49ers agreed to terms with WR Isaac Bruce on a two-year contract, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

He's a No. 1 receiver again. Bruce, 35, isn't the sensationally reliable wideout he once was, but can still run routes with the best of them. He's averaged 65 catches and 915 yards per season in Scott Linehan's offense 2006-2007. Now back under Mike Martz's watch, it wouldn't be a surprise if his numbers improve. He's looking like a legitimate fantasy WR3/4 fantasy again.

ETA: Djax and Bruce both played SE last year. Djax can also play flanker as he did in Sea. But SF has shown they love Battle at flanker with his blocking.

My guess would be they cut Jackson, have Bruce play SE, Battle at Flanker and Hill in the slot. Just a guess though.

With parity the way it is in the NFL, who would want to go to a contender for less $$. Two out of the Final Four teams were supposed to be crappy (GB and NY)...may as well take the dough and hope for the best.

I was referring to where he would line up. Will he line up as a tight end? In the slot? I would like to see Martz move Davis around to take advantage of what he can do.
