In my eyes, the scheme didn't really change or any adjustments last year. Just a better offense to put the defense in a better position, who added more quality players on that side of the ball.
Oh, we're going back to 2021. You're really reaching here. In the following offseason the defense added what turned out to be two Pro-Bowl caliber players: James Bradberry and Hasaan Reddick. Then if you count Brandon Graham who missed 14 games that year, the defense added a bunch of impact players who are still with the team. The offense was light-years better from 2021 to 2022, too. But all that is irrelevant, Gannon was the problem in 2021 and just riding coattails in 2022.
