice trade for Celtics on the surface, but
#1, he gotta stay healthy
#2, you just cleared out even more of your already impotent bench. What are they gonna be doing to address that the rest of the offseason?
They added Brogdon and Gallinari and moved on from Theis, Nesmith, Stauskus, Fitts, and Morgan. Basically, they added more scoring without really parting with anyone od substance or importance. Free agency isn't even 24 hours old yet. The remaining B teamers (GWilliams, White, Pritchard) mostly played well and contributed throughout their productive end of the season run. They just didn't play great against GS. What were you expecting them to do? Trade bigger pieces?I mean nice trade for Celtics on the surface, but
#1, he gotta stay healthy

They still have everyone that played meaningful minutes in the playoffs and added 2 guys who will get time and can score.I mean nice trade for Celtics on the surface, but

i think that the theory of it is to help smaller markets keep players they developed by reducing the chance that richer, bigger market teams will try to gobble up those players. whether it really helps anyone, who knows. That designated rookie extension rule seems kind of dumb. What was the purpose of it?
I use spotrac.com. Basically if a team is over the cap they have to send at least 80% back. Only 50% counts in sign and trades if you are receiving more salary than you are sending and are over the cap.
My limited understanding of it is that it’s meant to be one of those extra special benefits you get to use on one of your players to help keep from losing them. That designated rookie extension rule seems kind of dumb. What was the purpose of it?

Nice get by the Celts. Bunch of non-rotation guys for a very solid PG.
The Celtics could use a player who doesn't turn the ball over. Meanwhile, Miami lost Tucker and is standing still at the moment.Nice get by the Celts. Bunch of non-rotation guys for a very solid PG.

This thread will be less insightful and interesting. He saw the game better than most and grew up watching Russell & Hondo in person. For those that haven’t seen it, we’ve lost @wikkidpissah last night - one of the all time great posters here.

The Timberwolves are sending Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt and multiple first-round picks for Gobert, sources tell ESPN.Go Bert to the WOLVES. I’ll reserve judgement until I see the entirety of the deal and what the roster looks like for game 1.
FOUR (4!!!!) 1sts and players…not sure who yet…but can’t say I love that. They’re going for it though, and not many other ways to get impact players to come to Minnesota.Gobert to the WOLVES. I’ll reserve judgement until I see the entirety of the deal and what the roster looks like for game 1.
Wolves got rid of Beverley
I'd say that's a win
Utah entering the Wembanyama race.
Donovan Mitchell next to go?Utah entering the Wembanyama race.
So KAT playing the 4? I like that, but I am not sure this works.
Absolutely. If they play it right they can turn the ship around quickly. Should have plenty of assets moving these guys.Donovan Mitchell next to go?
Damn nice return for the Jazz.
I’m sure they’ll rack up regular season wins but I agree, wings will cook them in the playoffs. So KAT playing the 4? I like that, but I am not sure this works.
