I mean nice trade for Celtics on the surface, but

#1, he gotta stay healthy

#2, you just cleared out even more of your already impotent bench. What are they gonna be doing to address that the rest of the offseason?

brogdon is a ball stopper who needs the ball all the time and doesnt make the rest of his team better you may have noticed the bucks took off after he left because he would never be the leader with anteater around look all i am saying is that i am not a huge fan but he seems like a nice guy take that to the bank brohans

They added Brogdon and Gallinari and moved on from Theis, Nesmith, Stauskus, Fitts, and Morgan. Basically, they added more scoring without really parting with anyone od substance or importance. Free agency isn't even 24 hours old yet. The remaining B teamers (GWilliams, White, Pritchard) mostly played well and contributed throughout their productive end of the season run. They just didn't play great against GS. What were you expecting them to do? Trade bigger pieces?

They still have everyone that played meaningful minutes in the playoffs and added 2 guys who will get time and can score.

Feels like there could be another move coming after this deal, looking forward to some good rumors...C's give up almost nothing and get a quality player back without screwing up their cap...another player that has some faults but since they did not touch their core they can play him to his strengths which are very good...impressive day for Stevens...added Gallinari and Brogdon and the only good asset he gave up was a #1 and there is almost no way that isn't a low pick.

That designated rookie extension rule seems kind of dumb. What was the purpose of it?
i think that the theory of it is to help smaller markets keep players they developed by reducing the chance that richer, bigger market teams will try to gobble up those players.  whether it really helps anyone, who knows.

My limited understanding of it is that it’s meant to be one of those extra special benefits you get to use on one of your players to help keep from losing them.

The fact that you can’t trade for another player with a similar deal seems weird to me and is a bug I’d hope they fix in the next CBA (unless this is more of a feature to keep less super teams than it is a bug).

ETA - Basically, every team gets one super-contract to give to their players, and you can’t trade for another player on a super-contract if you already have one.

Bruce Brown to the Nugs on a two year deal. Now this is what I am talking about. This is a good signing. I would love to have seen Cousins come back vs signing Jordan, but if Murray and MPJ are healthy, Denver has a shot to make some noise. I don't want to think about it if they are not.  :yucky:

Both LA teams being that high is comical.

- Lakers are cooked with Westbrick.

- PG is on the Rushmore of chokers with CP3

- Maybe I can buy into the Suns if Booker practices getting double teamed this summer...

Gobert to the WOLVES.  I’ll reserve judgement until I see the entirety of the deal and what the roster looks like for game 1.

The Timberwolves are sending Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt and multiple first-round picks for Gobert, sources tell ESPN.

The picks going to Utah, per sources: unprotected 1sts in 23, 25, 27, a swap in ‘26 and a top 5 protected in ‘29

Edit: plus Bolmaro

FOUR (4!!!!) 1sts and players…not sure who yet…but can’t say I love that. They’re going for it though, and not many other ways to get impact players to come to Minnesota.

The Utah Jazz is trading three-time DPOY Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro and four first-round picks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

So KAT playing the 4? I like that, but I am not sure this works.

So unexpected...legit twin towers...really won't know what it looks like until you see them on the floor together...such an intriguing move...everyone loves the wings and the Wolves go old school with the big men...Wolves are gonna be real interesting next year.

I would not be surprised if Riley and the Heat make a big move for someone like Mitchell...the Heat are very good, but I don't think this current team can win a championship...they have the pieces to do something that could get them closer to that.
