8 yrs post 30k legal battle, WI Wallaby guy obtains proper permits to own Zebra... (1 Viewer)

So I told my wife a bout this story and the first thing she asked was why hooter was carrying around a thousand bucks in cash. ...
"Honey, he's a Footballguy. He easily could have found $1000 in cash in the cushions of his car seat if needed. If he didn't have it, he surely could have turned to his super model wife and had her pull the needed cash out of her purse for him."Speaking of which, are you doing the fashion shows in Milan this year hon?"

All I have to say is that your kid will be BY FAR the most popular kid in school growing up. Jesus talk about an absolutely sick pet. I applaud your efforts. I will say this, you need him to bond with your kid so he won't sucker punch him later on. I can see many awesome kid parties at your place. Definitely invest in a trampoline!
Good idea. Kid isn't too keen on the idea of sleeping with him though. I share custody so he is only with me half the time. This thing loves to fight though and he seems to me getting bolder as he gets used to you. The thing that gets me the most is the "silent ferocity", dogs and cats make noise when you play with them, but this thing is like a ninja. He has a little cry/grunt he makes when he gets lonely, but otherwise silent.
This all makes sense now
I thought the exact same thing. :lmao:

Are you [Wisconsin] guys thinking what I'm thinking? Wallaby cornhole in LaCrosse? It's a short drive from the fox valley, Milwaukee and Madison. It's got to happen, I've never seen a wallaby riding a water buffalo and want to check that off my bucket list!

Still waiting for penny pic before I believe any of this.

Water Buffalo is kept up by Eau Claire, but let's see there are only a few hundred bars or so in the area we could hit up. Make it happen!

Not really digging the diaper.
I'm working on getting him some type of pants. I'm thinking "Hulk" style denim.Bottom line is he is a large rodent and I don't want him pissing on my furniture. His poop is like rabbit pellets so that is no big deal but I couldn't handle the stench of piss in my house. So far, he hasn't gone to the bathroom when actually wearing the diaper. I take him outside and put him in his pen every few hours and he does his business there. Cutting out the tail hole is actually the biggest pain, I need to make some sort of model to make it easier because I chop up three diapers for every one I end up using.

Sweet, not sure who else is interested, but saw:Samuel L BronkowitzEvil Outsideris Furley a WI guy? Anyone else add your name and I'll try and organize something. Haven't gone out in LaX before and haven't seen a wallaby outside a zoo. Going to be fun. A few others FBG's I've corresponded with (but not sure they've checked in here) include Gruecd (runner from fox valley I think) and a few guys I've met IRL in football leagues.

He sucks at posing for pictures, if I get in front of him with a camera he just wants to cling to me. Darn thing can cross a room in three hops and be clutched to your pant leg before you know it. Also, it hisses now at the dog a bit and it ate part of an onion it wanted out of the fridge this morning.

Or if someone knows a bar owner in the state cool enough to let him chill with us in there. He would love some peanuts or popcorn I think.

I'm IN! I live in Texas now, but get back to WI every summer (did 2 of my degrees at UW-L).

Yes, I have a dilemma.I like encouraging Toby just as much as I feel sympathy for the dog.

How did it gain access to the fridge?? :scared:

Like any pet, whatever you let it do or especially encourage it to do now, it's going to want to do for the rest of its life.If you don't want it deciding to box people at random when it's an adult, you need to discourage it now. If you don't want it thinking hissing at other animals is the way to handle things, you need to discourage it now.

That said, I think animals do need to find their own pecking order.

So get this, my boy has "leader day" tomorrow at his pre-k. I asked the principal for the ok to bring it in to show his classmates. Ended up with an emphatic "no" and a lecture about "putting children in danger". I hate this planet. I think me and my wallaby are going to #### it up.Im pissed now that i got talked down to like im the idiot, dude was probably a cat owner or something.
:lmao:I guess I'm going to have to be the only serious one here and say the principal is right. Hell kids can't even bring dogs to school these days. You want to bring in a giant rabbit?
He did site the "no pet" policy. Still, i feel like the kids are missing out in this deal. Sucks what the world has become.
Just sit in the parking lot with the wallaby on a leash, taunting the children as they leave school.

I realize this, and it is extremely tempting to play with him more rough. I do worry about the safety of my son, the dog should be able to take care of himself for the most part, I'm not much of a coddler. I do have a spray bottle of water when he is misbehaving, anything physical and he thinks you are playing. The jumping up and clinging to your pant leg or arm while you are walking by is already getting a bit old.

I had it open pouring a glass of juice. He is so curious that it is hard not to indulge him. I do need a garbage can and a clothes hamper that I can secure to the wall. I thought I lost him the other day but he was burrowed in the bottom of the hamper, napping.

The big one is called the "Jugular Nail." I wonder why?
I know Kangaroos are very dangerous because they can stand on their tails and kick with their back legs. I don't know yet if wallabies are capable of this. His tail might not be thick enough to support him. He uses his front claws for playing and the back ones usually only when latching on.

I'm not sure if this has been covered, does Toby sleep inside or outside?
I've been going to bed with a t-shirt and a hoody and he sleeps between the layers for bonding purposes. I have to leave the A/C cranked to be able to stand the little hot pocket but it has been tolerable so far. When I leave for the day I leave his drawstring bag hanging from the laundry room door and he spends the day in there. He can hop in and out of it on his own but as far as I know he doesn't if I'm not there. When I am there he is usually in the room with me fiddling with something.

You'll want to spend some time studying their fighting technique to prepare yourself for what's in store. Kangaroos seem more adept with the

. Your reach gives you a built in advantage but if he gets you on the ground it could get ugly.

Only 3 days into this epic tale... :lmao:
