Great game. I thought for sure the Celtics would win. That push-off by Tatum was egregious. Any consequences for the refs?

guys, the Celtics just don't have the horses to win this series. they're better than the SIxers and it's not close. no contest. the Sixers just have a better roster and can't beat Boston because the refs are cleary against winning because of Russell Westbrook.

Celtics fans burning jerseys and furiously sending threatening emails to Celts players who are clearly the worst in the NBA

Amazing how unnecessary this L was.

Let Embiid beat Tatum for the tie there and have a no-pressure tied game last possession. Miss and go to double OT, big whoop.

Marcus Smart costing Joe Mazzulla his job, imo

Fbg moderator changed the thread title bc “I was taking a shot at another poster”

The thread title was about me :lmao: I had like 25 posts about Poole.

The lack of a sense of humor is so odd to me sometimes. It’s just a message board guys. Nobody is curing cancer here.

Jordan Poole might be.

Jordan Poole >> I am sorry for my posts.

Your shot was still horrible though.
I thought the Celtics' last possession was far worse than the Poole shot.

Here we go again.

Tatum has a Harvard basketball IQ. If Smart shoots 0.25 seconds sooner, Boston wins the game. As a fan, I like what the coach did.
have to disagree a lot here. Took Tatum way too long to move the ball up and get it to anyone. Smart had like 1.5 seconds to shoot the ball and make a decision. Time out was probably the right call, but Tatum not moving the ball quicker makes it seem like they thought the game was tied and that they didn't need to hurry and get a shot

I didn't get to watch the game, but just read the in game replies and I know how the game went.

The 76ers were up by 40 and about to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy and they they lost the entire series in the 4th quarter and were about to be relegated to the G league then MVP Harden played the reverse card from Uno to go to overtime and win the game. Now the entire fate of the NBA rests on game 5 of this series.

TLDR 76er fans have to be the most dramatic fans in the league.

toss up between Celtics and Sixers fans, really

Georges Niang is trash.

Big fan of no timeouts at the end of regulation or OT so we can set up Marcus Smart for long range jumpers.

You call timeout there and Philly gets a chance to pull Maxey out and insert Melton. Then you can't seek out Maxey on the switch. The Celts got exactly what they wanted, they just waited 0.2 seconds too long to initiate.

My son asked “what are you laughing so hard at?” so I read this to him. We were both 😂🤣😂 at the “reverse card from Uno” line. Priceless!!!

I am extremely impressed with Booker and the Suns. This felt like a gentlemans sweep. With that said I still want them to lose.

Another home win and guarantee of at least 1 more home game.

Still think Nuggs got this. Book and KD have been remarkable to carry them with CP3 out and Ayton absolutely dreadful. It's getting embarrassingly bad. Legit looks and moves like a end of career center that wants to avoid contact at all costs that moves at one speed. He literally is a dedicated screener at this point.....and he's zero threat out there to shoot. They'll be able to deal him this off-season with the bad deals around the league. Wouldn't be surprised if they had Paul and his partially guaranteed contract as part of deal with team(s)

Looking at box score from last night; Steph was -26 with 3 turnovers and Klay was -23 with 6 turnovers.

That seems ungood.
No more meaningless stat than a single game +/-

Only useful if you take it for five-man units over much larger sample sizes
It certainly can be a misleading and surprising stat. I don’t want to say it’s completely useless—but the most recent Celtics vs Sixers game is a prime example of how +/- can be incomplete.

I think most would agree that James Harden was a huge reason (if not the biggest reason) the Sixers won game 4. His stat line was
42 total points, 16 for 23 from the field—which is amazing, 6-9 from the 3pt line—also amazing, 4-4 from the free throw line,
8 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals, 1 block—and only 1 turnover. That’s about as perfect a stat line that one could hope to have in a game. However, he had the worst +/- on the Sixers that game with a -6.
