2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (2 Viewers)

Late to the thread here, but I liked him back in the day when he was with Steve Fredericks on WIP. Than he left to do a morning show ( I think Conklin was on the show) and became insufferable after that.

He left WIP because he was fired for punching a Co-worker. Won't go long into this story  but he was tephlonf at the new gig. My buddy worked on a blog that no longer exist thanks to the owner of the blog's ego being too big. Essentially my buddy nicely told Mike he had some info on the Jimmy Rollins contract wrong. For whatever reason Mikey got all hot and bothered and toolkit personal because of how much he hated "bloggers" and how they aren't real journalists etc. Mikey also realized the blog he worked for was the one who called him out for saying Cole Hamels Agent gave him insider Info of Cole resigning with Phillies. Casey Close and the site got in contact quoting Close on the subject "Mikey Miss is the last Fn guy in Philly I give insider info too. I would never go on his show he's a jack@$s." Mike went on an unprofessional email rant where he used homophobic, racial and other derogatory wording in the email. My buddy carbon copied and sent them to 97.5 where he got the standard email replay from them of "Thanks for replying to us glad to here from ya." never heard anything from them again

I told him he should go public with the emails or send them into a news station or something but it was at that point where he told me Mikey Miss isn't a guy worth the trouble. I just feel sorry for the guy he has to use those remarks on a blogger. There were at least 2 other times I've heard from 2 local sports reporters here he should've also been fired as well with the 3rd including the Victor Cruz incident. The dude to me seemed like a wannabe Howard Eskin and could never get it down pat. He's the joke the kids use today "This is what you get when you try hiring Howard Eskin off Wish."

Also I think Conklin went to WMMR at one point to do the Preston and Steve show with them.

Wonder if that coincided with running the ball more. One game they flipped a switch and became super run heavy the rest of the way.

I saw it more as them experimenting with what Hurts was and wasn't capable of doing at that point. They're still rebuilding and you can afford to do that when its a Young QB your staff didn't pick either.

I listened to him because he was an alternative to jerk on the other station (who no longer has a weekday show and I think he's on mostly early Saturday mornings now).

I preferred Eskin. Mike seemed like a wannabe Eskin that came off too desperate. There was multiple times he should've lost his job over the yrs.

Then again I'm the guy who preferred Josh Innes and Tony Bruno over all of them besides Macnow who's son went to school with me and Big Daddy

Missed it if it was already discussed but anyone have any games circled to go on a road trip this year?

DATE - OPPONENT - TIME

Sun, Sep 11 - @Detroit - 1:00 PM - Season opener but Detroit?... meh.

Sun, Sep 25 - @Washington - 1:00 PM - Can do this any year but early in the season weather should be decent and could combine with a historic DC weekend tour with the kids.

Sun, Oct 9 - @Arizona - 4:25 PM - Arizona maybe best location to visit?  Was there before with just the wife the year the stadium was built and got a tour but team was travelling so no game.  With a 4:25 would prob have to take Monday off too and have the kids miss school.

Thu, Nov 3 - @Houston - 8:15 PM - I'd think travelling for a Thursday game would be a little more difficult with extra vacation days, etc.

Sun, Nov 20 - @Indianapolis - 1:00 PM - I've been to Indy a few times for work, not sure it would be super high on the list?

Sun, Dec 11 - @New York - 1:00 PM - Can do a last minute NJ trip any year, maybe not a December game this year.

Sun, Dec 18 - @Chicago - 1:00 PM - Would be interested to tour Chicago but my wife is not going to be a big fan of going in December.

Sat, Dec 24 - @Dallas - 4:25 PM - Christmas eve probably isn't going to work anywhere and there will be opportunities every year to go to Jerryworld.

So probably leaning Washington or Arizona this year, anyone else travelling?...

Not sure if it makes a difference but Monday would be Columbus Day so the kids may not have to miss school.

Arizona and Chicago would be my top 2 destinations but Chicago in December sounds cold and Arizona is a better team.

Definitely a disappointing away schedule this year, once the dates/times were assigned.

Season opener in Detroit is the only game that combines convenience (game time, short and reasonably priced flights, plenty of tickets, can go out Saturday morning and be back Sunday night) and "hype" factor (season opener, good chance of dominating).

Washington - dreadful stadium and game day experience

Arizona - Maybe 2nd best option

Houston - Would be right up there, if it wasn't a Thursday game

Indy - 3rd best option, but boring city

NY - December weather

Chicago - even worse December weather

Dallas - XMas eve is super inconvenient for travel unless you're looking to spend your Xmas in Texas

Det: My Brothers GF mother lives outside of Grand Rapids but it'd be a little weird for me

ARZ I have a friend who lives out there and she bought a house in Scottsdale. I'd have to set something up with her but she may have already set something up with her dad who I'm not a huge fan of. If it wasn't for her dad her and I probably would've at least dated in HS so that might not happen

My brother has been to Indy a few times for work similar reasoning here

NYC might be good. I belong to a soccer club in Philly called Milan club and we have people up there Milan Club NYC who go to the Football factory. If Milan has a Saturday match that week we might be able to swing something if it's a big game. But given right before winter break not likely

WAS same as NYC but depends on Milan schedule. Their group isn't as big but one of the guys who writes for the bigger team blogs for the side I know and moved there during the pandemic.

Hou My coworkers son Dino Vasso is now their DB coach the last 2 yrs. I'd have to talk to her to see what she's doing. That would more so be just me going as I wouldn't want to intrude on their family stuff and if his mom said come with us then cool.

If Chicago was near Xmas New Years My cousin with his wife go there to see her family. I could swing a Bulls game in there if they were home too but CHI date doesn't work out

DeSean Jackson was on The league pod with other guest LeSean McCoy. He said the first year Vick was in Philly when DJac made Pro bowl as the first player to make it in 2 positions for Special Teams and WR McNabb told Vick Jackson didn't deserve it. Jackson never confronted Vick on the issue.

There was also an All White Charity event McNabb did yearly tickets were 1OO one year and 5O another. He wanted DJac to pay 25. I don't think that was his probablem as much as the fact Hank Basket told him he had to go buy all the champagne for the event. Both Shady and DJac agreed McNabb was one of the cheapest players on the team though.

Is there a reason you are typing zeroes with capital O's? 100 vs 1OO?

Tell us more about her dad.

Well dang! I might as well jump full over board on the Dean train. We might very well have drafted a Dawkins/Jenkins type of leadership at linebacker. I honestly can't remember who was our last true leader at the linebacker position. Trotter, Joyner maybe?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LMn0Bp627Y8

I could see Dean fitting in well and not only feeding off the energy our team will have but keeping teammates in check when the game gets tough. Offense always gets the love but I can't wait to watch our defense go to work. Could be something special...

@modogg I watched your video. My take is that it's just another mans opinion.

Davis is a big, fast and strong. If Davis is motivated on his own which it appears that he is then he'll be good to go. You really can't coach his intangibles (Speed, Strength and Size). You either got it or you don't.

Davis IMO is only rough around the edges because that Georgia defense was so amazing. Davis's raw ability was enough for Georgia. Yes I agree he will need to improve on technique but IMO Davis's upside for outweighs his downside.

So lame, I miss camp at Lehigh.

Do you know if the On Field access is going to have more this year then just being on the field? If it is I'd probably get it but since I've done it already probably stay with the cheaper one

I think based on price alone, $25 probably won't get you much more than a walk around the field or something. In years past, it was $50-$125 for VIP practice options and those included some cool stuff like reserved seats, pics with the Lombardi, after practice field access (which meant possible player autographs/interactions), etc.

Weird how the Deshaun Watson situation is playing out exactly how I feared it would.

Look at how much FUN our team is having right now with Jalen hitting walk off homeruns at charity softball games and tell me this locker room would not be a dumpster fire right now if we had this turd for our QB. And at that salary.

i only post this because i have only heard overwhelmingly positive stuff about Davis, but seriously, who the F is this click-bait guy. Tuned out when i looked and saw the "kiss" tattoo on his neck, but still thought i would post if anybody gets any credible info out of this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72Cp1yzbTE4&ab_channel=FORMERNFLSCOUTDANIELKELLY

I've heard about him before from people. I won't go into detail but I'll say there's a reason he's a "former NFL scout". He's basically peddling opinions of what the avg fan has been regurgitating about Davis. Most of the reliable people I've talked too in talent Eval love Davis and think it was asinine he wasn't a top 5 pick but said that may have been just because of his weight issues.

Don't like Hurts at QB but if I had a gun to my head and had to choose Hurts or Watson I'm taking Hurts for the simple fact he didn't come with baggage. Like I said I heard a few things years ago about Watson and brushed it off as someone with a bad experience with him. Looking back on it now I'm willing to say it wasn't Now we also know why HOU was trying to rush to trade him before yesterdays news came out. They didn't want him on the team when that info eventually came out

I don't see how the NFL at this point lets Watson play another down in his career and I think HOU could be in for some punishment for enabling here or something.

I've never been on the Hurts train, and am far from convinced he'll ever be more then a top notch backup or transitional QB.....but your negativity towards him is getting to be a bit too much. He's got a great attitude overall, the team loves him, and he's still cheap on his rookie deal.....he absolutely deserves a real chance. I sincerely  hope we're wrong.

Where did I say anything terrible about him. I said I'd take Hurts over Watson any day and thats true. I never was a Watson fan to begin with and I think he was pretty overrated to begin with. I'm not a Hurts and thankfully the team from what I've heard aren't much either. I wish him success in his career but just because he's a nice guy, nice teammate and has a great smile doesn't always translate to very talented QB. My remark was simple saying I'd rather stick with Hurts then ever take on Watson ever. I actually complimented Hurts for being a good character guy here.

My Zero key on my laptop is broken haven't fixed it yet

I'm probably going to go over to the Apple Store near me weekend of my birthday to see if I can get the issue fixed there as I'm going over that way anyway. I might also just call the tech guys across from my work with the model number and all as they can give me a price there. My issue is I'm worried theres another issue not seen without opening it I don't know about for another expense. If the price is too much I might just get a new laptop as as this is a refurbished one from 2O17 or so.

Sup Gents!

It's Monday and I'm drinking Pendleton Midnight. We could really use a guy like this.

Kyle Juszczyk 2020-2021 NFL Season

Goedert to me fits perfectly. But!!! I could see JJaw all up in this...

49ers sent Dallas home in last early year playoffs with honestly less than average QB play running power spread. IMO the Cowboys/49ers game is the second best playoff game last year behind the Bills/Chiefs game. It was chess not checkers from the 9ers.

JJAW is a pretty good blocker. How he is with a ball in his hands after the catch I'm not sure. I like the idea and experiment and it shows the guy wants try anything to make the roster and play. One of the reasons he saw more playing time then Reagor is I think JJAW did a lot more. He didn't do much production but he was great in the run blocking game on the outside and even played well on Special Teams. I rooting for the guy

Eagles announce change to the "Eagles" lettering, aka wordmark.

New gear coming in 3, 2, 1.

The new "Eagles" font will be in the endzones for 2022, and on other marketing materials and merchandise, but it will NOT replace the old version on the front of the jersey's until 2023.

Kinda looks like the Rams a bit, but guess we'll get used to it.

You guys might see a lot more advertising in and around the Linc/Novacare Practice Facility involving the '26 World Cup. The Host countries are Canada, USA and Mexico and Philadelphia and The Linc were chosen as one of the host cities for Matches. The City now has the '26 MLB All Star Game and World Cup so busy time in S Philly that summer from June to Mid July plan accordingly.

Hurts So Good! Clothing line coming soon... Source

Jalen Hurts has filed a trademark application for: "HURTS SO GOOD"

New logos, New partnerships, are the Eagles becoming a global brand?

Missed it if it was already discussed but anyone have any games circled to go on a road trip this year?

My request for a White House tour just went in for that weekend so if that happens we may make it long historical / football weekend.
