This might be them just trying what they did with CBs over the last 18 months. Grab a bunch cheap and hope someone pans out. I'd only want Sanders back if he's getting paid like a committee member, but he's more talented than that and he'll probably get it somewhere.

Not sure about the whole season, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't do well in the opener. Lions have a real problem vs mobile QBs.
Me too. Doesn't matter the contracts Howie gives out anymore really. He'll just spin/wizard it into more draft picks w minimal cap penalties if it doesn't work out. I also hope he keeps adding star players other teams refuse to pay like Aj Brown.
Won't be perfect for sure, but at this point, its safe to say I feel confident he will make the right moves, and have backup plans in case those moves do not work. Best offseason we have had in a while on paper. Time to let the coaches and players execute the plan!

I think we come out similar to the ATL opener last season: some signs of rust, but still handle a rebuilding team. 27-13.
Nice, I'd be happy with that. I think Detroit's offense is going to be surprisingly good this year and I think they can hang more than 13 on our Defense that might have the jitters and need a week or so to gel.
Team total for Philly should be in the 26-27 point range. I'd be surprised if they can't score at least 28.

Some things I'll be watching this year:
On D:
- Do something to generate pressure, especially on 3rd down.
- What do they *really* think of Marcus Epps? Do they give him responsibilities other than inside Quarter and deep middle? This D works better if the safeties are interchangeable, do they see him as someone who can come down TEs and short zones? If not, they'll still be looking for a S next offseason IMO (assuming the scheme is the same).
- Jordan Davis, is he going to be as big a deal as it's being presented vs the run, and what can he do in pass situations? If he can collapse the pocket and keep QBs from climbing to get away from Sweat / Reddick I'll be smiling.
- # of games until CGJ draws a personal foul from an opponent
- BG - before camp I was kind of thinking anything we got from him this year would be a bonus. Is he really going to make a strong contribution this year?
On O:
- What's their Plan A? I expect them to lean away from the run heaviness of last year but very curious to see their run/pass ratio in neutral situations early in the season.
- An obvious one, but where do we see Hurts improve this year. The outside the numbers reads are the simplest to make, since defenders only come from one direction. Reading over the middle you have to account for defenders coming from both directions, can he do that? Can he do a better job of catching the alerts vs zone coverage. There are a decent number of clips floating around with Quez and DeVonta open deep and Hurts not seeing it. He's good at taking the deep shots vs man, but as a running QB, he won't see man very often. He needs to be better at converting the opportunities to complete deep balls when they're there.
- What do we get out of Miles Sanders? After a really promising rookie season, injuries and inconsistency have turned him into a bit of an enigma, but he's still incredibly talented.
- Can the offensive coaching staff do a better job of focusing on their strengths in the passing game. Please focus on your best players, doing the things they're best at. That's all.
- 1st down success. Early in the season I remember yelling at the tv at some point "FFS, it's always 2nd and 10." This is on Hurts, but also game planning and play calling. Can they do a better job generating 6+ yard gains on 1st down. Throw some slants to AJ, stick routes to Goedert, hitches or quick outs to Smith. Those are all things those guys do well. 2nd and 2 or 3 opens up a lot of opportunities.
kind of agree about not being able to throw a deep ball, but Lions got a great grab with DJ Chark on the 1 year prove it deal. i think he is still only 25, if he shines, the WRs are pretty stacked there in Detroit if Jameson Williams rehabs his knee well. about 85% of the way to a prolific explosive offense, just need that QB if Goff doesn't all of a sudden change his game
i agree with @Pigskin Fanatic. 4 for now, but they have 2-3 on the practice squad they can call up and plug in if needed. i don't know the details anymore with calling players up and down from PS, but they have the back-ups if needed.

Yes and yes.1. the total points scored is the total points scored by the Eagles right, not both teams? Looks like you have the Eagles averaging about 22 points a game, which makes some sense
2. Total points is simply who is closest, not something like Price is Right rules with not going over, correct?
