UndeservedSo happy for Michael Cooper making the hall of fame tonight. One of my all-time favorite Laker players.

Always a huge defensive annoyance to Bird and the Celtics = HOF in my book. Plus those super-long socks.UndeservedSo happy for Michael Cooper making the hall of fame tonight. One of my all-time favorite Laker players.
Doesn't seem HOF worthy to me either. Never made an All Star team and always seemed like the 5 or 6th best player on that squad. Nice 3 and D guy but that's about it.
With the exception of his rookie year (3 game sample size,) PER was below 15 every seasonUndeservedSo happy for Michael Cooper making the hall of fame tonight. One of my all-time favorite Laker players.

Also, getting a DPOY and 8x all-defense awards as a sixth man is pretty crazy.
I’d call him the 3rd (pre-worthy) or 4th most impactful player on the 80s Lakers.
The voting for some of these things was pretty suspect. The year Cooper won DPOY, Olajuwon averaged 3.4 blocks, 1.9 steals and 11.4 rebounds per game and the Rockets were 3rd in the league in defensive rating and points allowed. He didn’t get any DPOY votes, but T.R. Dunn, Bill Hanzlik and Doc Rivers did. Also, getting a DPOY and 8x all-defense awards as a sixth man is pretty crazy.
Yeah if I took off my Lakers purple and gold colored glasses, I don’t think he should be in the HOF. I’m mainly happy he made it since he was one of my favorite players. The voting for some of these things was pretty suspect. Cooper kinda feels like Harold Baines in the baseball hall. Neither guy should be in, but they were both good players and likeable people so good for them.

THANK YOU!Just let yo mama be happy, you buzzkills!
Agreed. Coop making the Hall is way less egregious than Los Angeles claiming titles won in Minneapolis. Congrats Yo Mama!Just let yo mama be happy, you buzzkills!
I don't know about destroy. The Suns are going to destroy their season win total of 47.5 this year...take it to the bank bromigos.
How did they take a step back defensively?I don't know about destroy. The Suns are going to destroy their season win total of 47.5 this year...take it to the bank bromigos.
I think their bench is improved and their offense a bit, but they've taken a step back defensively and both Durant and Beal are older and tend to miss a lot of games.
They are starting Tyus Jones instead of Grayson Allen who is smaller and a worse defender. That's next to the defensively anemic Bradley Beal. How did they take a step back defensively?I don't know about destroy. The Suns are going to destroy their season win total of 47.5 this year...take it to the bank bromigos.

Both Tyus and Allen are terrible defenders. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks. It looks pretty bad.Paul George hyperextended his left knee tonight. Because of course he did

These guys play basketball. It's what they do. It's what they want to do. You can't get into game shape without playing games. Also there are like 500 new players on the Sixers and both PG and Embiid won't be playing back to backs so they need time to get used to their new teammatesHopefully it’s not as bad as it looks. JFC. Why play these guys in pre-season.
This is the time of year we want to see guys like Bronny shoot 9% from the field . . . .

You know what website has salaries on it…The lack of a salary cap draft has left a hole in my pre-season this year.
I'm going to do as bad as Charles on "Who He Play For" on opening night.![]()

I pretty much just know everything in my head, so I can't help you.You guys/gals have any good fantasy basketball resources? I tend to just Google "fantasy basketball rankings" and/or use Yahoo!'s draft rankings while in my draft, but I could use some deeper dives. I always start the season off well but at some point start to go over my trajectory for max games played and then end up losing my footing towards the end of the season. So a tool whereby I can figure out if a guy should be started/sat for a particular matchup would be awesome.

Heck of a game. Needs to work on his interview skills. This Knecht kid for the Lakers is on fire tonight.
Yeah, I think it was JJ in his post game presser who said that was probably the most he’s ever seen Knecht talk.Heck of a game. Needs to work on his interview skills. This Knecht kid for the Lakers is on fire tonight.

Seems plausible. Charlotte, Detroit, Washington and Brooklyn will definitely have 50 losses. Toronto has a decent starting 5, but very little depth, so they could easily get derailed with some bad injury luck. And I think Chicago can very easily have 50 losses with their terrible defense unless somehow giddey and lavine can juice the offense to get to like 35 wins. So 6 legit contenders for 50 losses.Hollinger is predicting that a 50 loss team will make the play in tournament in the East![]()
Yea Simmons had his over under pod this week and those 3 bozos made all their picks and then at the end realized one of the multiple 50 loss teams that they predicted had to make it as the 10 seed. Entertaining as always.Seems plausible. Charlotte, Detroit, Washington and Brooklyn will definitely have 50 losses. They could just cut those ****ty players and sign replacements but in addition to having one of the worst GMs, they also have one of the worst owners.Bronny played allright in what was otherwise a horrific game for the Lakers (they sat 8 of their first 9 rotation guys, so to be expected).
I hope they find a way to retain Ollivari. He's shown more this preseason than I've seen in a year plus from guys like Hood-Schifino and Max Lewis. Pelinka has really screwed up this roster giving out guaranteed deals to people who aren't going to amount to anything in the NBA.
