early thoughts here are that the church will become more centric again and support for liberal ideology will wain. i have 3 nights coming in rome may 9-12 and i have an outside chance, if things go well, of maybe seeing the new pope sunday the 11th. i think the timing works. i am hopeful that the next pope is not already past 75 yrs of age.Just an observation, but I think he'd be the last one to say that. Peters pulled off one of the all-time musical hoaxes in 2004 when he released "45 RPM" credited to a fictional teenage band called The Poppy Fields. The forty something Peters and The Alarm only revealed themselves as the actual musicians after the song became a hit in the UK.

Ed Van Impe, a defenseman on the Flyers’ Broad Street Bullies teams, died at age 84.
He was their captain before Bobby Clarke and played on both Stanley Cup champions.
The most memorable moment of his career was probably when the Soviet Union left the ice during their exhibition game against the Flyers in protest of a hard but legal body check Van Impe threw.
After retiring, he became a member of the Flyers’ broadcast team and was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.

oh man, he was one of the 60s "bombers" ...whenever he was in an article it was typically about his driving prowess - and he won the first two "World Long Drive Contests". He was a key figure on the senior tour when it started and won a number of times.

I used to watch him play in person at the old GHO (now Travelers) back in the 80's. Big dude with a beautiful, effortless looking swing. The 18th hole where they play the Travelers used to have a cart part running through the fairway that was about 100-120 yards or so from the green. Most guys wouldn't get close to it back then but Dent hit it past it. I remember it even made the paper because it was so rare for anyone to reach that far down the fairway on 18. Nowadays pretty much every player gets it down that far so they eventually removed the cart path. RIP "Big Boy".
