what is the over under in games missed for Ja's suspension? Silver's wording was rather ominous I thought.
the way it feels like this works is every punishment has to be exponentially greater than the one before it.

i'm going full season with a possible lifetime ban. then the next NBA player seen flashing a gun on camera just gets executed by Silver on live tv.
does he use a gun for the execution or not take that to the bank bromigo
set ablaze like Thich Quang Duc

 But that’s not even a guarantee.

Hyperbole used to be the clickbait titles but now it seems people are reacting with hyperbole.

Doesn't surprise me. You'd be amazed at what some of these younger girls are into nowadays. I blame the proliferation of pron.

Well, she IS a pron star, so.....

But still. Gross. We just got out of a pandemic, people.

Of course it's not an explicit guarantee. But show the end of that clip to anyone with a competitive bone in their body and the motivating effect will be basically the same.

Not so much

He's praising his teammate

Other athletes know what it's all about

They will submit to Jimmy Buckets?

Windhorst seems to think CP3 will still end up back with the Suns once he clears waivers.
Don't discount the Lakers. They can probably talk themselves into a veteran player to surround Bron with. .
That was my thought as well. CP3, Reaves (assuming they can retain him and God I hope they do), LBJ, AD is a nice foursome. Perhaps Rui as the 5th? Have Russell come off the bench for offensive sparks.

Maybe it is just crazy thinking, but I can see tonight's game being more of defensive struggle with the under being definitely in play. I think Denver takes it with a 4-5 point victory 102-97 or so.

However. this could all come crashing down to earth if MPJ decides to leave his brain in Denver and Gordon disappears. I bet 1st basket Gordon tonight because I think Denver tries to go back to what worked in the 1st quarter of G1.

Not that surprising absent a trade, Suns plan to waive Paul per Chris Haynes

Why are they doing this? They are eating a lot of money.
Never mind. It’s a partial guarantee.

It is, though it still wouldn’t make you much sense unless they were planning to re-sign him. They could sign him for 5-7 million and save some money. Seems unlikely the suns would have done it unless both sides had an agreement to bring him back

Do they lose his Bird rights when he’s waived? That would seem logical.

I think that was what Windy was hinting at. Waiving him drops them below the dreaded “second apron”, which lets them use the TMLE. Resigning Paul to a lower amount for a few years gets him more than he’d get on the market. Suns can’t say they plan to reign him yet but who knows what counts as tampering any more.

I’d love for the Lakers to get him cheap, just not sure if he’ll really be a “free” agent.

From what I read no. They’d have to use some or all of their TMLE to resign him (unless it’s for the minimum, which doesn’t make too much sense from Paul’s perspective).

Haha, my spidey senses never fail

And he guaranteed several others that Miami lost in the ECF-Boston, all good and I love his edge but his words doesn't really matter tonight.
I think this game could come down to Murray and what he is able to do tonight. Jokic will get his one way or the other, it's the supporting cast and I believe Murray is the key. Murray was coming on like a freight train at the end of Game 2, I think he will jump out tonight and establish himself, won't wait around for the 4th, I expect a different Jamal Murray, he concerns me a lot as a Heat fan.
Jimmy was assigned to Murray in Game 2, it seemed to make a big difference. I would anticipate Denver has an answer for this tonight and then the Heat will have to make a counter move or adjustment again.

I'm also looking forward to the coaching chess moves tonight.
Line has moved to Nuggets -3.5, people are betting Denver tonight

100% with you. I would also expect the Murray v. Butler matchup to be the key and for both to come out pretty aggressive.

Yes for this year, but then they would get them back for future years.

Jokic getting away with a lot of pushing, hooking and bumping early
That's funny because I thought Kevin Love was molesting him when he was trying to receive the ball last few trips.
I was surpised Jokic was getting the And1 call

Miami has missed a lot of shots early, not hitting their 3s, doesn't look good for the Heat and we are entering the Cody Zeller minutes of the game, that can be disastrous.

Malone going to his bench early this game. Wonder if it's strategic to save energy for Q4.

Reggie Jackson sighting for the first time in playoffs (non-garbage time).

Very short leash for MPJ tonight, getting the quick yank after unimpressive start
