Harbaugh is a winner and knows how to build a program. The Raiders are now in a division with a murderer's row of Head Coaches and AP looks like he's coaching the JV team.
Throw in another 8-10 years of Mahomes & Herbert and the possibility Bo Nix turns into something and... I have serious doubts that AP can cut it.
Glad this has been brought up. I knew Pierce would be the worst coach in the division. No shame in that. But where does it stop? Worst coach in the AFC? Worst coach in the league?
And just to be clear I'm talking in-game decisions only. As a motivator, Pierce might be the best in the league.
Where's Marvin Lewis on game day? Is he on the field or in the press box or on his couch? I thought he was supposed to be Pierce's caddy on Sundays: "Go for it here, AP," "Punt it here, AP," "Throw the challenge flag here, AP."
I'm figuring nearly every other coach in the league would have been saying to himself on 3rd and 8 or whatever it was, "What am I going to do if it's 4 and (a long) 1 or (fill in the blank) after this play?" But it just doesn't seem like Pierce is wired that way.
This team isn't good enough to overcome having the head coach shooting its chances to win in the foot.
