Son of Yo Mama selects:

11.18 - Keita Bates-Diop - Starting SF, Suns
$2,346,614

Did I mention he started today? Promising young all-around wing for cheap.

The average age of an NBA player in 2023-24 was 26.03 years old on opening night. Bates-Diop was 27.75 years old - which happened to be exactly the average age of the Suns roster on opening night (4th oldest team in the league).

We’ll, he’s still promising.

Kinda like how Terrance Mann is treated as this young asset but he’s something like 27 already.

11.20 Keldon Johnson ($20,000,000) - Last year was a rough one for Keldon. Vassell's injury placed a huge offensive burden on him, killing his efficiency and defensive effort. The Spurs losing 60 games probably didn't help either. Now he's back to playing a proper role on a real team. His incredible 3P efficiency in 21-22 may have been a fluke, but he's still a great slasher and finisher, which fits perfectly on my team. Jokic will hit him in stride as he barrels to the rim over and over.

12.01 Gabe Vincent ($10,500,000) - Reasonable price for a playoff-tested 3&D rotation guard.

Son of @PIK95 is back up!

I feel like you just won the draft.

These things are never won by adding decent 8th/9th players. They are won by stars and a couple guys making huge leaps.

I know. I just like the picks. I really like Keldon. He is super underrated in my opinion.

My bad. Carry on with the knocking.

I really like the Keldon Johnson pick. I was thhiiiiiiiiiis close to grabbing him when Burks/Paul went and going with him and another guy who i think isn't likely to be drafted, but decided I'm going a much more expensive route with tons of wing depth already and need more shooting/scoring punch to round out this squad.

12.05 Dyson Daniels G
$5,784,120

He’s already one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA and he’s huge for a combo guard so he can slide up to forwards (also rebounds like a SF). Offensively, he’s more PG than SG and he has a pretty good handle, passes better than a typical combo guard, and shoots like a center. If he develops this year, he could be a legit rotation player alongside Doncic or Curry, if he stagnates, he’s still an A+ defender that can play a bit situationally and be used as a emergency injury replacement for Curry if he goes out.

@Desert_Power

12.04 - Obi Toppin - F - Pacers

$6,803,012

I don't know if I fully believe in the talent but there's more opportunity for Obi in Indy and it's a contract year.

@Kev4029
Yea I want to like Toppin and fee like he should be good but he just kinda makes me feel meh everytime I see him play. Has some flashes for sure but then just a bunch of nothing.

Pretty similar theory of the pick as Dieng.

Yeah looks like Drummond didn’t have the catch’s name next to him on the master salary list, but he was already drafted
