2025 College Football Thread: Mike Gundy concedes if they paid players better they would have only lost by 49 (15 Viewers)

Michigan just isn't the same since they won the Title in 2023 and Harbaugh jumped ship to the NFL before the program/University was penalized/sentenced
I never take Oklahoma seriously, they usually are exposed at some point, maybe not tonight

Last year Michigan was fine at every spot except QB.. They just didn't have a division 1 caliber QB on the roster. Hard to really be great in the Big 10 without that. I mean they did beat Ohio State in Columbus plus USC and Michigan State. That's pretty good for a down year.

To be fair though USC sucked

They were talented. USC beat LSU, Wisconsin, A&M. They weren't a joke or anything.

Fixed that for you. It’s never past tense. It just..is.

18-16 USF over Florida?

Where's @Capella
That's gotta be their biggest win since they were ranked No 2 in the country under Leavitt
They've been in reverse for years, maybe Florida isn't that good.
Big start of the football season for me. Go Bucs tomorrow.
Makes me feel better about my Boise State's loss last week. South Florida is just legit this year.

That was the play Michigan needed. Wide open, perfect play call but just could not give Bryce a moment of time in the pocket. Michigan OL has been dominated.

Yeah, completely overwhelmed and there's nothing that isn't working for Mateer.
Yep, all the players UM has lost to the NFL the last 2 years is really showing today, especially at the line of scrimmage. Oklahoma is just a much better team.

My VT team is so bad. It’s comical. Brent pry is useless. We have the 12th highest paid AD who is a total Moron. maybe 1 program in the top 25 in any sport.

At least we have no shot at being in a power conference when the ACC dissolves. We can put that to rest and get back into the colonial conference for games against Odu, JMU and William and Mary. Where will be the underdog.

Horrible.

What a dumb throw but of course he completes it. Please keep doing that.
He will. And he will complete it again most of the time.

Mateer is a major gamer.
He made me a fan, I will be interested to see how he holds up against the SEC schedule but he could end up in the Heisman coversation.
Yeah, they need to figure out how to not get him killed.
So far he has managed to avoid it against one of the best defenses in the nation. I think he is just that guy that can do that. 🤷‍♂️ We shall see.

I’m a Washington Husky fan and I really admire Mateer. Wish him the best.

Not sure the Michigan defense is what everyone thought it was, but time will tell. The defenses they have left to face are going to be on par or better than what they saw tonight. I don't think he'll be able to do it by himself, but will be fun and watch him try.

Bruins trying to fight back. Nico looks good in the 2nd half.
Whether they catch up or not doesn’t change my feelings- no excuse for the way they’ve played most of this game. And even now they continue to have stupid penalties.

He will definitely be in the Heisman conversation after his next three opponents.

The following 7 opponents are currently ranked but some will not be when Mateer faces them. And even if they are he will produce.
