2024 College Football Thread: Ohio State advances to play unbeaten hypothetical SEC team (3 Viewers)

Those shiny Oregon helmets are annoying.

Didn't even notice - too busy watching Oregon get their teeth kicked in.

**** all this. **** everything.
Oregon always loses these types of games. And by that I mean the games that mean something.

Thanks mate. That's comforting. Wish you well in life.
Even I thought this might be their year. I'm a dolt.

It doesn't matter. It was going to be a let down for Oregon at some point but getting undressed like this is just hard to take.

I feel so empty and broken. Have not been this depressed in a long long long time.
Hang in there buddy I’ve got years of experience losing big games to the buckeyes. You’ll get another chance some day

I don't care anymore. I'm not meant to enjoy life.
Life is suffering

True. Plus, I'm sure I deserve this.
Payback for not recognizing the wrong RB was runner up for the Heisman.

I can't unhear that Google Gemini ad saying, "Try looking for small round bolt, somewhere on the oil pan."

Round?

Ignore me.

It made the end of the regular season considerably more entertaining.

But, yeah, the games themselves not great so far. Afraid we're just delaying Ohio State's inevitable coronation. Seems like their best is better than everyone else's. Hope I'm wrong.

Game back on this will be a 3 score game in a minute because Ohio State couldn't get off the field on a 3rd and 22.

And Oregon about to score….the they need a 3 and out and another score and we got a game potentially.

Could not get the stop to end the half on the last play and couldn't get one on 3rd/22 + 4th/1 and this is a ball game once again.

That was huge Mo for them to score on the final play I knew once that happened this was a brand new game.

Ohio State needs to go down and get some kind of score on this drive or they could be in trouble.

OSU is going to destroy Texas.
Well here is the thing…..Texas legit has a top defense. If their offense hangs them out to dry again like in the second half of today’s game vs ASU….then yes.

But if Texas can generate some longer drives it could be a legit game.

Texas is loaded with talent. As much as Ohio State.

This Gabriel is pretty average for a guy with so much experience and starts under his belt
Was wanting the phins to draft him 3rd day to back up Tua. That thought has passed.
Tua is gone after 2025. They need to try and draft a successor ASAP. Opting out of that albatross of a contract before 2026. No doubt in my mind.
What are you proposing and I hope it doesn't involve trading any picks? We're already one of the oldest teams in the league.

I propose taking a QB.

Not to clutter up this thread I would be tearing apart this team now.

Trade Tyreek now while he has value.

Get rid of Grier and McDaniel. I am talking implode this thing.

5 years and we got nothing to show for it……again. It’s been hot garbage. We don’t beat winning teams. Tua does not beat winning teams. McDaniel is not a head coach and Grier has blown tons of draft capital. And the 2020 draft was total garbage. 3 first rounders in the garbage.

A disaster of the supposed rebuild.

Anyway…….back to the CFP.

I disagree. It would have been much more exciting to have Texas/UGA, OSU/Mich, and PSU/Oregon games where everyone's season were on the line. Instead we got games that you could have just ignored and they could have rested their starters just so we could watch everyone get teary eyed and exclaim "I don't care that they lost, that's a playoff team, they better be in the dang playoffs!" about some crappy team that lost close to some other crappy team so both crappy teams could get blown out a few weeks later.

What a game.

And why kick off the Rose Bowl??? We know the Sugar is postponed.

So WTF?

And TD!!!!! ASU!!!!
They don't have lights there. Maybe. Don't feel like checking that fact sue me
You don't think the Rose Bowl has lights? LOL

The game ends in the dark every year. What time do you think it gets dark in January in California?
IDK always heard the cotton and rose bowl were the last to add lights. And cotton hasn't yet. I was wrong, it happens, alot.

**** Texas
Honestly I didn't know the Cotton Bowl didn't. Is that why Texas-OU plays at Noon ET every year?
I know there's a lot going on, but it's "OU-Texas"

Well, part of the reason he has so many starts is because he hasn’t impressed NFL scouts, so kind of a self-fulfilling thing tbere. I’m sure he woulda left college two years if the draft grade was good enough. He’s as good of a college QB as you can ask for imo though.

6 years and 3 different schools.

He is not pro material. He would be slaughtered.

That's one perspective
