2025 Philadelphia Eagles - SB rings delayed. Source: Jeweler ran out of the diamonds needed to spell out “BTA” on each one. (19 Viewers)

Well, it looks as though we have 8 other teams that feel the same as Detroit and Philly. And apparently saner heads have prevailed.......this time. We'll revisit this issue down the road.
10 “no” votes:

Ravens
Good for Baltimore. They ran a version of this last season with Mark Andrews at QB a couple of times. He had 900 lb FB Patrick Ricard and superhuman freak Derrick Henry pushing him. It was pretty obvious they hadn't practiced it much, as they barely made it both times I can recall seeing it. And on one of those, I thought the Ravens got a very generous spot

The rules (ratified yesterday) are what they are, so teams need to a) get better at doing it themselves, and b) stopping it.

I doubt our own defense could stop it on a consistent basis if more teams attempted the version we run. Other teams don't seem to utilize the o-line blocking technique that we execute.

This is a good breakdown on how the Eagles execute the Brotherly Shove.

Eagles
Ravens
Browns
Lions
Jaguars
Dolphins
Patriots
Saints
Jets
Titans
So BOTH Gannon AND Steichen are dead(er) to me.
Not fair as it's doubtful either of them made the actual vote for their teams.
IN the end I almost wish it were banned, so we can stop hearing the insane complaints about it, and watch Hurts convert 93%+ on QB sneaks anyway

The league is coming at us like they're trying to take down the T-1000.
I wonder how much of this is the owners not wanting to pony up more cash, and how much of this is Roger having an itchy butthole because he lost the tush push vote.
I think it's more owners being cheap. Some want to win, others want to only make more money and it's never enough.

I think its also ya know Joe Burrow publicly talking about his team (which is notoriously cheap) and saying "Why can't you be like the Eagles" paraphrasing but literally mentioning our team by name when it comes to how we structure contracts.

I could see a scenario where a cheap a hole like Mike Brown goes and whines directly to Uncle Roger

ESPN sources: 49ers and Eagles are working to finalize a trade that will send edge rusher Bryce Huff to San Francisco for a mid-round pick. The trade cannot and would not be processed until after June 1. But both sides are working to make it happen, and Huff already has reworked his contract to help facilitate the trade. In San Francisco, Huff will be reunited with 49ers DC Robert Saleh, his former HC with the Jets.

McManus

The Eagles dealt with the reality that Huff wasn’t a fit and moved on.

Huff reunited with Robert Saleh. He can make an impact in the right scheme.

Howie be magic.

The cap specifics of this deal: The Eagles declined Bryce Huff's $15.58M fully guaranteed option bonus, which turned it into base salary. Philadelphia then turned $9.05M of that base salary into a signing bonus, which allows San Francisco to take on the remaining money ($7.95M). In sum, the Eagles save $7.95M in cash and create north of $15M in 2025 cap space. San Francisco will inherit the final two years of Huff's deal, owing him $7.95M in cap and cash for this year.

I'd like to see a vet edge rusher with that freed up cap space.

This is what makes the Eagles a team others should try and emulate
Things aren't working out so they cut their losses and move on
Not afraid to pull the trigger, not afraid to end the relationship quicker than some believe

It's a fine line

Howie makes mistakes. Bryce Huff was clearly a mistake for their scheme. The thing that makes him different from most GMs is he doesn't try to force it on his coaches to prove he was right. He accepts it was a mistake and salvaged what he can to move on without compounding the issue.

Who do you think has the most potential of the wide receivers after Brown and Smith?
Dotson for this season for sure. Maybe Marshall or Wilson long term, but we've never really had a good WR3. We're fortunate enough to have a great WR1/WR2 combo, historically we haven't even had that.

If Wilson cuts his drops he could become a good weapon. With his size mismatch nightmare in the redzone. It’s not about potential as it’s more Hurts never looks their way. TB game Dotson was wide open multiple time with Smith/Brown Goedert out and he throws short of the marker to Calcaterra

I think I’m using up my first round keeper on him. So yeah you’re probably right. He’s doomed.

the list is long. i dont normally buy into curses but there is too much evidence
It is even worse if you just look at RB. I think it is 100% cursed depending on how you want to count Peterson's season in 2014.

Jihad Campbell had shoulder surgery. Won't be available until August. Not ideal.
BUST!!

He had labrum surgery in March. It usually takes 3-6 months to recover. He's only 3 months post-op. Depending on how many anchors he needed to secure the labrum, it could take longer than the 5 months he's shooting for. My guess is, he might do a Cooper DeJean and miss the first month of the season. That seems more in line with a traditional recovery timeline.

Super Bowl rings will be unveiled June 6th.

For anyone wondering, the ceremony was postponed due to the jeweler not having all of the rings ready in time.

No reschedule date yet.
Had to be a union jeweler
Hey, there are a lot of perks to being in a union. Becoming a dues-paying member finally made me regular. There’s no way I’ll ever take a dump on my own time again.

And “NO! It does not count as one of my official union-negotiated breaks.”

Being in a union is great until the union itself sucks like mine who’s given away most of our rights over the last few contracts. They also keep clowns employed who should’ve been fired yrs ago. Unions are great in a lot of ways but there’s also a lot of draw backs, especially when your union is in the back pocket of the company you work for.

And yes taking a dump on their time is also great. I do this when I need some extra time. I’d have changed unions but at this rate I’d lose everything I’ve gotten for 20yrs. Currently talking to a nuerodiversity group who helps adults get into the workforce who have autism and other disabilities about a job in the city. Workshop in 2 weeks as a get to know and go from there. It’s the closest thing for me to working for Eagles Autism Foundation so far I’ve found.

My union was great yrs ago now they just yes corporate to death and have zero spine to fight for us. I’ve lost thousands of $$$$s over the past decade, got past up on promotions because of people being friends with people, lost certain benefits and just fought to get an appointment with a new dentist as I found out my old one stopped taking me and others, because our union failed to pay insurance there for us. Hoping this possible job oppurtunity is my way out.

Without the union I probably wouldn’t have last 2 decades at my job but unfortunately my union is beyond repair
