2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (2 Viewers)

Like ESPN is saying, they're probably moving him safety.

Dude watch NFL Network....... Davies and DJ just said he's probably staying at CB given the lack of depth. He could move to safety if needed but he's probably staying at CB for now

Lack of depth?

Other then Maddox they don't have anyone who can step in a play right away.

Greedy Williams
Zech McPhearson. It might not be proven, but then again which team has awesome backups CBs in the NFL? Also, Maddox has shown he can't play outside, the slot is his home. They definitely needed the youth at CB, but I don't see lack of depth for 2023 being an issue even before this pick.

Been very unimpressed at CB I think they see him as more of a safety heard whispers he might go there

They are gonna need a guy for slay soon who dropped off in play 2nd half

Right, that's why I said they need youth there, but lack of depth (I realize it wasn't your comment) implies the current season, which isn't an issue, unless you think Slay is completely cooked right now, which is a bigger problem and discussion.

Also, apparently Ringo slipped due to character concerns. Hope it's nothing, but seeing a trend here I'm not a fan of.

To me, Ringo is a safety. Same size as Malcolm Jenkins, if he can tackle and think the game like him that's where I'd be looking to play him.

I think the Eagles have the culture and defensive vets to not let the character concerns become an issue. Hopefully the Georgia guys don't get too cliquey or anything, but I think they'll settle in nicely.

Did our defense actually get BETTER despite losing all those guys? Howie has made the drop off pretty minimal if these guys pan out.

Our 5 picks:

DL
DL
OL
DB
DB

Philadelphia Crimson Bulldogs

There is some cool fan art out there with the Eagles logo as a bulldog and the Georgia G in place of the G in Eagles.

I like what Howie’s doing. We know these can play. Why not stick them on same team again. It would awesome if these kids end up in the HOF.

I'm in awe of this draft. Really happy.

As for the rest of our picks, what do we do? I know 6th/7th rounders likely don't stick, but wonder what they'll look at.

Do we take an RB? Everyone thinks so, but at this point, whats the point? Means this guy would have to outperform possibly TWO of Gainwell/Sermon/Penny/Scott to even make the team. Maybe we keep 4 RBs, and a 6th rounder could likely push Sermon for that 4th spot.

They should draft OL and TE there.

We literally just traded for DeAndre Swift lol
They weren't satisfied with just drafting guys from Georgia, now they are trading for them.

I think using Penny as a starter, and Swift as a 3rd down/COP and hoping either can stay healthy in those roles, is a good strategy, especially since Gainwell is still there.

I am looking forward to everyone telling us the Eagles have a loaded roster again.

This is absolute insanity.
Really who gives a **** what they say it’s like only Philly fans can be bad. It’s a way toget a reaction out of people and you guys play right into it so they’ll keep doing it

Great move by Philly, Swift is flawed but they likely get that pick back in a compensatory pick when he leaves anyway.
He won't be asked to carry the load. Gonna be a RBBC behind the best offensive line in football. A great risk/reward move just like Penny. Will be a lot of interchangeable parts at RB, splitting guys out wide with another RB behind the QB. And a whole lotta speed. I think we are all ecstatic.

Yeah, no downside at all for Philly. Nice robust backfield. They have an awesome roster.

Honestly, Eagles practices are going to be tougher than some of their games.
