Left side is White. If you are White, you have to challenge black. Please refer to the OP for Chess Time nicknames. Please start your game ASAP and post here once your game has begun. If your game has not begun by Wednesday, I will probably remove whoever has been negligent from the tourney and reschedule you against somebody else.

Good luck everyone! (Can't believe my first game is against somebody named Kasparov. Just my luck.)

Getz GB - I move slow because I drink a lot and don't like to think while drinking, but I will try to keep it sped up for you.

Correspondence rules means databases and books etc are fair game yes?
No. And it's not correspondence. Everyone will be playing on Chess Time. Please don't use outside sources for help.
I thought it was ok to use help through standard opening book moves. I guess I'm confused on this. Can I, for example, consult Chess Tempo's openings database? I certainly did last year and thought most players were doing something similar.

You shouldn't consult any books or websites. You can do it before the game and after the game, but during the game you should be on your own. Naturally I can't enforce this on anyone; we take you at your word. But your opponent should be playing YOU and not the Chess Tempo database. I don't recall this coming up last year but I'm sorry if you were confused about it.

This must explain why I keep getting my ### kicked!

I think it came up during the group game because we were all discussing different opening lines. I think for the group game we said it was ok to use a database for standard openings. I don't think we said it was ok for the tournament.

Ya. No go on database usage. That's silly.

I know Getz is clean as he opened with 1. F3 as white and completely confused me.
