Aaron Stecker works out for the Packers (1 Viewer)

The Packers worked out free agent RB Aaron Stecker on Tuesday.

Stecker retired back in April, but it looks like he's getting the itch if he can catch on with a contender. He and Packers coach Mike McCarthy have a history together from their time in New Orleans. No signing is imminent.

Stecker worked out for the Saints as well but they went with Betts instead.

Last we saw of Stecker he was a fairly effective between the tackles runner and a very good receiver. I think he'd be at least a slight upgrade over Jackson if he's in playing shape.

This,The Packer's kick return game is dreadful. Jordy Nelson isn't quick enough to do the job and Pat Lee isn't fast enough. Stecker would be brought in to fill that role and maybe get a couple of carries a game to spell Jackson.
