**AFC Divisional Round - Texans at Chiefs**(-8.5, 42) 4:30 on ABC (1 Viewer)

I feel bad for the Texans. I think the refs stole this game from them.
I still think Slowik stole this game from his own team
Texans need to find someone better at OC, but they will probably keep him given their success (which is almost entirely on the back of the defense this year as the offense greatly regressed as did Stroud.) At the worst, they need to fire OL coach Chris Strausser, he was a terrible hire to begin with. Oversaw a terrible Colts line that had an All-Pro guard and multiple stud's.

I like going for it on 4th there. That KC offense likely may not give the ball back.
Texans D has played pretty well too.

Took a crazy good play & some help from the refs on that last drive for KC to score.

Help from the refs. Again like every big game for the chiefs
I haven’t been watching and am an objective viewer here. I have seen a ton of talk about the refs in this one, is it obviously bad?

KC D is so good.
Mahomes to Kelce is still a thing.
Folks always hate winners.
I actually like the Chiefs.
I am a Giant fan, but it’s time folks give credit to Mahomes and crew. This team is going for a 3-Peat and it’s not due to the refs.
We can give the Chiefs and Mahomes their due and also recognize that they've benefited from very friendly officiating. That's not their fault. It's just an acknowledgement.

Edit: Josh Allen gets friendly roughing calls. I see that and I have no problem acknowledging it. But good Lord. We probably got away with holding in the end zone against the Rams once. The Chiefs get calls like every quarter.
Yeah, nobody is saying, "actually the Chiefs suck, and they only win because of the refs" but they do clearly get an unfair advantage, and it basically encourages the viewer to hate them.

2 horrendous calls that basically gave the chiefs 10 pts. Both drives would have been punts. Roughing the passer on mahomes both times. Both bs calls

From the AP:

Texans are 55th team since 1991 to outgain opposition by 100+ yards and commit 0 turnovers in 1st 3 quarters of a playoff game. They are the only one to be losing. The others had an average lead of 16.9 ppg at end of 3rd quarter
How many sacks have the Texans allowed today compared to those teams?

It’s an NFL conspiracy at this point.

This understates it. The Texans had an incredible drive to start the third quarter, the kind that would make Bill Parcels smile. The officials did everything they possibly could to prevent the TD.

Phantom OPI on Schultz negating a big play too, followed by a bad spot for Hutch that shoulda been a 1st.

They scored anyway, but…
