When it comes to bagging groceries, I prefer to let the pros do their job.
And just stand there awkwardly while you hold up the line?
You care way too much about holding up lines. If the people behind me are in such a hurry, they would be in front of me.
If more people cared about holding up lines, lines wouldn't get held up as much. Everyone would be in a better mood. You don't like being in a better mood?

You're looking at it backwards. We should be encouraging enjoyable behavior in the (inevitable) lines. Make lemonade, etc., etc.

Those people with the snack samples should be there next to the lines to make the time go by faster.

Lines don't bother me. As a matter of fact I'm happier knowing people like you are bothered by such trivial matters as a few extra minutes in a grocery store.

This isn't in any way surprising.

What if you have to go to your car to get a penny?
To hold up in the picture?

Defenders continuing to run at the return man well after the touch back. Is this some kind of intimidation thing? Show of resolve? Boredom? I'm at a loss of why they do this.

Not just other people. I get out of the line probably 3 minutes faster if I just pick up things and put them in a bag. That's easy to do. 3 minutes per trip, maybe 1 trip per week, that's 2.5 hours a year! That's enough time to have sex with my wife like 30 extra times.

Wasn't it Jerry Glanville that made all of his guys on the KO team run down and touch the return man on a touch back? Some Harry Highschool crap right there.

Related: sites that use the "slideshow" layout to generate more ad revenue. It's transparent and annoying. Usually I'll just move on and not bother. Yes, I'm looking at you, Bleacher Report.

And "somehow" BR is always on the first page of Google results.

This trend of producing songs with profanity in them knowing that they'll be censored out in the radio version.

Pink's new song is catchy but it's unlistenable because they bleep out the swearing.

Just leave it out to begin with.

Whatever you say Pat Boone, we're trying to sell records here

Couldn't agree more, huge pet peeve of mine. It's certainly no longer edgy.

The use of semicolons. Seems like two types of people use them. Those trying to look smart but don't know how to use them. Or those that know their proper use and are annoying because they make a point of correcting everyone's grammar.
