Yes, I've watched numerous Eagles games. Westbrook is overhyped.Switz have you ever watched an Eagles game? If you have you wouldn't be saying this stuff. He is one of the most talented backs in the league hands down.

Problem is, it's taken Westy what 5 or 6 years to put up those numbers once? As for Taylor, he gets injured, but when healthy in his prime he is far better than Westbrook. Turner hasn't really had a shot, but when he's on the field he is a superstar.outside of last season, prove addai, jackson, bush, gore, turner, peterson or taylor(1 probowl in 10 years) is elite
It's not just FBG. From fftoday:Addai is the most overhyped player at FBG. Try asking the same question at another Fantasy message board and prepare to get laughed at for even asking this question, no other site has hyped this guy up so hard. He started out after Rhodes left as being a 2nd round guy, then each month he has jumped up the boards 2-3 spots where people now post stuff like "LJ or Addai" or "Gore or Addai". The only significant thing out of Indy in the last few months is Tarik Glenn retired yet Addai shoots up the charts, trust me on this, it's just FBG, no other board has hyped him to a point where if someone asked "LJ or Addai" you wouldn't get stoned and ridiculed.

With all due respect, I think you missed the point. Addai certainly won't be the second coming of LJ or any other elite back (though one could argue top 15 or higher just because of potential scoring opportunities), but Westbrook!? Yeah, I want a guy on my roster who I will agonize over starting after the most recent injury report is published. They guy can tear it up when healthy, and when supported by a solid cast, but I'd rather take my chances with top-15 potential with significant upside, than hang my #2 RB slot on an injury prone guy, who's QB has admitted he will only be 80% (at best) at the start of the season. (And that percentage won't improve with the week to week grind of the NFL.)They may be closer than I care to admit, but I don't see taking Westbrook when everything around him looks damaged, off-center, and in trouble. Meanwhile, Addai rolls with a team coming off a (boring) superbowl win and will be taking the majority of the snaps in the backfield. Westbrook cannot score for you if he's damaged. At least Addai will be on the field -- we hope.FINALLY, someone talking some sense! Now if he is great, maybe next year I swing from his sack....but this dude hasn't proven anything yet. But then again...I felt the same about Cadillac, R. Brown and all those other heralded flops...to hyped before taking any snaps. Westy is proven.Addai is the most overhyped player at FBG. Since you see fit to take me to task - ever try reading comprehension? I've clearly stated now at least twice that my response was in reference to NFL talent. Feel free to disagree, but at least use the same basis as I am when making your argument. And, if you want me to stop posting, there is a nice 'Block' feature, so you don't need to read my posts. However, I would say that most posters would feel you'd lose out on a TON of good insight if you block me. My opinions are rarely mob-mentality, and listening to me has landed quite a few people on these boards some great players they otherwise would not have known about.Switz just stop posting because you are making yourself look like an idiot. Fred Taylor - Adrian Peterson is this a joke. I care about who is going to produce on my fantasy football team in terms of numbers not who you like to watch on TV.
Good point about who you like watching on TV, I'm with you, give me POINTS, I don't need highlights. For example, people love Deangelo Williams college highlights so he gets overhyped while Foster becomes a descent value play and Williams becomes a wasted pick.Per my email:Switz just stop posting because you are making yourself look like an idiot. Interesting...LinkRB Hunt Is Being Used At Goal-Line
Mark Eckel, Trenton Times, Sporting News - [Full Article]
RB Tony Hunt, the team's third-round pick out of Penn State, appears to have won the role of short-yardage and goal-line back the team has lacked in the past. Hunt has been getting that call a lot in camp and has produced more times than not.

CAR - RB Foster Flourishing In New Scheme
Source: Pat Yasinskas, Charlotte Observer, Sporting News
RB DeShaun Foster has been doing a very good job of holding off RB DeAngelo Williams for the starting tailback job. Foster might be in the perfect system where he has a chance to succeed for the first time in his career as the team switches from a power running game to a zone-blocking scheme. Foster wasn't ever able to do much as a between-the-tackles runner, but he's showing signs he can flourish in the new scheme. He's been making some nice cutbacks and has shown signs he can turn the corner on outside runs. Williams will get a fair amount of carries, but Foster may be able to hold onto the starting role.

DeAngelo Williams is the guy drawing the hype but apparently DeShaun Foster didn't get the memo that he was supposed to step aside. We think Foster will garner most of the carries this year with 215 and we have 150 carries projected for Williams.
You guys drafting Williams in round 2 or 3 enjoy the season, them college highlights ain't gonna get you points.
The easy answer would be: talent.A more talented back then Buckhalter will be on the field getting carries now.ummm.... how is that any different than buckhalter getting them last year?
......The easy answer would be: talent.A more talented back then Buckhalter will be on the field getting carries now.ummm.... how is that any different than buckhalter getting them last year?
Whats wrong? You disagree that he is more talented?Or do you not see that a a more talented back has an easier time (obviously) of playing well on the field and thus earning even more play time?...... :whoosh: good god.The easy answer would be: talent.A more talented back then Buckhalter will be on the field getting carries now.ummm.... how is that any different than buckhalter getting them last year?
Its debatable on the talent. They picked him up to be a 2b RB; you know, so if Buck or West gets hurt, they're not relying on Ryan Moats to be a #2. If he gets significantly more touches and points than CBuck did last year, that means BWest got hurt.Whats wrong? So he has no chance of playing well and getting some increased touches above and beyond Cbuck? I dont buy it.Its debatable on the talent. Did you watch a Colts playoff game last season? Are you going to seriously tell me that he showed nothing going up against the best teams. Incredible. This same player who hasn't proven anything was ranked 11th at running back last season missing the top 10 by the slimmest of margins (2 points). And that's with Dominic Rhodes rushing for 6 touchdowns and Peyton Manning rushing for another 4. How in the world you could compare Joseph Addai with Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown? Those guys never showed as much ability as Joseph Addai. Those guys were top 25 running backs playing for bad offensive teams. Joseph Addai is a top-10 running playing for an incredible offensive team. Big difference. Yet they'll be drafted in roughly the same positions. Just because those players didn't pan out doesn't mean the same will happen for Joseph Addai. He's already a top-10 back. Now it's about how high up the chain can he go.FINALLY, someone talking some sense! Now if he is great, maybe next year I swing from his sack....but this dude hasn't proven anything yet. From inside the 5; 9 rushes, 3 TDs; 2 passes 1 TDAdrian Peterson has not even played an NFL down and he now has more talent. Switz you are definitely entitled to your opinion and that is the point of a message board. If you really feel that Fred Taylor is more talented than Westrbook than that is fine. Does anyone know how many td's westbrook scored from inside the 5.
McNabb went down last year right?Just checking.I can't believe you are saying Addai hasn't done ANYTHING. Granted, he was in a RBBC last year, however he did pretty well in the playoffs for him. Also, to think that FBG is the ONLY service hyping him is wrong, both guru and football inj hype him. Addai is in an ABSOLUTELY perfect system for him. Not many teams in the nfl can guarantee their RB that they will NEVER EVER see an 8 man front. Can the Eagles say that after McNabb goes down again? Hell, you don't even have to wait for McNabb to go down being Westbrook probably will on his own. I love the guy, but you draft him with one eye closed.
Sounds more like a cheerleading session then a football discussion. Carry on.Lets be really clear about this. That is BWest's backfield. The Birds want to get BWest the ball because he's the best player on their team. Everyone else in that backfield is supporting him. Tony is serviceable, like Buckhalter.
I couldn't disagree more with the bolded part, and I defintiely think you're confusing FF with real life. RBs are very much impacted by their surrounding talent and just because one RB produces more does not mean that he has more ability.Did you watch a Colts playoff game last season? They don't have Garcia this season. Kolb (isn't that who they drafted?) isn't ready to step in yet.Regardless, last season was Westy's best EVER. Let's see if he can repeat it before we start annointing him as the best back in the league.McNabb went down last year right?Just checking.I can't believe you are saying Addai hasn't done ANYTHING.
