Crazy injury history. May be nothing. But likely the reason why he's still available. Good player, but how about the fully healthy Michigan LB instead.

Powers-Johnson possesses starting-caliber power and finesse traits at center or guard for both zone or man/gap-blocking concepts. He is dominant enough at his position to be considered a top-20 talent.

There just aren’t many holes in Powers-Johnson’s game, especially since he moved to center. He has complete positional versatility along the interior offensive line.

He has a fire hydrant-like build with short arms and a barrel chest/belly, but that build makes him powerful. He has the upper-body strength to bench-press 300-pound defensive linemen and the density to anchor quickly and effectively. He is light on his feet for his size, can climb to the second level and has good balance from his wrestling days.

Khyree Jackson

HEIGHT: 6' 3"
WEIGHT: 195
CLASS: Sr.
AGE: 24.7

Jackson is an alluring prospect because his size and athletic combination don't come around often. However, he must anticipate routes better and try not to rely on his recovery speed as much. If he can do this, he can be a starting-caliber cornerback.

Otherwise PFF showing WRs, RBs and Edge rushers as BPAs.
 
Writeup on Delmar Glaze from Emory Hunt

Strengths:
  • One of the first words to come to mind watching his tape is,solid. Just has good, all-around game for the position.Rarely do you see any busts.
  • Does a good job in displaying late, but active hands when dealing with pass rushers. Able to get them to show their cards first before going into a proactive attack.
  • Above average strength for the position to tangle at the point off attack.
Areas of Improvement:
  • Foot speed and quickness are just at about the average mark. Not terrible, but just meets expectations or the position.
  • There are times where he can be a bit too patient in deploying his hands, defenders can get him to kick slide to a point of depth in the backfield, leaving himself susceptible to inside counter moves.

While he isn't a dominant run-blocker, two key things will attract NFL teams to Glaze as a prospect. He was a good pass-blocker in college (he earned an 80.0-plus PFF pass-blocking grade in each of the past two seasons), and he has played over 1,000 snaps at both tackle spots.
 
Hard to really tell at this point in the draft but Glazer might not have been the top player on their board. But maybe he is. Munford has some competition now.
 
OL Delmar Glaze Breakdown:- 6’4, 320- 21 years old - 2115 career snaps (1075 LT, 1038 RT, 2 RG)- 5 sacks, 34 pressures allowed (1280 attempts)- 4.9 ypc lead blocking- Career 83.6 PBLK Grade- Solid athlete, good movement skills and pure power- Nasty blocker, mean streak - Good leverage, hand pop, and latch ability - Quick feet, fluid hips- Pure power in run game, mauls EDGE and gets to 2nd level quick- Can struggle with speed rushers- Average twist and can be stiff at times- Average core strength Potential for Glaze to move to guard, will no doubt be a versatile developmental piece that can start. Refined player for age, fits well as a zone blocker. Could see the argument for a CB but with tackles going it’s not bad to take your guy. Notably ranks include 68th (CBS), 132 (Brugler), 108 (BR). Consensus 107th prospect
 
You guys got on me for Telesco comments previously, and I come in peace here. I will just observe two things:
  • IMO the first two Raiders picks in this draft may be better than the first two picks Telesco made in 11 drafts for the Chargers, with the only exception being the draft when he got Herbert, and that was obviously all about Herbert not two picks.
  • But one thing that consistently frustrated me about Telesco was reaching in the 3rd. I don't know much about Glaze, but the NFL Mock Draft DB (compiled from around 3000 sources) had him at #145. Now, that isn't necessarily meaningful. Just saying that it is a datapoint that shows it could be a reach.
Other than when the Raiders play the Chargers, I hope it works out.
 
Even tho most of my internal fibers are screaming about the 3rd pick, I choose to focus on the positives:

1. Telesco/AP seemingly crushed the first two picks with significantly higher-tiered BPAs. Refreshing.

2. They drafted three OL/TE with the first three picks. Yes that is a stretch with barely a TE Bowser, but still... Yay!

3. Coach AP seemed super fired up with the 3rd-rd OT reach. He's earned the right to reach a bit in the 3rd, even if it seems more than a bit.

Rooting for Glaze and AP. Prove us wrong, fellas!

Milton is extremely inaccurate.

The Tennessee game translates very poorly to the NFL game. The Vols general run 4 wides and run high-low routes. Mostly single read. Any success Milton had may have very well been because the system was so simple. Milton’s comp% at Mich was under 60%

JPJ: great grand parents and grand parents were season tix holders and huge Raider fans. First NFL game ever attended was Raiders v. Niners.

"Immense amount of gratitude for the Raiders and Las Vegas and Raider Nation."

Seems like a great kid (man) with awesome Raider heritage. His profile had me hyped weeks ago reading up on these prospects and it's only better now between the Raiders picking him and his pop-pops and mee-maws long ago picking the Raiders!
