Giants receivers with lots of space all game. Jameis less accurate in the second half which helped a lot. Lions not crisp and making more mistakes.

I read in the game thread about Hutch's hip drop tackle to end the game and just watched it again. It was according to the rule a personal foul.

Thankfully he got away with it...I am sure he will get fined but who cares.

Lions were fortunate but unfortunate last week with the phantom DPI penalty that ended the game.

Even though the company script is always one game at a time, that really looked like a look ahead game to me from both the players and coaches. Hopefully all that looking ahead pays off this Thursday in something a lot more cohesive than what we just saw.

Giants blew it big by throwing the ball incomplete on second down. They run it and take 40 more seconds off the clock..then run it again.

Thankfully they totally botched the end of game. If the Lions do anything this year this will be the game that helped. Going 6-5 would have made thing difficult.

He should be a professional by now, but this is the third time he hasn't bothered to know the rules leading to two suspensions and this penalty. I honestly believe it is only a matter of time before he drops the ball before getting to the end zone or spins the ball after a first down catch before being touched down.

LOL Michael Wilson did something like this today. It wasn't a live ball, but it was a running clock (with less than 30 seconds left) and Arizona trailing by three). Not sure how much time they lost, and there's no way to say what would have happened if he hadn't spun the ball (he immediately realized his mistsake and corraled it). But Cardinals would go on to fail to score a TD on the drive and then lose in OT

Not an impressive win, but it's a win. That's enough, especially with the Pack and the Bears winning.
Lions currently tied for 7th, but will fall out if SF wins (Go Panthers!)
Obviously huge game in 3 days. Beating GB means still having a shot for the division, losing means needing luck to make the playoffs, especially since I can't have much faith that this team can beat the Rams.

-I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to have another option with such a good overall team, any QB would find success in Detroit in my opinion

It is a different game now. Gibbs is not going to get the same amount of carries Barry got.

How can we argue Gibbs is not as good "per touch" though at the same stage of career

Agree...Lions should be 6-5, but they are 7-4 and could easily be 8-3 as the Philly game was there for the taking but Lions did not take it possibly in part due to coaching decisions too. But this is the NFL not college. The guys on the other side every game are pros. What we think are easy game can be losses in the NFL. Lost one they should have won, won one they should have lost. It happens.

As a former #1 overall pick Winston is very capable at times, as he showed yesterday. Had one INT but thought the Lion defender made a great play on the ball.

If Gibbs hits the second level untouched look out. Feel bad for the guys chasing him. One cut and he is gone.

It does seem like a lot of TNF games are lower scoring in that I hate having fantasy players in those games. But maybe it's because Dallas and Detroit do the Thanksgiving game every year that those games are a little higher, at least recently.

Giants played Denver really tough at Denver. Broncos scored 33 points in the 4th quarter to win 33-32. Don’t think they are a bad team. Lost many games they were leading in the 4th quarter.

Trying to put this game in perspective. Pretty obvious that Lions pass protection is not as good this year. If run game is being stopped it’s trouble.
Pass rush wasn’t getting to Winston. But Lions stopped the Giants running game.

Watching the Giants was like watching the Lions under Campbell’s first couple years.
Trick plays going for it on fourth down when a TD wins the game.

I think most fans were expecting a better showing from the Lions with the Packers coming to town next. Credit to the Lions for finding a way to win a game that seemed that they would have lost pre Campbell.

Lions were really crisp when they beat Tampa Bay hoping for the same kind of performance vs Green Bay.

This is his 4th season and we keep waiting and waiting but except for some flashes here and there it is not happening yet.

The team announced the jersey combination on Monday afternoon via its social media channels.

When the Lions take the field on Thursday, it will mark the first time in two seasons they’ve worn the traditional uniform in a Thanksgiving game matchup. The last occurrence took place when they faced the Packers in the annual holiday game, which the Lions lost 29-22.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a productive day, finishing with 268 passing yards and three touchdowns. Not only did he avoid turnovers, but the Lions failed to sack him one time.
