5 ROUND MOCK DRAFT W/ COMP PICKS (2 Viewers)

Browns are shopping the 3rd pick to anyone below them in the top 12.
You could get the 2nd pick for the same price he wants for the 3rd *Guaranteed*PM me...

:gang:
In that case I'll trade you the second for the third. You think they have the same value anyhow, right?

I really don't want to double up.

We are getting closer to filling.

We have 9 more to go.

Doubling up could create a number of problems.

Let's just hang in there a while and fill this Mock up.

Anyone have a issue with waiting?

We have 30 days to the real draft.
I would like to have just 1 team per GM also and don't mind waiting..2 suggestions for discussion though:

1) Maybe shorter time limits during the day. From the other draft it seems like 70-80% of the people make their picks within the 1st hour and the other 20% take the full 2 hours...

2) If the last few owners we need pick towards the middle or end of the 1st round we could go ahead and put San Francisco on the clock and get started -- the other teams should easily fill up before we get to their picks...

:rotflmao: Sorry dude... Guess I should have known you weren't going to like that...

My boys are already taken by OZ, so I guess I will have to do some studying up on the other MO team.......Go ahead and give me the Rams

At 1.01 the 49ers will take Alex Smith.

QUICK STRENGTHS: mobile, smart, accurate QUICK WEAKNESSES: arm strength, system NFL COMPARISONS: Tall, and slightly lanky passer with decent mobility and good smarts. Reminds me a lot of Joey Harrington. The nephew of Michigan State coach John L. Smith, Alex came in and only played sparingly as a freshman. He earned the starting job partway through his sophomore year and turned in a great year. He had an even better year as a junior leading the Utes to an undefeated record and finishing in the top 5 of the Heisman voting. Smith has a lot of assets that will allow him to succeed at the NFL level, although he is probably not ready to step in right away. He has played in a spread offense where he operates primarily out of the shotgun. He has had to run a number of gadget plays and unusual plays that he won't see much in the pros. Physically, he has ideal height for the position. However, he is thin and needs to add bulk and get stronger as well. He shows decent mechanics. His footwork is solid, although he isn't used to having to drop back and read defenses while doing so. He has a good, over the top release, although he has a slight windup and his release isn't as quick as it could be. He does have great accuracy. He is especially accurate on short to intermediate routes. He has a decent deep ball, but he could still work on throwing the ball downfield. He does a great job of reading the blitz and finding open areas. His ability to see the field and anticipate is one of his biggest strengths. He has a great head for the position and makes good decisions. He has good mobility and can make plays outside of the pocket and downfield with his athleticism. He will occasionally force some passes into coverage while being pursued though. Whoever drafts Smith will have to be patient, he isn't an instant savior and may not be a franchise type QB, but he can definitely get the job done. He'll need time to learn a new system and to get a little bigger, but he is ideal from the neck up. How high he goes will depend on if the team drafting him is in a position to wait on him. He could go as high as top 5 or fall into the mid teens. Year Team COMP ATT YARDS TD INT 2002 - Fr Utah 2 5 4 0 1 2003 - So Utah 173 266 2247 15 3 2004 - Jr Utah 169 256 2440 27 2 TOTALS . 344 526 4691 42 6
He is an incredibly smart QB who has a deep love for the game. He has made very few mistakes over his college career and I fully expect that to transfer over to the NFL. He is a better athlete then most people give him credit for and has just a good an arm as Rodgers. His workout has really elevated him into this status. He seems to be the preferred favorite of scouts and at the end of the day I think the 49ers are going to have to take the guy that lead an offense over the guy who may have been a caretaker of one.

Dolphins looking to move down to the 6-12 range.. PM me if you are interested...If not I will have a tough choice between Rodgers (is Feeley our future?), Cadillac (finally, a Ricky replacement), Derrick Johnson (may be BPA... fits 3-4 perfectly), and Braylon Edwards (soften the loss of Boston... can you imagine the receiving quad of Edwards, Chambers, Booker, and McMichael? scary!)... :mellow:BTW, anyone thinking of moving into the 3-5 range should at least PM me what they are offering. It is very possible you could get into the 2 spot for the same price...

Couple of things:1) Marty Booker is on the block if anyone wants receiving help... PM me with any and all offers..2) I have a meeting at 10am tomorrow morning and don't want to be the 1st one to hold this draft up. So if I don't get into serious trade talks for the #2 pick by, say 9:30-9:45 -- I will go ahead and make a pick... If I pick the guy you are looking for, maybe someone will want to "move up" by trading for his rights :unsure:edit: I'm out of here for the rest of the night, but will be on early in the morning (around 7-8am EST). If you are not a morning person, but want to move up to the #2 pick, your best bet is to PM me whatever offer(s) you would accept and if I like any of them, I can forward it to JGB95 and confirm the trade in the morning...

CINCY WANTS TO MOVE UP!

I have picks #17, 48, 83, 119, 153.

It all depends on a certain player being available at the time of the pick. I sent a PM to Dolfan (Miami), if that trade falls through and he doesn't take the player I want I will then move on to the next pick and so on. PM me if you want to move back and I will make a trade as long as the guy I want is there.

PM sent to Atomic Punk (Tenn) also. Other top 5 or so pick teams interested in moving back to #17 and gaining some picks a long the way please send a PM my way.

 Heading into the draft, the Chiefs have a few areas to address. The only area on offense, aside from age, was WR. Rod gives them a tool to stretch the field, and an immediate upgrade from Kennison, Morton, Horn, Parker, and Rchard Smith.

With two trades, we have addressed our #1 CB and #1 WR, and still have our 1st, the 3rd round comp pick, and the later rounds.

Gearing up full force to give the KC fans the year they deserve.

I've turned down Cincinnati's offer and sent out offers to Minnesota and Tampa Bay...As soon as I hear back from them, I will either make the trade or make a [surprise] pick

:rotflmao: Hasn't even arrived in Kansas City yet and you are already calling him a "tool"..
Peterson tends to insult players before they arrive, especially if they want a new contract.

Jaguars Trading Block

I'd like to put David Garrard (QB) on the block. Looking for a small move up in 1st round, or move from 2.21 to early 2nd round. Also would offer possible picks for similar move.

William Green is on the trading block and Browns are looking to trade down either a little bit or as far as the 15th spot.Looking for O linemen, DB's and WR's and possibly an RB in the trades. (S. Alexander is on our list.)

I have the 15, but not much to trade up with. If you want 06 picks, feel free to send an offer.I could also package Jerome Woods in the deal. ;)

STL is shopping Leonard Little. As GM I am going to try and clean up teh Rams image a bit. I am looking for picks, players, or some sort of combo.PM me if your interested.

Cleveland Browns take Derrick Johnson - LB Texas.Along with Braylon Edwards is the Best Player Available in my mind and fills a strong need with the team. Nice pick! This is who I would have grabbed had I been the Brownies.

Isn't that a fantasy pick value calculator based on historical fantasy points scored at different points? The other link is the one used by NFL GM's when investigating draft pick trades I think.
I find it truly hard to believe that NFL GMs blindly use a calculator. You go for the needs of your team, based off of your projections, not some calculator saying a 3rd is worth a 4th and 5th.

 even though his stock is supposedly falling. And it's who I would like to see the Chiefs move up for, but that's almost impossible.

That's who Cincy wanted to trade up for. Cincy will now stay put at #17 or maybe even slide back if the right deal is made.

People question his ability to run-stuff. His side-to-side speed is spectacular, but they're afraid he'll be manhandled at the LOS.

Why is Derrick's STOCK dropping?

He did very well at the combine and his pro-day.

Just a rumor I've heard, I don't really by it, hence "supposedly".
He would not make a good MLB or SLB. He be great for WLB. Vikings are disappointed Johnson did not fall to them at 7.

They said the exact same thing about Terrell Suggs, I think he is working out ok though. ;)

He'd make a phenomenal MLB, look at Ray Lewis's side to side quickness. I'm not saying DJ = Ray, but quickness is similar.

Anyboy in the top 10 wanna jump up to 4 here? Just looking for an additional pick.....3rd rounder would probably get it done.

The "Cheat Sheet" was became a common tool from Jimmy Johnson's use of it during his hay-days with the 'Boys. Now most GM's will consult it, though of course its only a general guideline.

Tampa Bay might be looking to move down. I'm in talks with a couple teams already, but if anybody else is interested, please send a PM. Thanks.

Ok, here and ready to pick.....will give it like 10-15 more minutes if someone wants this pick

Alright, screw it....Im sticking at 4 and taking my favorite player in the draft

With the 4th pick the CHICAGO BEARS select:

MIKE WILLIAMS, WR USC

6'5, 230lbs....he will be un-coverable in the red zone. The Bears have never had a wr like this. Will do wonders for Grossman's confidence. I just think he makes the Bears a better team instantly, moreso than Edwards or Ronnie Brown would.

Is too big, fast and strong to press on a consistent basis. One of the aspects of his game that makes him so rare is his ability to get to top speed so quickly for a big receiver. Has exceptional size and adequate speed for his size. Is extremely smooth for his size. Gets in and out of his breaks without having to gear down too much. Shows smooth hips and tremendous body control for his size. Has long arms and big, strong hands. His overall ball skills are exceptional. He shows rare hand-eye coordination. Catches the ball away from his body and won't let it get into his pads. Is in the elite category when it comes to catching the ball over his shoulder in the vertical passing game. Can pluck and run with ease. Shows the consistent ability to adjust to the poorly thrown ball. Will make the tough catch in traffic. He's more explosive as a vertical route runner than he is as a runner after the catch, but he's still extremely difficult to defend. He plucks the ball very well on the run, which allows him to get upfield quickly after the catch. He shows a very strong and effective stiff arm. You must tackle him low in space in order to be successful.

I'm here & ready to pick if nothing gets done on the trade front. I'll give it about 30 minutes (need to check with somebody & also see if anybody else is interested).

How far are you willing to drop and what would it cost for PHI?
