#11 for them, Kael Combs, went to the same school my kids are at. My son plays basketball and is a senior with Kael's younger brother Jaise. They made the final 4 and played this morning and won the 3rd place game (class 6).

Jaise is a D2 level kid and did this to win our district championship the day after Drake won the MVC tournament.

Their family has had a hell of a couple of weeks of basketball.

Michigan got more whistles down the stretch. The just needed to drive to the hoop and it would come. Don't remember many, if any for UCSD in similar situations. And there were multiple late whistles, which is more annoying.

Two starters for UCSD fouled out, one with a lot of time left, and another had to play with 4 and two or three others had 3. Overall, I do think it was biased. Maybe not overwhelmingly but in a 3-point game, that's more than enough to swing it.

I had no skin in the game whatsoever but it bothers me to see Goliath getting any sort of breaks facing David. I mean, come on.

Much is always made about having a veteran team in college basketball. Kansas starters - 22-24-22-24-22 along with the biggest NIL bust in the history of NIL in AJ Storr. Just a lifeless bunch with a coach that didn't seem to GAF at any point this season.

Nothing wrong with late whistles. Would rather have it be late and correct than quick and wrong/borderline/no advantage.
