Really happy for Kellen Moore there in NO. Tyler Shough has a great story Ig you want more go watch or listen to the Todd McShay pods around the draft and shortly after. He interviews this guy at the combine. Bone breaks and was Justin Herbert’s backup at Oregon. Rated one of the best QBs in his class outside of TLaw. Getting his QB year 1 helps that rebuild for him

Strengths
🏈Ball Hawk! He had 5 INTs and 6 PBUs at Texas in 2024. He is a good ball tracker who surveys the field well and reacts quickly.
🏈Displays natural coverage instincts
🏈Has great range due to his speed and recognition
🏈Aggressive run defender with a quick trigger downfield
🏈Very versatile. Played in the slot a lot for Clemson, but played a lot of deep safety for Texas, which is probably his best usage.

CJ is short, but well built. This guy sounds too small. Sydney Brown will win the job. But what do I know.

Good write up. It sounds like they are placing a bigger value on safeties who can cover. In that sense, Mukuba could be a dimaond in the rough and take the starting spot from Brown.

I would have preferred that they use the ammo they had to move up in the 2nd and get a player like Arroyo, Ratledge or Amos and then let Mukuba fall to them in the 3rd. The other safeties like the kid from ND fell quite a bit.
