2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (2 Viewers)

Didn't know Swift is from Philly. That's awesome.
EDT: Excited to hear his intro presser. He must have gone from being angry when they took Gibbs, to being totally thrilled getting traded to his hometown, with a great chance to be the RB1 on a SB contender.

So we HAVE to keep 4 RBs now.

Swift
Penny
Scott

1 spot left for: Gainwell or Sermon
I would think Scott or Sermon is the choice and Sermon most likely odd man out
Right. If 4 is the number, Gainwell would have the inside track and be ahead of Scott. Both him and Sermon can probably be safely stashed on the PS.
This strategy would work with Scott ONLY until the week before the first NYG's game. You think they wouldn't try for a proactive signing of Boston? :lmao:

Ya if I had to guess, Sermon will be the odd man out and we will keep 4. Or we trade Gainwell.

Love that Tanner McKee pick. I thought he should have gone 3 rounds higher. Has more accuracy than any QB short of Young/Stroud in this class, he just doesn't have a big arm or mobility.

Very Nick Foles like in my opinion.

really? damn. Looks like a statue which doesn't fit at all in our system, but I'm assuming this is part of Howie's QB Factory.

Traded 191 for a 2024 5th which could be a high pick.

Tampa's potentially high 5th in 2024 is worth more than our potentially low 4th in 2025.

So we basically got Swift for a 6th rounder.

I mean, he's a statue when compared to Hurts, or probably even Mariota. But he's as mobile as Foles was.

The thing with him is Stanford's OL was a HS level group. Like as bad as any College OL in years.

Really accurate and makes good decisions. Wouldn't be shocked if he moved ahead of Mariota within the year.

Todd McShay had the best comment about McKee. He said the Eagles will flip McKee for a 2nd round pick in a couple years after teams see him in some preseason games behind their offensive line.

To the Dolphins, in keeping with history.

Per Shefter: Eagles’ RB D'Andre Swift is entering the last year of his contract that carries a $1.77 million base salary. If he leaves after this season, the Eagles likely would get back a compensatory draft pick in 2025 - the year in which they traded a 4th-round pick to Detroit for Swift.

This is Howie do it!

Moro Ojomo DT from Texas I got nothing on this guy first pick I don’t know about
One of my favorite DL sleepers. Great run defender, meh pass rusher. Could have easily gone 100+ picks ago. Probably more a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT, but that's a small distinction.

Fun fact if anybody cares. With Ojomo picked, that means my entire top-150 got drafted. That's never happened before.

During Hard Knocks I remember Duce Staley hammering Swift about not cutting back inside. Our run game naturally bounces outside.

This is one example where I don't see Gibbs being a great fit in Detroit. I hope we let Swift run and trust what he sees. The Eagles might be a great fit for guys like Swift.

Eagles 2023 draft:

1. Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
1. Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia
3. Tyler Steen, OL, Alabama
3. Sydney Brown, S, Illinois
4. Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia
6. Tanner McKee, QB, Stanford
7. Moro Ojomo, DE, Texas

— Acquire RB D’Andre Swift from Detroit.

I’m excited to see what UDFA’s we get too. We almost always pull a quality player from that group.

CB Eli Ricks Alabama signed with the Eagles

that's a sick get

They signed a punter!

Also doubled as a place kicker, who seems to have a stronger leg and better accuracy than the kicker SF took in the 3rd.
