Maybe I missed a time period caveat but if not then GTFO with the Pistons. I’d trade the Hawks history and current situation with the Pistons in a heart beat.

hmm, the Hawks have only even been to 2 conference finals in the last 50 years, and at least one was kind of a fake appearance that is pretty rough.

I'm really talking more about recent history and going forward, not all-time. If all-time, Sacramento is probably number 1. Charlotte might be close.

I’d begrudgingly maybe give you Sacramento but Charlotte has been around long enough.

54 years and we’ve never been in the Finals much less won it.

The Pistons do have a nice history, but I think it all came from the top. Bill Davidson bought the team in the 70's and Pistons had all their success under his ownership. He passed in 2009 and I don't think they have even won a playoff game since he passed.

Without him I think the Pistons would be one of worst franchises in sports history and probably wouldn't even be in Michigan anymore.

The new owner sucks.

Imagine setting up a night at a Bucks game with a client including dinner and then learning day of the game that it is Pride Night with a drag show at halftime and a post-game celebration. Totally supportive of the LGBTQ community and all but this is a bit awkward. I've just texted him a heads up, waiting for his reaction.

Lean into it, imo.

I've got to find my brightest, most fabulous jacket, pants and tie combo for the occasion. I'm not going to miss Giannis v Jokic and I'm going to have fun dammit.
:kicksrock:
At least you get the drag show. It would be a bit weird to have kids and having this as part of the entertainment. Not the right place 🤷

At least the Jokic sitting is a legit injury

Please stop with this most frustrating franchise debate. Jonny Flynn over Curry. Losingest major sports team in history. Like 3 playoff series wins in history and they were all in the same season. Joe Smith punishment. Perhaps the most frustrating superstar in the league right now. Finally showing some promise and they make a trade to go all in (I supported this trade) and their All-NBA center gets hurt for like half the season at this point so a giant experiment to try to make a couple odd ducks fit together never even gets off the ground. Laughing stock of the media for that trade. Perhaps we don't consider the Wolves as eligible for this debate since they've been relevant once. Ever. And then traded the best player in franchise history so he could win a title somewhere else.

I mean, did you see how happy we were to win a play-in game? And, I'm telling you as a fan, that reaction was completely rational given the history. GTFOH with the Hawks and Pistons and everyone else. The Wolves are a combo of the Vikings, Bills, Browns, and Lions, except with less success. I hate you all.

But they’ve only been in the league for like 7 years

Is that true?

First 10,000 fans through the door that night will get a matching Bucks Pride Beanie!

I will legit buy this from you if you get one. No schtick.

If I get one its yours. We won't likely be in the first 10k in the door but will try to snag one.

Sweet! If you do get your hands on one (or two) I would either be a buyer or send you a package of Oregon's finest beer/wine you name it.

In the Western Conference, the 3rd seed (Sacramento) is currently only 5 games up on the 13th seed (Lakers). Denver and Memphis are looking good to be at the top of the playoffs, and San Antonio and Houston are safely in tank for Wembanyama, but the other 11 teams in the conference could end up anywhere.

I lot can change in not a lot of time. The Celtics were under .500 at the halfway point last year and ended up in the finals. There were essentially where UTA, OKC, POR, LAL are at now. The only difference was BOS started their ascension a couple of weeks earlier last season. Still a lot of regular season basketball left.

I have forgotten how awful Draymond is to watch. Worst schtick in the leleague.
NEVER FORGET!!

I've been telling people Draymond is the worst for 5 years now. He leads the NBA in T's since he came into the league and still should have like twice as many.

The worst thing about the Finals last year wasn't that the Celtics lost, but that Green would have another reason to overinflate his ego and self-justify all of his shenanigans.

The ultimate troll on the court. Always tangled up with everyone, flopping, fake tough guy, nonstop whining. He’s the best at this game but man I hate watching it.

Did we ever hear what his reaction is? Also a drag show sounds way more enjoyable then whatever other trash they typically toss out there at halftime

I was looking at the individual technical foul list and found something interesting.

There are three teams who don't have a single player with 2 or more technical fouls on the season; Cleveland, Utah & San Antonio.

It all went well and our client rolled with it no problem. I thought the reference I saw on Twitter to a "drag show" might have been hyperbole, but no - it was a full on drag show extravaganza that was entertaining. Definitely better than seeing the teacup lady on the unicycle again. There were rainbows on the screens everywhere in the stadium, video presentations at timeouts, etc. - the team went all-in on this. The only downer was the Nuggets sent a B team so the game itself was subpar.

I'm holding out hope the Rockets get the French guy. Houston's missing piece was Banchero but Orlando smartened up and stuck us with Jabari Smith. Smith is serviceable but I don't think he'll be a star. The guy to watch in Houston is Sengun. I really like what I've seen from him and worth the 2 1sts we gave OKC. He has a little Jokic in him with his triple double prowess. The potential of a Green/Sengun/Banchero nucleus was fun to think about but now I can only rest my hopes in the lottery.

NBA all-star starters

West
Curry
Luka
LeBron (capt)
Zion
Jokic

East
Kyrie
Mitchell
Giannis (capt)
Tatum
Durant

I think I’m mostly good with the starters, but probably would have gone with Sabonis over Zion. Embid and SGA were deserving but got squeezed out understandably.

I feel like Jordan Clarkson has been ejected twice for squaring up to fight this season. Were those considered flagrants and not technicals?

If the T-Wolves would just implement a no trade clause on the organization you guys would probably be alright. Jimmy Butler, DeAngelo Russell and Rudy Gobert trades are all disasters and those are the few I could think of off the top of my head.

sure, then they could just build through the draft with strong players like johnny flynn, jarrett culver, wes johnson, derrick williams, kris dunn and the like.

T-wolves do hold the worst winning percentage in both the regular season (39.9%) and playoffs (34.5%) all time. However, they are tied for the best play-in games winning % at 100%, so they got that going for them, which is nice.
Gunga galunga . . . gunga, gunga-lagunga.

I though Jonny Flynn was gonna be a star. Woof. Missed HUGE on that one.

I love it when the Reddit sports nerds latch on to something. No idea how NBA scorekeeping is done but I would be surprised if they let a potentially invested local make these decisions.
Pretty sure that’s how score keeping is done in just about all sports. Some NFL teams routinely have high tackle numbers for their defensive players because the home scorer gives out half tackles to everyone and their brother on every play. Those players then move to another team and their tackle numbers suddenly drop.

Bulls dealing DeRozan has to be the biggest no brainer in the league. They're going nowhere w/o Ball (who has no return in sight) and DeRozan will bring back a nice return having another year on his deal and playing at a high level.

The worst position in sports is to be a bad veteran team.

I’ll bet they keep him. But you’re right.

Well the Magic have their first round pick if it’s not in the top-4 ( :towelwave: ) so they don’t have a ton of incentive to tank.
