2K8: Musa Smith (1 Viewer)

The player rep for free agent Musa Smith says his client would like to return to the Ravens.

Smith has no visits lined up with other teams. "We’re in a wait-and-see mode with Musa," said his agent. "Hopefully, something can be worked out."

From this article I can't tell if no teams are interested in Musa, or Musa isn't interested in leaving Baltimore. I believe he is healthy now, and he does have talent, so this surprises me some.

Must be the draft depth. JJ Jones certainly has more value, and while he's had a few visits, interest in him seems muted as well.

Got this from Fanball:

Ravens: Smith wants to stay in Baltimore Tuesday 3/4, 11:36 AM CT

Musa Smith doesn't have any visits currently scheduled, and would like to remain in Baltimore, according to the Carroll County Times. "We're in a wait-and-see mode with Musa," said Jack Reale, Smith's agent. "Musa's a good football player and he would love to be back with Baltimore. Hopefully, something can be worked out."

Our View: Baltimore recently released running back Mike Anderson, so if Smith can stick in Baltimore he would have a chance to backup Willis McGahee in 2008.

I was a huge believer in his talent, but he's never healthy. Done with him.
Don't lose faith now that he's healthy !!! It's easy to sour on players that can't stay healthy, so I know what you mean. I guarantee you if McGahee goes down (not a picture of health himself), people will be falling all over themselves to get Musa Smith, lol.

The Broncos have shown an interest in free agent RB Musa Smith.

The Denver Post speculates that the team could sign him to a one-year deal. Smith would join a crowded backfield, but one that is notorious for for its turnover at starter. He worked in a zone-blocking scheme in Baltimore.

The Jets are interested in free agent RB Musa Smith in addition to Jesse Chatman.

Either back would likely fill in as a role player behind starter Thomas Jones and change of pace back Leon Washington.
