Heard on the radio a clip of Ben Roethlisberger saying maybe it was best for the Steelers and Mike Tomlin both to seek new starts. And then said (I think probably tongue in cheek) that Tomlin could go and coach Penn State.

Penn State is currently between Montana State and Akron in the recruiting rankings. Years long disaster incoming.

Won't they eventually just hire a coach and he brings in 40 kids from the portal so it doesn't really matter?

Sure they will. Its a great chance to step right in at a legacy program and be a difference maker.

Do 17/18 year old kids know Penn State is a "legacy program"? It's been decades since Penn State was a championship contender. In between, they had the nastiest scandal in college football history.

Not sure it's the job old guys like us think it is. Plus, it's in the middle of nowhere. Hard pass as a player.

Penn State made the National Championship semi-finals a year ago.

The scandal came out when they were like, 4 years old.
