Horrible first half, lucky to be only down 3.
Like I said earlier, I just want to get a win and avoid injuries.Horrible first half, lucky to be only down 3.
No, you are actually 100 percent correct. Goff keeps placing it in his hands and it's been an adventure all day. I'm guessing some undisclosed injury.Debbie Downer here but I think that I have seen more drops and balls bouncing off St. Brown’s hands this year as compared to all his previous years combined.
Am I off on this?
Lions were fortunate but unfortunate last week with the phantom DPI penalty that ended the game.I read in the game thread about Hutch's hip drop tackle to end the game and just watched it again. It was according to the rule a personal foul.
Thankfully he got away with it...I am sure he will get fined but who cares.
An idiot decision not to kick a chip shot FG by Giants to go up by 6, then a 59 yarder by Bates that looked wide all the way might have saved the season.
And of course GIBBY helped a little bit!!
Williams and Tessla MIA again. Going to need more production going forward.

I think the Lions win with a TD if they kick it. That drive goes a lot different if they know they need a touchdown.
The Lions still have the Packers, Rams, Vikings, and Steelers left. Goff isn't going to survive if they don't fix the the pass blocking. He took some huge hits today.
Lions may be extremely short on rings but they've had some great RBS. Gibbs being the newest member of the club. What is left to say, Gibbs isn’t normal. He’s touched by the gods.
I asked my dad what he thought of Gibbs. He said what Barry was to elusiveness, Jahmyr is to acceleration.Lions may be extremely short on rings but they've had some great RBS. Gibbs being the newest member of the club. What is left to say, Gibbs isn’t normal. He’s touched by the gods.

LOL Michael Wilson did something like this today. It wasn't a live ball, but it was a running clock (with less than 30 seconds left) and Arizona trailing by three). Not sure how much time they lost, and there's no way to say what would have happened if he hadn't spun the ball (he immediately realized his mistsake and corraled it). But Cardinals would go on to fail to score a TD on the drive and then lose in OTHe should be a professional by now, but this is the third time he hasn't bothered to know the rules leading to two suspensions and this penalty. I honestly believe it is only a matter of time before he drops the ball before getting to the end zone or spins the ball after a first down catch before being touched down.

It is a different game now. Gibbs is not going to get the same amount of carries Barry got.I asked my dad what he thought of Gibbs. As I wrote in the game thread...
If New York had just kicked the Field Goal and taken the points
Must have been such a relief for the Lions to know they didn't have to go the length of the field
Love the thread title for you all this morning but you are not 7-3
Close but 7-4 shows more cracks in the armor thru 11 games or at least makes one pause and ask what is different this season?
I love DC and what he's done, the city has pride, fans have pride, feels like this is here to stay for many more seasons
-Personally, I would turn the page on JAMO, perhaps another RB to push Monty on his way or maybe you all want to milk another year out of him
How can you get 2 Gibbs? Why not have another guy that is explosive in that back field
Goff has reached the Super Bowl, we don't have to bag on him but I think there is a ceiling and perhaps we've seen it already
-I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to have another option with such a good overall team, any QB would find success in Detroit in my opinion
You should be 6-5 right now but you won and no apologies needed. The Lions have come up on the short end of this same stick many times before DC entered the building
GB, DAL, @LA Rams(it just moved), PIT, @MN, @CHI
Currently 5 of these 6 opponents have strong Playoff aspirations and the Lions are going to see the best from all of them down the stretch
That's not an easy schedule ahead but I bet you all can win 4 or 5 of them. I say 11-6 which might actually put you all on the road to start the Playoffs

2024 Thanksgiving game 43 points scored, 2023 game 51 points.Very surprised the Lions are minus and the over/under is 48.5. Don't short weeks usually favor defenses?

SF is turning the page on Aiyuk pretty fast from the time of extension, less than a year and they were ready to void guaranteed salaryAs I wrote in the game thread...

Lions can`t turn the page on Jamo, they just signed him to and extension. Since he was already under contract for next season. Really with they waited on that one.
This is his 4th season and we keep waiting and waiting but except for some flashes here and there it is not happening yet.
A few weeks removed from going back to their traditional silver pants for the Week 10 road game against the Washington Commanders, the Detroit Lions are old school once again.
When the Lions host the Green Bay Packers this Thursday for the annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field, they’ll be donning their classic throwback uniforms with the silver, logo-less helmet, Honolulu blue jerseys — and socks — and silver pants. The team announced the jersey combination on Monday afternoon via its social media channels.
When the Lions take the field on Thursday, it will mark the first time in two seasons they’ve worn the traditional uniform in a Thanksgiving game matchup. The last occurrence took place when they faced the Packers in the annual holiday game, which the Lions lost 29-22.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a productive day, finishing with 268 passing yards and three touchdowns. Not only did he avoid turnovers, but the Lions failed to sack him one time.
Given their reputation for being somewhat superstitious, it’s a surprise the Lions didn’t go with their straight Honolulu blue jersey-and-pants combination, affectionately known as the “blueberries,” seeing as it’s what they wore last season in a 23-20 Thanksgiving win over the Chicago Bears.
But for this week? It’s back to the basics of all silver and Honolulu blue nostalgia. It’s Thanksgiving in the Motor City, and the uniform feels like part of the holiday table.
Decision is a little easier when the guy destroys his knee and also finds his way back to the coach's doghouseSF is turning the page on Aiyuk pretty fast from the time of extension, less than a year and they were ready to void guaranteed salaryAs I wrote in the game thread...

it can happen
They play well in those uniforms. Even when they sucked.I've actually grown to like the Blueberries. And considering how bad the team has been for most of its history, I don't feel particularly nostalgic for "classic" uniforms. Although if they're going to bring back anything, I'd love to see the old metallic silver numbers they had in the '80s
