2024 Philadelphia Eagles - Happy 7th birthday to our most precious baby. (16 Viewers)

The other thing that kills me with Nick is that when Carter was talking **** to the Saints fans he was one of the guys there telling him to calm down. A few weeks later he’s talking **** to OUR fans 😂

If true, this is much less crazy.

Sirianni burner account. I don't buy that story one bit.
I don’t even care if it’s true. Why is he listening to fans early in the game to begin with?!

It also seems like every OC (Steichen, Johnson and Moore) all seem to have different offenses with him than when they’re elsewhere. Thats with Nick and/or Hurts.
I noticed this big time after Steichen left and and Richardsons first year there. It was obvious 2 different offenses.

Richardson might be one of the worst passing QBs in the history of the QB position. Of course they'd have to run something different.
My point is the first few games they ran an offense that fit the guy. Steichen from what I heard was way more instrumental in Hurts development and when he left for whatever reason Nick got more involved. Like some ego thing or something. That’s why when these OCs leave they run a different scheme/Offebse then they did here

Im not sure I buy this. There’s always fans there yelling at the sideline. I remember Anthony Betch and some other former players at his camp and even asked Jason Kelce this when I met him, how much on the sidelines like sitting on the bench do you hear of the fans closes to the field? Most said it’s buffered and most just goes together to an inaudible words. Unless Nick was standing directly where he could see this guy I doubt it. Even if Nick did say this he probably wasn’t directed it at one fan in particular it was a group of them and this guy just thinks it was at him. He admits he’s a few drinks in at the end too

The #Eagles have run motion 41.4% of the plays, 23rd in #NFL .

Last year, they ran motion 26.4% of plays -- 32nd in NFL.

The #Chargers ran motion 59% of the plays last season, 6th in NFL.

Only 2 constants remain.
And if I’m being honest with this one, I can’t see why any HC would be against motion. I can’t see that being a hill to die on unless your QB can’t handle the play call.

Reddick changed agents.

Agent is exploring trade options.

Jets just gave up draft capital for Adams.

Lions just had a key pass rusher go out for the season.

Jets and Lions could be trade partners?

Why that’s interesting to us: The Eagles/Jets trade included the stipulation that if the Jets trade him to an NFC team this year, the pick we get back is a 2026 2nd rounder. :ponder:

I heard the caller this morning on WIP. He said the same thing on the radio. Didn’t sound like Sirianni to me.

Yeah from his gestures and my poor lip reading skills it appears he is going back at a group of fans that were yelling "FIRE NICK" earlier in the game. If it was something as innocent as telling a guy who said run the ball, "I told you we would run!" Sirianni would have just said that in his post game presser.

Another red flag to how this season is going: our game @CIN just got flexed out of the game of the week slot and is 1pm now, instead of 4pm.

And it was for Bears/Commanders, which no one had as a marquee match up when the schedules came out!
Well I don't blame them for that. Top 2 draft picks look great and they want that in the showcase spot for a Bengals team lucky to have won 2 games and an Eagles team that barely beat the Browns. No brainer switch.

thanks for this angle, makes a lot of sense to have the two hottest rookie qb's showcased.

Yeah they had to do that

Listening to Sheil Kapadia on the radio this morning. He gave this unbelievable stat. Through five games on the opening drives, the Eagles have accumulated 22 total yards and one first down. By far, the worst production in the NFL.

Like, how is that possible?

That is like the Bizzaro Andy Reid.

The Eagles' 2 plays of play action were the fewest in any game of Kellen Moore's career as an OC.

There's only been 15 games in his time as an OC with 6 or fewer play-action passes. Of those 15, 3 have been with the Eagles.

FWIW: His teams averaged 15.1 ppg in those 15 games.

In the 10 games in his career with 14 or passes out of play-action, his teams averaged 28.8 ppg.

It’s been rumored that a certain Qb on our team is not a fan of turning his back to the defense….

Eagles have thrown over the middle 8% of the time this year. Thats dead last and the next lowest is 15%.
Why do you think that is?
Seems to be a mix of jalen not liking it and Sirianni either not liking it or trying to cater to jalen.

Moore has historically done it a good amount, and while there are apparently some new plays from Moore this year that have been shown, throwing across the middle still is isnt happening . Sirianni is certainly having a good deal of input on the offensive game plan

But… we were told by Nick himself that this is Kellen’s offense.

Good news on the injury front: Jalen Carter and Slay both practiced today.
Bad news: mailata placed on IR
Yeah, posted above. Not really surprising given the way he was hobbling on crutches after the game. I was trying to be a beam of sunshine.

Curious if the IR designation will entice Stout to switch Becton to LT and put Steen in at RG, or if he’ll just Put Fred Johnson in at LT, so inly 1 position is affected.

Also curious to see who they use the roster spot on this weekend- Sydney Brown? Albert O? One of the Olineman?

If we keep running like this it sets up the play action for later on. But we all know that ain’t happening since certain people on the team seem allergic to that.

might be saying more about Cincy then about Philly...just sayin

I agree. Cincy looks like they are picking in the top ten in the draft
