2025 Miami Dolphins - 1-6, Currently hold the #2 pick in the draft. (8 Viewers)

Dude over on finheaven who called Armstead to the Dolphins 24 hours before the news broke is saying Hill trade to the Dolphins is a done deal.

Can't stress this enough - rumor ! But he was spot on with Armstead.

Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

I think we have two 3rd round comp picks, and a 5th, 6th, and 7th this year. And still 2 first round picks in 2023, probably late in the first.

I'm in complete shock we acquired Tyreek Hill...gonna have to go drink a few Ps & Qs and let this roll around in that messed up head of mine...holy bleeping mother of mercy...that's a gigantic move when you factor in Armstead.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

this is so fn crazy...  No idea how to feel.  Miami all in for MM and wow, just wow.

(If Tua can be anything he will certainly have the weapons to spare)...

What were we going to get at 29 and 50, two solid players perhaps never developing and we gotta see what Tua can do with immense talent around him.

We aren't even giving up a 2023 1st? I love it so far

Speechless.

Able to keep both 1st round picks in 2023 in case Tua don't work out.

SWEET BABY JESUS !!!

RPO slants to Hill & Waddle all day long

Ok, Jets fan here checking in. I'm a bit bitter this morning.

I just wanted to reaffirm that I think Tua has no arm and people will still jam the box out of disrespect, but a grudging congratulations on landing Tyreek for that little draft capital. That's a steal.

Good work.

I partly agree. Tua has an arm when he can follow-through. Like that game-winning TD in the college playoffs to Smith. Under pressure, he's a liability when throwing, but has some scrambling ability. He has the quickest release since Dan Marino.

Ok I guess I'm the only one who is going to be a Debbie Downer. I think we have too many other needs and liked what we had done with the OL so far and wanted to add another possible starter there. I hope I am wrong but I still don't think we are ready to contend and this deal is one you make to put you over the top.

Can’t sit on your hands in the AFC though. Sure they could be content with middling records and trying to build through the draft…but why? The AFC is a meat grinder and you need to be aggressive just to get a shot at post season ball. With a creative offensive mind in McDaniel and the weapons at his disposal…Hill makes them a playoff contender. Any other needs (which all teams have) can be addressed in draft or cuts.

Yep. This is the play that really made me fall for him. Saw it live against my Gamecocks and just couldn't believe how quick he makes the read and pulls the trigger.

And still have 2 firsts in 2023.

Which means if Tua fails they have ammo to go get another QB in the draft. Love this.

-This occurred to me as well. They didn't burn either of the 2023 1st round picks...fast forward 2022 which I am starting to believe Miami is maybe the 2nd best in the AFC EAST, because of the teams beating each other up n the West, we might be able to sneak in to the Playoffs but even more than that is if Tua can be decent, we have the fire power perhaps to hang with a few of the better AFC teams.

-Next year they fall in love with a rookie QB and they can trade up if they need to or still trade 2-3 1st round picks to snag someone else's established QB because the rest of this team is pretty much on point right now.

JC Tretter, Center if we're being greedy?

Did MOP steal your login? ;)

You're not wrong though. The interior of the Defense still really worries me. It is far too easy to run on this team.

Left Tackle is set for the moment, part of hitting guys like Hill down field is time to allow that to happen even though he can make that happen pretty fast. Tua will be able hopefully to drop back a little more than what we have seen where he must step up and fire the ball quickly or risk being sacked and smashed.

Now Tua might have a little PTSD, might take him the first month to settle in and be comfortable but they are going out of their way to make Tua comfy and confident. We saw what Cinci did with Burrow, a much better arm of course but they are surrounding him, Miami now doing similar with Tua, my question is what took so long?

But let's have a party today, we return the entire Defense and coaches on that side and have added a boatload to the Offense and Miami is not out of Draft picks  entirely. I expect them to Draft 1 or 2 RBs with some speed to keep this new look rolling. If anyone misses a tackle vs some of these Miami skill guys being brought in, they are going to pay dearly.

Imagine our Defense with a real lead for once...it's hard I know. I'm with you most of the time but I think Miami got light years better in the last 24-48 hours and overall the past week or two, successful off season without just throwing money around like Jacksonville as an example.

Did your parents ever have a special gift they gave you on Christmas after you opened up the underwear and socks, new shirt for school, finally the toys came out because they knew once you opened those gifts you weren't going to want to open up that sweater from grandma.

Miami has the cap space (still) to be greedy, and I think they should.

Longer post ahead:

Miami has set themselves up with a 3 year window basically. All the contracts we have doled out basically gives us 3 years of time to make this work.  Within those 3 years we have a bunch of picks in case we need to tinker, but this team loaded up to "Win now"

As for MM's offense: Pick your poison.  MM has basically said you have to "earn" teams respect to come off 2 high safeties so that is what a running game is for, but lets assume the running game is effective, how do you come off two high when Waddle, Cheetah, MG etc are in the mix?  Looks like the receivers set up the running game and then the running game sets up the receivers.  SO how do you defend this?  Well, likely cover zero style blitzes.  (which we will see a lot of in training camp as that is our defense).

Not sure how you defend this offense from getting 4-5 yards a pop on rushes at this point....

Feel like one of Jones/Howard at CB is probably going to be on the move. Parker could be cut or traded (if anyone would really want him).

Howard isn't going anywhere.  His restructure likely helps pay for some of this.  Jones is likely on thinner ice, but his contact is fine for this year so I think they stand pat.  Eric Rowe, Parker, etc are likely being shopped at the moment (I'd love to see a 5 for Parker).

Starting to get the feeling that a Ronald Jones signing is eminent.

I need a banger between the tackles, they have track star Mostert as  a change of pace.

they are clearly going for it.

feels like the right fit.

Maybe not - RoJo visiting with the Chiefs.

Also a great fit, TBH. Way better between the tackles & short yardage than CEH.

Chris Grier in one stroke of the pen or one stroke of the trade some how some way just united 95%+ of this fan base.

I was fast to secure my season tickets this afternoon, sounded like the phones were ringing off the hook.

Also will be ordering an old school Dolphins jersey logo with Hill on the back, I'm completely intoxicated this off season and cannot be held responsible for much I post in say the next 48 hours.

-I never thought Miami was ever going to put a legit team on the field, I have been jaded for so long I was embarrassed to even wear my gear. I returned a Tua jersey my wife and son bought me, told them please don't make me wear that. Thankfully the NFL Shop takes returns and I've been waiting to pick a new one.

I know Hill has some legal stuff in his past, it's troublesome if you think about it too long. I hope he can conduct himself as the professional they are paying him as. Hill is being paid almost like a QB but he will fill the Deebo role up and I bet he starts getting more carries than he ever got in KC.

:towelwave:

X on IG showing Grier and  "F those pics" caption
1st thing I was thinking after we got him..."Mr Howard meet Mr Hill, Mr Hill meet Mr Howard, you two run down there and work on pass patterns and cover skills, we'll catch you later at the end of practice." The trash talk those two are going to dish out in practice is going to make peoples ears bleed. Howard is one of the best Corners in the NFL, he is at his all time peak, we got a couple more premium years out of him, Hill won't be the same in a few years either so it's best to go all in right now.
