Deranged Hermit
Not cool & Pissed
Hey, everyone needed a slump-buster at some point and time. No shame in it.
Wait...are you serious? they played a cupcake team today. A cupcake team who missing their starting QB to boot.Update?100%Maybe I'm being a homer, but I'm weirdly optimistic. The loss last week was not good, but it was a culminartion of a bunch of things that never happen.
Jalen throwing 4 picks. He never turns the ball over, its one of his strengths.
AJ dropping multiple passes. He rarely has a drop, let alone three.
Elliot missing a 48 yarder. He hasn't been great this year, but thats atypical.
Going 0/2 in the red zone. That has been one of the few strengths of this offense.
All of this happened and they still were in position to win the game at the end of over time.
I thought the offenseive play calling was much better than it has been, it was tarnished by the picks, but generally I thought it looked like a functioning offense.
I think Jslen is obviously not running it as much and he needs to. I'm of the belief that he has been holding back on that with the intention of unveiling more designed runs at the end here. Call me tin foil hat or whatever, but Jalens no dummy. He knows what makes this offense lethal and it is his running ability and the defense having to account for him that opens everything else up-both for Saquon and for the passing game.
The two years the Eagles went to the Super Bowl he averaged 11 carries per game and 10 carries per game. He's down around 6 this year and most of those are scrambles, not RPO / designed runs. I'll be shocked if he doesn't get to double digit runs tomorrow and its going to amake the rest of this offense look very good.

Well, there is when certain posters are gloating about it as if they just won the Superbowl.

They literally did exactly what I said they would and ended up benching their starters in the fourth quarter.
You were wrong, all good.

They beat you once and if lamb could catch a ball they would have beat your overrated squad twice. So do we still have to hear about the Cowboys or does that do it?

They beat you once and if lamb could catch a ball they would have beat your overrated squad twice. So do we still have to hear about the Cowboys or does that do it?
Lucky for you, you won’t see them again till next year

Nothing like being there, no matter how cold it is.Fun time today. I was gifted tickets in 104 row 10. Took my son. We've never been so close (or so cold).
Great rebound game for Jalen. I know it was an awful team, but he was accurate and quick. The running was a nice complement - but when he gets the ball out in rhythm, he gets results. Running backs got going too as the game went on. Can't imagine anyone wants to face this defense in the playoffs.

The coldest game i was ever at was the NYG in the last year of the Vet. If them real feel temp wasn't in the negative, it was close.bI think it was a playoff game, but memories are sketchy. I drank a bottle of Jack to keep warm and ended up running around the stadium with my shirt off . The pneumonia i ended up getting was not fun.![]()
Is that good?Heard on the radio that yesterday’s total yardage given up by the defense was the least in a game since 1955.
Hurts is better when you give him less to deal with. Quick design plays to get the ball out plus a good run game sets up playaction and running hurts helps. Where he really gets issues is when they force the 30plus throws a game and go with longer designed passes where he has to read the field longer.Fun time today. I was gifted tickets in 104 row 10. If Eagles D has fixed their rushing D, I don't think Washington will be much trouble. I just don't think they have the horses on Defense to stop Philly. How are we feeling against Washington this week?
Looks like in a rare move, they committed to running the ball yesterday.
Still Mariota barely had a +50% completion percentage.
What you[re doing is desperately trying to find some correlation to somehow "get me". It's a distraction to shift focus from the troubles the Eagles have with Hurts to somehow blame it on someone else or some other team.I'm just trying to ask if the Packers are an overrated cupcake team, since they scored how many more points than the Raiders against the Eagles defense? But you are a Packers fan, correct? They beat you once and if lamb could catch a ball they would have beat your overrated squad twice. So do we still have to hear about the Cowboys or does that do it?

So what you want is a thread where no one can criticize the Eagles? Is that what I'm reading from your post? The standard "I don't like what he has to say so he's a troll" is a tired excuse to avoid divergent thoughts on a topic.unfortunately some won’t learn then wondering why these clowns keep coming back into the thread. Desperately trying to do? You mean point out the team you say is overrated that beat the bejesus out of a team 34-0 while holding them to a yardage total not seen since the Eisenhower Admin, and coming in to tell us we have a problem when the QB you speak of had a QB rating north of 154?What you[re doing is desperately trying to find some correlation to somehow "get me". And the same team (the Eagles) beat your team (Packers) 10-7.
So by logic, and it being a team game and all and your own words, an overrated team with a terrible QB or whatever "A RB Haha! I GOT YOU!" and you guys only scored 7 points, right.
Sure we only scored 10, but man. 7? Thats rough.
And most Packers fans I know had SB aspirations, but those are probably a bit shot now eh.
So while our problem is "How does the win look" I'd think the Packers have more problems than the Eagles at this point.

I'm at where I need to be. Rooting for a team that for sure will be hosting a playoff game, that for sure is getting a Hall of Fame OT back for at least those playoffs and also getting back a for sure very good DT in Jalen Carter for the same playoffs.Desperately trying to do? And we just scored 34 points and held a team to 0 points and it could be argue those 2 guys are THE most important players on offense and defense.
Feel free if you are so interested in the Eagles and not Jalen Hurts alone, let me know where you see this team ending record wise, what seed.
Come on man...give the Eagles a LITTLE credit here. Nobody is claiming them championship worthy base don this result, but it was still impressive. Especially on the defensive side. On the offensive side they did what we should have expected...not special at all on that side...but that has us happy because the offense has been the bigger question mark, the less consistent piece all year. IN this game at least, they WERE consistent.I'm at where I need to be. Again, hanging your hat on beating the worst team in the league who had already given up before the game even started. The cope you are exhibiting here is monumental.
Whenever I see comments - especially in this thread - where you're asking your QB to "run more" that is a huge red flag and you're doing it wrong.
he always been great in his role. Just one of those moments in time where he wanted/needed a bigger role and became a free agent and its working out for him. Will always have love for him, he's a really good pass catching back.IN other news, I have been saying for several years now that we (Eagles fans here anyway) have under-appreciated Kenny Gainwell. It seems like he's proving me right in Pittsburgh. He's quietly been solid for them most of the year, and had a great day yesterday

So for playoff seeding we seem pretty locked into the 3-seed, no chance we fall to a 4 seed but..
What are the odds this happens?
Eagles win out to finish 12-5
We have to leapfrog both the Packers/Bears to get the 2 seed currently and for that to happen it seems
Week 16: Bears beat Packers
Bears lose final 2 games against Niners and Lions
Packers lose 1 of the games against the Ravens or the Vikings
This would put the teams at
Eagles: 12-5
Bears 11-6
Packers 10-6-1
yeah, I think the 1 seed is no longer even mathematically possible. The scenario you lay out seems plausible, but I'm assuming we end up the 3 seed. I think I saw on ESPN that we have like a 15% chance of getting the 2 seed and like an 86% chance of getting the 3.So for playoff seeding we seem pretty locked into the 3-seed, no chance we fall to a 4 seed but..

If he can find a way to unleash Phillips and get non stop pass rush from a trio of Hunt/Phillips/Smith I'd be very encouraged. With that said, the defense is pretty damn good right now and adding Carter will certainly help. Jackson as CB2 is going to be the thing that worries me the most once the playoffs start.yeah, I think the 1 seed is no longer even mathematically possible. I think I saw on ESPN that we have like a 15% chance of getting the 2 seed and like an 86% chance of getting the 3.So for playoff seeding we seem pretty locked into the 3-seed, no chance we fall to a 4 seed but..
What are the odds this happens?
Eagles win out to finish 12-5
We have to leapfrog both the Packers/Bears to get the 2 seed currently and for that to happen it seems
Week 16: Bears beat Packers
Bears lose final 2 games against Niners and Lions
Packers lose 1 of the games against the Ravens or the Vikings
This would put the teams at
Eagles: 12-5
Bears 11-6
Packers 10-6-1
Just win. We have at least one guaranteed home playoff game. As it stands today, we'd most likely host the Niners in the WC round. Just win that game and theres a number of scenarios that we could host another home playoff game.
The good news is, IMO, we are going to be getting healthy at the right time (Lane looks like he'll be back this week and Carter should be ready before week one of the playoffs). We look like we may have turned a corner w/r/t offense. Saturday's game will tell us a lot; In Buffalo next week will tell us more. Most importantly, we have a Super Bowl defense. With the talent on this defense and with Fangio calling the shots, we just need the offense to be efficient and to protect the ball. If we do that, we can beat anyone.
I think Adoree has been a revelation recently in comparison to the first few weeks. I feel like he makes plays every week.If he can find a way to unleash Phillips and get non stop pass rush from a trio of Hunt/Phillips/Smith I'd be very encouraged. With that said, the defense is pretty damn good right now and adding Carter will certainly help. Yep that’s what I saw. So I take from that that there is no mathematical shot at the1 and almost certainly we’re going to be the 3.yeah, I think the 1 seed is no longer even mathematically possible.
