Nah, it's not about missing Cowher. Nothing to do with Cowher.Tomlin signs a three year extension

I know some fans will hate this because this was supposed to be Tomlin's "prove it" year, but I think this is a good thing.Tomlin signs a three year extension
Pittsburgh Steelers fans were very critical of Bill Cowher back in the day.
Steeler's organization is big on stability. I don't think the Steeler's will ever fire Mike Tomlin.
Some knocks on Tomlin: Playoff Struggles (Lack of Super Bowl Wins just has 1 and some will say it's with Cowher's guys), Clock Management, Gets out coached, lack of coaching tree, loyalty to horrible coaches (Canada) and Discipline Issues.
Philly is the opposite of Pittsburgh they are hard on head coaches they've fired 2 head coaches who've won a Super Bowl.
Tomlin NEEDS a strong OC counterpart to compliment his defense. Never once have I heard about a "Tomlin" offense other than high level stay on schedule & don't turn the ball over. Nothing to hint at play design or scripting out play sequences. Halftime adjustment on offense coming from Tomlin makes me laugh. His head is 80% on defense. Being a players coach, the WR get unruly and need someone to keep them in check. There is no seed for an offensive tree to grow here.Pittsburgh Steelers fans were very critical of Bill Cowher back in the day.

I’m generally a Tomlin fan but I’ll add he is infamous for not making any meaningful halftime adjustments.
And there always seems to be those 1-2 games every year that are “Tomlin games” aka the Steelers lose to a team they are seen as much better than. Example - Cardinals and Pats last year.
Halftime adjustments are more on the assistants.
The reason these teams underperformed is Todd Hayley. He was pushed on Tomlin by RooneyLooking back at the Killer's B's what a travesty / lost opportunity
The "Killer B's" in the context of the Pittsburgh Steelers refer to the era from the 2013 season to the 2017 season when three offensive players were in their prime:
Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell , and Ben Roethlisberger, all of whom have initials beginning with the letter 'B'. This trio was considered one of the most talented offensive combinations in Steelers history. Despite their talent, they only won three playoff games during their six years together. Unfortunately, their era ended after Bell refused to sign the franchise tag in 2017, and both Brown and Bell eventually left the team. Kind of reminds me of Troy, Emmitt and Michael from Dallas. I'd prefer Ben and AB. I could argue for Bell too but I won't.
I strongly believe that if Mike Tomlin wasn't the HC. Russell and Justin would of went elsewhere.
In other news, with the new Stevenson contract Najee fans can enjoy his last season in Pittsburgh. He's not coming back unless they're willing to overpay and go well beyond the $6.8 million they passed up for his 5th year option.
Point is they will be hard pressed to sign him after the contract given to Stevenson, that is if they were even being serious about it anyways. Najee has been very vocal in the past about RB contracts, and won't settle for any discounts, especially now.
...that is if they were even being serious about it anyways.

It's been my opinion that Khan isnt that serious about it. If he were, they would have picked up the 5th year option without even pausing.
I think he'd be fine with Najee, the player, remaining a Steeler. But for over 10 million per season? No freaking way I buy Khan thinks that's a good way to spend that money.
No "hate" from me for Harris. It's not his fault the old GM thought he was worth the first round pick that they spent on him, but that doesnt make him a 12m per year player.
I wouldn't want to be paying Rhamondre Stevenson that much money either.
So his first game will be the week after the bye.Cam Sutton will be suspended for the first eight games.
No.Does he take up a roster spot while suspended
such a pointless signingCam Sutton will be suspended for the first eight games.
there was no good business signing him.. The dude sucks and is a posNo.Does he take up a roster spot while suspended
Also his salary does not count. Not that he’s paid much but adds another half a mill to work with.
He’ll be available for all the division games, 9 total plus potential playoffs for a cap hit of around half a million. Signing him was good business.
Saying it's a good business move is cheerleading.. There is nothing smart about signing a player that did what he did. They are just lucky he only got 8 games.I personally haven't seen anyone cheerlead woman abusers. I have seen people like me stating that people should have second chances depending on the situation. Now I'm not going to go into should he deserve a second chance. No because it wasn't my decision someone in the Steeler's organization made that decision. But I think resigning him was more of a familiar face along with a low dollar contract.
I would point out he is also is a year away from earning a 3 year $33M contract based on how he performed for this team.never transitioned into anything other than a slot corner.
Tyreek Hill to Pittsburgh was a new idea to me

Nor sure I buy that one.
Agree plan A hasn’t changed. Media loves showing the big highlight plays but glossed over mistakes. It is encouraging Fields looked terrific practicing in pads. Seems to be improvingIt seems like espn is trying to pump Fields up, but I am hearing no chance and he really still struggling in the pocket.
Seeing it posted on Twitter but not with terms and not spread wide.Trade for Aiyuk?!

Wut! I'm not getting my hopes up again. Can't take it if not true.I am hearing it’s true and done.
I don’t believe it either honestly.Wut! I'm not getting my hopes up again. Can't take it if not true.I am hearing it’s true and done.
I feel like it'd have to be a pretty good OL for that little. One of the rookies maybe? I can't see SF doing that for James Daniels or Isaac Seumalo and can't see the Steelers trading Broderick Jones. Can Pickens handle that though??
Heard Olineman and 2nd rounder. Maybe more picks.
